The argument for buying digital loses traction when it's cheaper to buy a DVD than the platform digital store. Steam do have a lot of sale seasons. Also, we've not mentioned key resellers. Because physical and digital copies also sell at different prices in different territories then you can buy the game cheaper digitally if you use a reseller. I last bought a physical copy in 2016. I used to be on console (X360). F1 2010 I bought with the console as a 'free' game. (I also got Forza 3 and FIFA 10). F1 2011 I bought from ShopTo as I did with F1 2012 and F1 2016 (PC DVD) because I got a loyalty deal. F1 2013 Classic Edition (X360) and F1 2014 (PC) I think was from Bee.com but it was still physical. (F1 2013 was the last console title before moving to PC, I then sold the console and games). F1 2015 I bought from Steam on sale. F1 2017 I bought from CDKeys.com as I did F1 2018 & F1 2019. F1 2020 Schumacher Edition was 'free' with a Fanatec steering wheel (yes, that one). Oddly I picked up F1 2012 (new) as a physical copy on Amazon, F1 2010 and F1 2011 (both preowned) as physical on eBay. At that point, I wasn't mandated to Steam. I also added F1 2010, F1 2011 and F1 2013 Classic Edition digitally in Steam sales (purely because installing F1 2010 from disc was a pain with GFWL and there was a patch). I also bought F1 2009 on Wii even though I don't have one (I used to play it on a relative's system that is now not accessible as they've moved 😉 ) Prices? Console was always more expensive. Only F1 2010 and F1 2015 were not day one releases.

Post a dxdiag, sounds like you're used to HDR, not quite like your XB1. But PC does have some advantages.

The $5 discount was Steam Road Trip on purchases over $30? Wasnt sure both would apply but one must be dev and one platform so... ....happy days when you can d/l -
Look, you can call it what you want. It's not a BS point of view, you saying that is virtue signalling. Sport will tire of these token gestures - because it's what they are. Because, attention span....ooh, shiny. Raising awareness, donating, makes you feel better about yourself and trying to project you give a **** about this week's chosen topic. No, you have to live this ****. Like clapping for the NHS, waste of ten weeks; might as well have all slapped each other on the back for ten weeks. How you act - has a direct influence on how the NHS were able to deal with the first wave (and I say first wave). Staying home, observing protocol, washing hands, acting responsibly towards others. Plenty of people can be Covidiots and still clap. "What a great guy" Nope, maybe not, maybe he broke restrictions because of self, etc. I digress, but the point is the same. You're not going to reach the individuals who have the mindset to be prejudiced against anyone else unless you tackle them directly and take action. How long before the PL drop the 'taking the knee' message? I reckon by the end of this domestic season if not sooner. And it won't have changed a thing. And yeah the majority of fair-minded people will accept this "message" for as long as it endures. I don't think it's a bad thing, but to let it go unchallenged and say "we have to do this", no I'm sorry, they don't. Also, some fair-minded people CAN say "I find all this a bit wide of the point". Individuals are nurtured, not brainwashed. Lewis Hamilton drives the Mercedes because he is the best driver. He drives Mercedes because they have the best car. Let's not go into the ethics of German industry, because it can read like the legacy of the British Empire which some people want to seemingly power-wash from history and punish the people of the present for past wrongs. We are all people. I believe in the individual and I believe in meritocracy. What we have right now is a mess, pretty far from that.
-
"Valterri, it's James...." F1 should be a meritocracy. It's not. Money talks, make a point about that. It tarnishes the sport (if it can still be classified as that). Turbo hybrids are greener, but go against the ethos of The Formula (which has become so diluted that I'm not even sure it has lineage). Let's go fully Tron and have done with it. Interactive race seat via Google Stadia.

Put the FPS counter on, the FPS goes skyrocketing in the menus (known issue, no word on why or if it will be considered for a fix). I recommend frame capping as a fix.

Because right now Nvidia are churning out garbage month on month. They want to focus on toys for new hardware; DLSS and HAGS. Unless your card starts with RTX they've had your cash. Just my 10c.

[PC]- Career mode - Game doesn't know how to count points in Constructors Championship ^^

Agree, but the patch cycle is over for F1 2019. Hopefully the developers will check for this in F1 2020. It is definitely a bug. -
Not sure where you've seen the 10% discount on XBOne. AFAIK the 10% discount is only applicable on Steam.

