GHub Update broke my G29. I fixed it.
steviejay69 replied to DrDraken's topic in Technical Assistance
I think the problem lies in that LGS uses a different named FFB dll to GHub. Know that LGS is stopped there will be no more updates. GHub is the only way forward but you should contact Logitech with your concerns. Everyone makes this a Codemasters problem when quite clearly there are other factors at play. However, as well as having a supported controller list, the PC list should be qualified by saying what software had been used during game development. Then half of the controller related issues should disappear overnight. The other elephant in the room is USB 3 and hubs. I have a dongle based USB keyboard combo in a hub off my monitor. The combo does not appear in the dxdiag but the hub does and probing / detection stops there. USB 3 works differently to USB 2 at a hardware / electronics level. It claims compatibility. That’s a best case. -
Huge understeer problem with Thrustmaster TX

So you are basically saying the base is faulty if you cannot alter the DOR. I don’t know what else to make of this reply. -
I'm sticking with 1909 for the forseeable. A Feature Update (which is what 2004 is) is not about security. It is about new features. None of which that mean jack to gamers are working yet. I'm really struggling with a 1909 MCT, but I do have a created USB ISO. I may have to reach into the File History to recover the 1909 MCT.

Not 2004! I will link you a 1909 MCT.

This. We are entering audionames and TLNs for career and I've never seen them used! Frustrating when your name is in there 😉

F1 2020, no VR support on PC in 2020 = no buy.
steviejay69 replied to vulcan78's topic in General Discussion
Most Steam users have GTX1060 and a Quad-Core CPU. That's borderline for VR. A very good quad core might be OK. But hex or octa and GTX1070 you're cooking. -
It is not for the want of trying 🙂

Strange issue with escape key and gear shifters.
steviejay69 replied to Lakrits's topic in Technical Assistance
Can I just clarify you are changing gear on the T300 PS Rim shifter paddles or do you have a TH8A gearshifter or another 3rd party shifter connected? -

Can you post video of your exact issue please? -
I was unable to get HWiNFO to display any entry that is labelled EC FW or anything like it on my Gigabyte B450M H. So, it is entirely possible that the issue is only present when the Ryzen x 3xxx series CPU is installed - let's forget it. No, I have not tried 20.5.1 as there are no issues present in 20.2.2 that I currently use. According to reports the Adrenaline Enterprise Q4 2019 driver is the best performance wise. So I was going to look at that and see if there was anything tangible or any major issues.

Huge understeer problem with Thrustmaster TX

You clearly haven't read the links I've posted, there is a button sequence to press to change the DOR and it's confirmed by the wheelbase LEDs flashing. -
This bug must be exclusive to Full Qualifying or Simulation damage as I've never seen it in Short Qualifying with Full damage. Sure, the cars have a propensity to run into each other after the AI takes control but this is part of the lack of awareness of the AI it just drives the racing line. Try setting your sessions to Full damage the next time you run? Unlikely it will ever be patched in F1 2019 but there is a chance we can get this right for F1 2020.

Yes the Ryzen 3 1200 is a 3.1GHz Quad-core CPU that runs DDR4-2666, the minimum spec i3-2120 is a dual-core with HT (4 threads) that runs DDR3-1333 from 2011. You should make sure your RAM can run at 2666MHz usually by checking if it runs XMP profiles. Updating your board BIOS might unlock this capability. HTH.

Nobody will know until the final game is released.

Sorry I did not reply when you had time. You do not need to make any copies of F1! You should only use Steam Cloud and Steam Backup to save redownloading! I hope this is what you meant - often people do the strangest things. Today I am using my AMD B450 system so I should be able to look for confirmation of the EC firmware version.

Strange issue with escape key and gear shifters.
steviejay69 replied to Lakrits's topic in Technical Assistance
OK - "Hail Mary" time. If you're sure all the default controller profiles are loaded and any custom ones deleted, you've launched into the game after verifying your Steam files and deleting the hardware_settings_config.xml....go play an Unranked MP session. I had the lack of shifting off the grid issue (neutral not gear 1 selected) and this mysteriously solved it for me. (I'd say "fixed" it for me, but....connotations and everything.) -
Huge understeer problem with Thrustmaster TX
steviejay69 replied to MassiveNoogies's topic in Technical Assistance
So the wheel works great on PC? You could test with RaceRoom. Final suggestion, are you using any kind of USB hub on the XB1? And is the QR fully tightened and the screw in on the wheel (bonehead question I know, but my motto is never be surprised!)? -

steviejay69 replied to MassiveNoogies's topic in Technical Assistance
Please try the following steps (although I am at a loss as to why the wheel would not be set to 360 on the XB1 - please be aware that although the PC configuration is set to 360, this is only for PC and the console setting cannot be set via the PC driver, just the PC updater is the only route to update firmware; firmware is used in all cases). Reset the XB1 USB ports http://ts.thrustmaster.com/faqs/eng/thr_eng_00148.pdf Consider using the Constant Cooling option (loss of FFB effect may occur if fan is activated rather than constant) https://support.thrustmaster.com/en/kb/7569-en/ How to set the DOR on console http://ts.thrustmaster.com/faqs/eng/TX RW_XboxOne_Rotation Angle_2014.03.12.pdf I believe this should be set in the XB console and not in-game* Please read the notes about how to connect the wheel to the console and what not to do. http://ts.thrustmaster.com/faqs/eng/thr_eng_00147.pdf * - I have never owned an XB1 console, so this advice is all RTFM. 🙂 -
MY F1 2019 IS NOT LAUNCHING / MEU F1 2019 NÃO ESTÁ INICIANDO
steviejay69 replied to joaovbelo5's topic in Technical Assistance
Can only think it's because you're Portuguese. Try this. -
F1 2019 is a really poor game, you'd get frustrated by the bugs and there's no chance of them ever getting fixed. Might have some value for offline play, but you'd hit the same issues ultimately. I guess it's easier to swallow if you pay less than £10 (PC key) for what masquerades as a £65 title (console).

Most polluted current track is Shanghai. The worst have dropped off the calendar, Korea and India. No hint in those old games. Sandstorms can get pretty grim in Abu Dhabi and Bahrain. And everyone's been to Silverstone for the GP and it's been that grim, and raining to be fair.

Highly unlikely. 99.99% chance of No

What @BarryBL means is you probably have a save from an earlier version of the game and it's not letting you load or over-write the save game file. ESET is not required. 3rd party AV and W10 does not always easily co-exist. Windows Defender (Protected Folder Access aside) is sufficient. 'Communication to Online Services' is instigated when the game loads. If ESET is a Security Suite (not just AV but a software firewall as well) then it's own default / aggressive settings may be preventing the game from accessing the CM servers, this may be partly the reason why the save file is either not created or can't be validated. Try removing ESET with a removal tool that you will find on the vendor website. Then try playing the game.
