  1. Nowdays these terms are usually used in very wide variety of ways (even by the devs), but I think correct separation should be between Sim and a Game. While developing a Sim, devs would try to come up with most realistic driving model possible with no exceptions and while developing a game, devs might try to make a realistic game, but still make it easyer to drive the car so that you wouldn't have to acquire skills of a pro racing driver to be good (this is the case with Dirt, Project Cars, Grand Turismo, Forza etc.), or just make a plane arcade where it is obviously not pretending to be realistic. Also people are often arguing about Dirt being a sim and comparing it to RBR, but I think if Codies would give a honest answer, they'd confirm that they weren't trying to make a hardcore sim.

Yeah, thought soo, I wouldn't expect to get real hardcore damage in Dirt game.

Well after seeing some videos of the final version I can say that it looks better than Dirt 4 and maybe thane Dirt rally, I'm not sure. It doesn't really look groundbreaking, there is the same old physics engine with that effect of car being held by a rubber band at it's center, which is very obvious on tarmac, so the driver takes turns by doing little multiple slides.

That would be awful. Is there some footage of hardcore damage though?

I wonder of the ruts do anything or it's just visual? Because this and I saw in some other track that after rain the track looks very trashed and seems that it ride even in a straight line should be very difficult.