Without wanting to give too much away I think it will be quite large yes.

F1® 2019 - Compatible Wheels And Controllers
steviejay69 replied to Faya's topic in General Discussion
Just because something costs £000s does not automatically get you in the gate. Read this https://community.granitedevices.com/t/f1-2019-help-needed/2952/17 So it looks like you need to rely on the True Drive software then setting up the wheel in-game. https://granitedevices.com/wiki/Simucube_2_True_Drive_releases -
Something like that, yes at least. Even if you pre-download there with still be the Day 1 patch....

Fairly sure it's the game framerate and the desktop refresh getting out of sync. If you were to cap the framerate at lower than the desktop then I'm sure it would be fine. It's just I have a 99Hz option on the framerate and 100Hz desktop. Depending on HOW it's capped I think is also important. It's also important to note that Freesync and G-Sync screens should have V-SYNC ON to meet the spec. I know if I have V-SYNC OFF the in-game framelimiter doesn't really work, especially if the game is in a menu as the FPS counters shoot up over 130FPS. But the crashing is exacerbated by the 2004 build.

Usually about 2-3 days before going live.

You're such a plum...."Do they have GB...? No, good." Scrolled past UK flag right at the top of the game. Also, your "friends" in NI say "Ye boy".

Game runs at 4k on 2 output devices. Kind of.

I think you need to refer to how to use multiple displays in Windows and check the settings in your graphics driver. -

Nvidia owners - how do you run your screen in F1 2019
steviejay69 posted a topic in General Discussion
So, as some of you may or may not know I have two PC builds that I am using on the F1 series. One build is with an Nvidia GPU (6GB GTX1060). When playing in multiplayer sessions I am experiencing what I would like to describe as frame-rate issues but the frame rates do not drop. The gameplay does not stutter (often) or tear but playing is not as smooth an experience as with my AMD GPU (RX580 8GB - actually a flashed RX480). ALT-TAB in and out is ineffective. So, the questions I would like feedback on are; Do you have a G-SYNC compatible monitor (Yes/No)? How do you connect to your display (DP/HDMI/DVI/D-SUB)? What is the refresh rate of your screen (144+/120/100/75+/60)? V-SYNC (Yes/No)? Framelimiter (external tuner or use in-game option) (Yes/No)? Video mode (Fullscreen exclusive/Windowed (Fullscreen))? Desktop refresh rate (I'll leave this open to answer seeing as it does make a difference for me at least)? Nvidia Control Panel sync mode? The problem is not present in Offline mode, just multiplayer. But depending on answers, I may not need more questions (yet). -
Yeah It's harder to get the older drivers from Thrustmaster for sure.
-
@swifty778 @Fusobhz @Pikok @Morsify @Bazzaqne @DpMario11 FYI, I am about to remove (probably by the release of F1 2020) these archived drivers if they are not required. I have changed my wheel and will be using Fanatec CSL Elite Wheelbase, CSP F1 2020 LE rim, CSPv1 pedals. It occurs to me that Thrustmaster are the only major wheel supplier not using 64-bit drivers. Logitech and Fanatec being the mainstream alternatives. No response to my message to Thrustmaster Tech Support bar the first automated.

I realise trying the suggestions is tedious, but it's not widely reported so I'm thinking it is something specific to your settings. -

F1 2019 I got crash all the time after start
steviejay69 replied to Jani07's topic in Technical Assistance
Software microcode update KB4497165 you may have had this if you check your Update History. Installing it can only help, the BIOS 1402 is quite outdated. USB 2.0 ports are located under the keyboard connector and not coloured blue like the USB 3.0 - also from front panel connectors connected to USB910, USB78, USB56 or USB34 along the bottom edge of the motherboard. Try the controller and the keyboard dongle in those (this is usually what I recommend for wheels so it might not have much effect). Try also disabling the Image Sharpening in the Nvidia Control Panel. Try manually editing the hardware_settings_config.xml to alter the bold items to your display recommended 3840 x 2160 -

Clean boot won't help. It's the game that's crashing, not Windows. And if you don't post the motherboard make and model I can't suggest anything else.
