A few ideas: - Longest jump - Highest jump - Number of clean/perfect stages (no damage) - Number of punctures (if implemented) - Number of wheels lost (if implemented) - Number of trees hit (Creates a bit more work maybe because every tree has to become a trigger also)

    In-game League Support

I think the most important thing to have is complete control for the host of a session. I've hosted leagues in a couple of console games and I think Forza Motorsport 3 and 4 did a pretty good job at giving the host control over what was allowed during the race and what format it should be. I don't know if you're thinking of a separate 'league mode' next to a regular multiplayer mode or just a private lobby thing. I think proper private multiplayer options would be enough to get leagues going. So let people mix classes so you can create a league with a R5 and a R2 class or so and create long rally's with more then 5 stages. why limit stuff like that (or it's memory related, I don't know how the Ego engine works with that). I really hope that we will be able to get a lot of players in a lobby (more then 8) but I know it's harder to have more players in a lobby in a game that will be heavier hardware wise. Did you guys made some steps with the Ego engine to get streaming in and out data going on better? I can remember that being an issue in one of the Codemaster games a few years back. Long time ago I read that so I don't now. :p A lot of gamers asked for a proper service area menu/mode where you can repair and tune a car before and during a rally a few years back and I remember Paul saying on twitter that he would love to go back to something like we had in CMR2. One thing that would be really cool is having a lobby where you can select and tune your car before the stages start. So while other drivers are joining you can already start working on it. So for me the most important thing is to have control and choices as a host so you can create what you want for a rally. Can't think of anything else right now but when I do i'll share. :)

I agree, @justbiglee‌ being a community manager, might not be as valuable as the developers, so we might not hear from him or Codemasters in the forums again. Although I hope I'm wrong :-( One of the most important aspects of game development (and something that doesn't go well with a lot of developers) is the communication with the costumers. See, you're making a game for people to play and enjoy so it is essential to know what people want. What you see happen for example is that when people dislike something in a game developers make changes that might not improve the game. If people say they don't like something, like rallycross for example, the dev should not just take that info and remove rallycross but they should engage and talk about why they don't like it what they do like. You could keep trying and trying to create the right game, or you could just ask what gamers want. And I think @justbiglee‌ is doing a fine job at just talking to the fans. Well that's my opinion at least.

Nooh too much teasing!  :'( http://blog.codemasters.com/community/12/codies-yearly-update-2014/ “Would it be inappropriate to brag about how proud I am of the game I’m working on? Too soon? Probably should keep quiet.” -          Steve Hughes,  Principal Programmer “Watching the new handling take shape in my current project. And seeing or test drivers reacting to #ThatCar” -          Jamie Lowes, Principal Programmer “One of my proudest moments of 2014 was being part of the team charged with creating #ThatCar! Hats off to all the guys who gave a bit of their soul to give life to a monster.” -          Paul Blair, Games Designer (Car Handling)

True. I just found out that they use him ingame as a mentor. "live the life of a rally driver and compete for a place on Sébastien Loeb’s team, where he will be your mentor and guide you through all the secrets of the sport."

Only French developers that I could imagine is Ivory Towers who made The Crew and Asobo Studio who made Fuel and also worked on The Crew I believe. But both of those games were arcady so a WRC sim from them is not something I would see coming any time soon.

True. Makes me wonder though why they would choose this name over the WRC name. Their announcement makes it sounds like they chose the name instead of loosing the WRC name/license.
