  1. Jeff at times can be great but due to his limited dialog when you play the game alot it makes you want to scream at him. Every practice session if you spend 5 seconds sat there he comments on how you shouldnt focus entirely on race pace. Dont get me wrong im sure this is great for new players but when I'm in season 7 and he tells me for the 100th time about understeer it gets a bit boring.

I would just like a shut up Jeff option for when i am in the garage

    Hi @zon1bzh

Do you have video of this? How many times has this happened to you? What length of race?

If either you or @Camza2011 have a full video, including initial deployment, that I can look at, that would be great

I have this which briefly shows what happens in my above post

    Video

next time i have a late safety car i will make sure to record all of it

    Hi @Camza2011,

    Thanks for the post.

Just to clarify from the video, the SC has been and now left the track, and you can drive at full race pace while the others are stuck under SC delta. Is that correct?

Also, the SC was deployed on Lap 33 and came back to the pits again on 34? Has this happened to you since?

No the safety car is heading to the pits after coming out for a retired car and the cars not behind the leader waiting the restart are also locked to the leaders pace, (around 89mph). This also happened at austrailia in career mode again safety car comes out lap 26 out of 29 goes in lap 27, the pack hasnt formed up top 5 are all behind hamilton (leader) going around 89mph, then al the cars behind are going 89mph meanwhile im able to close a 6 second gap to Hulkenburg before the game limits my car.

I honestly don't think its a bug just an oversight from the people who code it as they probably assumed the pack would always be formed up. Since this was also the case in 2018

Thanks guys for the info! This sucks though, never being able to fully keep a department upgraded. And does everyone that does career have Butler and Weber added in Season 1 along with you? I went to Ferrari, Butler to Mercedes, & Weber to Red Bull. Season 2 as of right now looks like this for me:

    Ferrari: myself/Leclerc

    Mercedes: Hamilton/Butler

    Red Bull: Verstappen/Weber

    Alfa Romeo: Raikkonen/Albon

    McLaren: Vettel/Sainz

    Racing Point: Perez/Norris

    Haas: Bottas/Magnussen

    Renault: Riccardio/Hulkenburg

    Williams: Russell/Kubica

    Toro Rosso: Gasly/Kyvat

    NO RIDE: Grosjean, Stroll

Everyone that does the F2 career will have Weber and Butler in your career mode. Also you will be able to keep all the departments fully upgraded by season 4 or 5 if you get that far since you will have plenty of R&D points saved up

  6. A short description of the problem: The pack has not formed up when the safety car comes in and all the AI that are not in the queue all stick to the leaders pace even though they shouldn't be. I initially get limited but I am able to go as fast as I want after 1 second or so ( I am the WIlliams at the start of the video)

Platform you're on (PS4, Xbox One, PC, Steam): PC Steam
    Game Version: 1.20
Game Mode, including if it was singleplayer or multiplayer: Single Player Career Mode
What happened in the lead up to the problem?: On lap 33/36 at Brazil the safety car comes out and since it is so far into the race when the safety car comes in at the end of lap 34 the field has not fully formed behind the safety car.

  7. Not sure if it necessarily a bug but it shouldn't be happening

A short description of the problem: Bottas (Racing Point) and Hamilton (Haas) do not enter the pits even though it makes absolutely no sense for them to stay out.

Platform you're on (PS4, Xbox One, PC, Steam): PC Steam
    Game Version: 1.20
Game Mode, including if it was singleplayer or multiplayer: Single Player Career Mode season 6 at Monza
What happened in the lead up to the problem?: End of lap 11 the safety car comes out. 15/18 cars on track pit. I don't pit because I have already pitted, Bottas (Racing Point) doesn't pit because he has already passed the pit lane since he is in the lead and Hamilton (Haas) doesn't pit, I assume because his team mate pits although he is 5+ seconds behind before the SC came out and every other team double stacked.
If you get an error message, the exact wording  of the error message you're receiving: Nothing
Any accessories you are using: (wheel, pad, etc): Pad

This is what I am saying in my case the A.I. ALWAYS, ALWAYS retire one or two cars IN THE LAST 2-3 LAPS, AT THE END OF THE RACE. That is why I have not SC. How to explain to you more clear? Am I stupid or what? I know that in the last 2 laps you could not get SC or VSC.

May be this is a problem only with me.

    Thank you.

It is probably just bad luck

  9. from my experience the original top 3 teams seem to have a bit more performance than the other cars even if their lines on the R&D graph. But in the later seasons the driver makes the biggest impact and Verstappen seems to be the strongest driver after a couple of seasons. Half a second faster on average than Vettel whilst in the same car. Next season Grosjean swaps with Verstappen and even though the car performances have stayed the same since they are all maxed out Grosjean struggles to score any points in the car that Verstappen dominated in the previous and Verstappen is now dominating again in the car the Grosjean struggled to score points in the previous season.

    I hope this makes sense.

I'd definitely be interested to hear from someone who has completed at least 5 seasons in Career and used all available practice points. I've got as far as mid season 4 in McLaren before giving up as there was no fun either racing 1 guy with the pack 4 seconds behind per lap or 18 guys with the other guy 4 seconds ahead per lap. This was both in 2017 and 2018.

Thats what happens when you have a fully upgraded car and the rest of the field doesnt, it has nothing to do with team mates being OP its the car. I did 7/8 seasons on 2018 and I had plenty of fun

I'm on a PS4 and new to the F1 2019 game. I find that the gamepad is twitchy and difficult to take the curves with. With no assists I have been braking and down shifting in a straight line and then turning into the curve when I slow down enough. I'm told this is making me slow. Is there a way to turn in while braking and keep from locking up? I have a need for speed!

    Thanks....

move the brake bias towards the rear, I normally run around 54%
