  1. Many not even that much. The last job I worked at for almost 9 years had zero paid time off. And to be clear, the US has no federal law requiring employers to give any PTO at all.
  2. I prefer to keep my wheel set to its maximum of 900 degrees, then calibrate in DR2 so rotation matches each car's steering ratio, even if it may not be ideal
  3. There are other hillclimb events on Earth besides Pike's Peak.
  4. Not pace notes, patch notes.
  5. Patch notes look awesome!! It's taken a long time but DR2.0 is finally shaping up to fulfill its massive potential IMO.
  6. Hey @urgaffel just thought I'd check in - will this make it into 1.6? Thanks again!
  7. Fantastic! Thanks for going the extra mile here.
  8. I have a video processing to Youtube right now to show what I mean. Will link when it's ready. edit: @urgaffel Video uploaded. Click timestamps in the description to go straight to each of the weather settings. I know compression makes things sucky to look at, but you can still see the raindrops aren't what they should be. Heavy rain does have them, but they are very light and you don't even need the wipers on to drive in it (totally different compared to Dirt 4.) Max settings on PC, 2080 Ti, also tried on my other PC w/ 980 Ti, same thing there. 165hz display at 100+fps.
  9. OK, I know you're not feeling well and some of the overly-harsh criticism wears on you and your mates at CM, but this is the kind of thing that's frustrating. There's a thread, made by Christina, specifically for bug reporting. This was reported there and more than once. Does no one from CM read those threads and report the bugs to the people who can actually effect changes? Anyway, the bug is that in anything but "heavy rain" weather settings, there are no droplets on the glass in the cockpit views. Try it yourself right now. Set up a custom championship so you can choose any of the rain
  10. Nice! Thanks for keeping DR2.0 humming along. Will the rain fix also include fixes for the missing windshield (windscreen ) droplet effects?
  11. It's bizarre that the Grid reboot even has the same cars (so the old models of the "new" Camaro, Challenger, etc.) I mean they're still cool cars and I guess technically no different from having a 1970 Camaro or whatever, but... it just seems odd to me because usually racing games featuring modern sports cars have the latest version of them, not 10 year old ones. I guess they are trying to make the least amount of work to launch the reboot by reusing as many old assets as possible.
  12. Those pics of the 911 SC... ūü§™
  13. That sounds like a completely different issue. The one people are talking about in this thread is a constant rhythmic stutter that happens at all times during the game, even sitting in the menus.
  14. Yep, the Germany rally files are now in the locations folder.
  15. Gotta say I'm really happy with the 911 SC and 037 (even if one of those is just rehashed content.) Can't wait to hear the sound of the 911 - it's gonna be awesome if the M1 is any indication.
  16. Man, not even one new location for rally in the DLC? Really disappointing.
  17. Yes, it's definitely standard industry practice to keep a much smaller team on a project once it's gone live since the heaviest workloads of the development process have been completed. However, what's not standard is to shuffle the human resources before significant feedback has even been addressed.
  18. Well, we already know the DR2 team is down to a skeleton crew with the key devs having been moved to other Codies projects. At this point, I don't think we'll see any of these requested fixes aside from maybe FFB and bug fixes for critical/game-breaking bugs. The rest of their effort will be wrapping up DLC through Season 2.
  19. Ore stuff? Is there going to be some kind of mining minigame?
  20. Speaking of liveries, the the season 1 ones so far have been really bad. No offense intended to whoever made them, but it looks like they were thrown together in about 30 minutes.
  21. If there was one person on this planet I couldn't care less about, it's Ken Block.
  22. The sound guy/person/team for DiRT Rally 2.0 is like the hero of their whole team.
  23. It's interesting to hear your feedback about this, because I personally find the gamepad handling to be FAR better in DR2 than DR1. It was always very difficult for me to catch slides and "powersteer" through corners in RWD cars in DR1, but in DR2 I can beautifully link drift after drift. It's still not as good or as intuitive as Forza IMO but it's getting close. Wreckfest is another fantastic example of how to tune gamepad handling in a realistic racing game (and before you laugh at me saying "realistic" regarding Wreckfest, don't knock it till you try it - the physics/handling in Wreckfest a
  24. I have set a few world records with a gamepad. It does seem easier to me, and it sure is convenient not having to set up my wheel + pedals + shifter/handbrake when I want to play... but nothing beats the immersion.
  25. Hahaha, the jumps are perfect
