I should fix my old og xbox and play PGR 1. Loved that game. The backwards compatibility on 360 sucked for it sadly.
-
I found Alvarez being up to 1min+ faster or slower in the same car on the same stage just based on what I was driving the worst.
-
Really nice to see aspects of the game that suffered a lot in D4 getting lots of love and attention to make them as awesome as possible.
-
I think a cool idea for multiplayer would be to not have it be a buggy frequently crashing mess that wipes progress and temp bans you every time it crashes.
-
Looks like the cockpit camera movement is more in line with what I like. Hard to say watching other people play how much I'll like it, but definitely less rigid than D4.
-
If we get crashed/broken down cars again can we not have them present in the shakedowns like D4? Always annoyed me that they were there pre-crashed before they'd retired from the stage.
-
Probably at least get that B-Roll video being used as B-Roll.
-
One thing I really hope is more like DR than D4 is the cockpit cam. Had a bit more movement in the camera relative to the car in DR that made it easier to tell how the car was behaving. Small thing but made a big difference for me playing on controller and not having ffb through a wheel to get that info.

Tea is nice, but coffee... I'd die without coffee.

Hoping it plays nicely with steam play. Do most of my gaming on linux these days, and can't see them doing a native version if VR is considered too much effort.
-
The rickroll is forgiven but DiRT 4 is not.
-
Getting better at DR was just so damn rewarding. Winning the masters in the 037 felt like a major achievement. I was legit proud of myself for being able to do it.

not afraid = fearless as in be fearless as in dirt 4 as in there is nothing to be afraid of because the back end never kicks out
-
You just described my ideal game... The problem with D4 for me in this regard was that a lot of the extra stuff was menu options posing as gameplay, and some of them negatively impacted on the core gameplay. (Looking at you, crew chief in a shitty mood. I did all of the work coming up with a partial fix to the busted handling on this car. Who are you to say I can't use my own work and have to do it again?)

I think they were aiming for 2.0pm but they're still mashing the generate button on Your Announcement to get something that doesn't repeat the same paragraph 20 times.
-
Why would you want a Dirt 4 part 2 instead of a new game? It feels too far down the line for D4 updates. I mean you have two choices. One is releasing a major overhaul of a game that got mixed reviews and most of the people who bought it have already moved on from. The other is releasing it as a new game and marketing it as a return to form for the developer and a successor to a much more well liked game. Really don't see the upside to the first option.

My clock says 13:03 and I can't see anything online. Looks like @RallyDriven is buying his own dinner tonight... It would only be fitting for it to be announced at 2pm local time. I think you mean 2.0pm

I cracked all the codes they give a link to the first roadbook. Here's the tldr: Everyone got tired of driving the same cars and over again so they're replacing licensed cars with procedurally generated cars. Clubs will not be in the game at launch. They'll be replaced by a more streamlined community multiplayer mode called Leagues. The Leagues update will come out 3 months after most people stop playing. There will now be 3 handling modes. They'll only be tested on FWD cars. I'm sure the others will be fine. AI difficulty will scale based on how much your random gen car looks like a BMW E30.

After DiRT 4 being so hyped by CM, and so many of the hyped up features under delivering, it's important to be somewhat sceptical of their promises for the new game. I'm expecting DiRT Rally 1.5 DiRT Rally 1.8 at best.
-
If that means handling like D4 again and more arbitrarily being locked out of setups by staff mood swings I'm gonna cry.
-
DiRT 4 confirmed!
-
Finally some AI fixes. I might actually be able to use the cars I like in career now.
-
So how long until the next patch in a few weeks announcement?
-
I wonder which sidequests you mean? I assume the first one is the augmented murder investigation, but the second? The cult and the underground newspaper were my favourites.

Re: Mankind Divided, I enjoyed it overall. It's a smaller scale story than Human Revolution so less travelling the world and you basically just stop one plot. I think the smaller scale of what you achieve, a bit of sequel bait at the end, and Prague being the only hub area left it feeling unfinished to a lot of people. I really enjoyed it though, Prague shits on all of the HR hubs combined and the story is good. Also has two of the best sidequests in any game ever.
