Interesting Bakkerud considering WRC2 after Hoonigan's WRX exit Andreas Bakkerud says he will likely pursue a switch to WRC2 in 2018 if he's unable to secure a top-line drive in the World Rallycross Championship. Bakkerud had expected to remain with Ken Block’s Ford Performance-backed Hoonigan Racing team for a third term next year, but was left without a seat when the outfit announced it was withdrawing from World RX last month, ahead of the season finale in South Africa. https://www.motorsport.com/wrc/news/bakkerud-considering-wrc2-switch-after-hoonigan-s-wrx-exit-984272/?s=1 -

Techland also made Dying Light which was pretty good. But the Xpand Rally games never were that great. Fake cars, bad physics. But we’ll see, been a long time since those games so who knows. Edit, Facebook page implies that there will be multiple games, maybe anuall looking at the 18 icon in the logo? -

I think it's not so much being angry at another team for creating something else, but rather being a bit jealous that both the F1 guys and the arcade guys get something (either new or patches) while we haven't even seen any signs on the DiRTy side. At least, that's how I look at it. -

Weird thing is that he seemed a lot more cocky to me long before he got world champion and he got more and more chill over the last couple of years. -

Couldn't they just let both drivers run but selectively let them score points for the team with the other in a B team? That way both can just fight for their own drivers championship. -

I haven't looked much at the descriptions, but toe-in at the front gives better turn in. The wheels point inward and when turning in more weight leans on the wheels on the outside, and with toe in the outside wheel is essentially already turning in a bit helping you trough the corner. for instability, both too much toe-in and too much toe-out are instable. -

I haven't done a whole lot with setup yet, only some basic alignment as I felt that would be a good start. So just aplying the toe to a default setup does a lot. But when I get some more tweaks done I'm happy to share. -

A very effective way against understeer is the toe alignment on the rear. If you put some toe-out on the rear, the rear tires will effectively point towards the outside which makes the rear a looooot looser under load. For example, if you turn left the weight will move to the right. A lot of weight gets on the rear right tire and as that tire is pointing outward it will push the entire rear of the car to the right, creating oversteer. you can do the same on the front but inverted, using some more toe-in to have the tires point inward creating more bite on turn in. Too much of either toe-out/in will create some instability though, so don't go too far. Just a single click or 2 will do a lot. -

But don't the cars have tarmac tires on at the Dirtfish area? That would explain the more slippery handling on the gravel there compared to the stages. -

It looks a little bit like the car rotates around it's center instead of it standing on 4 wheels, kinda like the old CMR games. -

I think that shot from the video is either a DiRT Rally stage or some other work. As the program you're looking at is 3DS MAX (which is modelling software) I doubt it's Your Stage, unless they've implemented it into Max. -

also check out 1:34, something breaks withing the gearbox while he's just driving, probably due to wear. So that's where the upgraded parts come in. -
