Thrustmaster TX racing wheel not recognized as xbox device
steviejay69 replied to exchequer's topic in Technical Assistance
Thank you for following the advice @exchequer. Can you try verifying your game files in Steam and giving it one last try? If this still doesn't work (in the light of little feedback from other TX users) I would contact the developer liaison f1beta@codemasters.com and send a link to this thread. I see little chance of this issue being addressed in the F1 2019 patch cycle, but they should be able to ensure it is correct for F1 2020. Until then, there's always this (and £shop stickers to put near the buttons); Sorry I can't help more. -
1. A description of the issue. Please include any error codes here. DBPJ-AJBT-XEMV-TGVG 2. What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen) 1.22 3. Game-mode? Any 4. Are you able to recreate the issue? If so, please include recreation steps on how you encountered this issue. Everytime the game exits. 5. How often do you see this problem? Is it the only time or does it always happen? See 4 6. Have you tried any troubleshooting? We recommend the steps here as a starting point for any issues. Please let us know what troubleshooting methods you have tried while creating this post. Not using Windows 2004 (19041.264) 7. Any accessories you are using (gamepad, wheel etc) Thrustmaster T300RS GT Edition, Acelith Rim with Magnetic shifter mod, Fanatec CSPv1 8. Any screenshots or video of the issue? If the video is long, please include a timestamp for when the issue appears. No, but you can have a crash dump. @BarryBL 614494-20200603-193313-0.zip

Windows 2004 is the problem. You need to build with 1909, sorry.

Who Are The Best Formula 1 Drivers That Never Won A World Championship?
steviejay69 replied to ObiWanMaHomie's topic in World of Motorsport
Michael Schumacher, because he cheated for 7 of them 🙂 never won a thing. In all honesty, the current pretenders are the best drivers not to win a WDC - Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen. Race winning pedigree but their time is sure to come. More the former than the latter, just in a better position right now. They've both got 'the stuff'. -
[Bug] Laptime gets wrongfully deleted.
steviejay69 replied to Bicarda's topic in Technical Assistance
Yeah I think looking at that that lap didn't even register as it was an outlap? So the lap that should be flagged would be the L2 lap only (of the second run) - I agree it's completely wrong. The 1:29.155 should have stood that was set in the first run, unless it was bettered in another? -
Intel HD Graphics 4000 from that era are not sufficient for powering the game. Also the system RAM is used (8GB max in Ideapad) and the CPU is only 1.6GHz mobile that makes it like a Pentium. I struggled with F1 2012 on a G2120 which was a 3.1GHz desktop CPU.

450.99 exhibits the same behaviour on 2004. 446.14 works on 1909 so yes I do believe it could be 2004 that is the issue. Also, it is not just F1 2019 that does this (see my signature), so that further points the finger of blame at Microsoft.

Only at HDR-Game F1 2019 (PC): No HDR or No HDR (scRGB). Why?
steviejay69 replied to Moguaii's topic in Technical Assistance
How do you connect to the screen? The Nvidia support articles say that you need to use HDMI 2.0b or DP 1.4 for RTX2070 for HDR. They also recommend titles run in fullscreen exclusive mode. There are reports that HDR is broken in some Nvidia drivers from a quick scan of forum posts (not sure how widely affected and on going). Also I don't have an HDR screen, so I can't test any suggestions. -
Corsair K83 Wireless Entertainment Keyboard - Not Work

Have you not just got a bog standard PS2 or USB keyboard anywhere? I think it's always a good idea to have one for situations like these. -

Problem with the Fanatec Formula V2 steering wheel in F1 2019
steviejay69 replied to Machtkarton3525's topic in Technical Assistance
The QSG has the mappings for each platform, not sure if this is something you haven't seen or might find useful. Try deleting any custom profiles in game and then check the default map for correct operation. As I haven't any experience of a wheelbase or wheel in the Fanatec software, not sure how much I can offer, plus the wheel would be in PC mode for the diagnostic. But you could use the PC to check for correct control operation? (I only have pedals at present). I would imagine that in-game the Fanatec shows up as one controller - try disconnecting other devices like pads (or the recently added AFAIK keyboard support). -
Problem with the Fanatec Formula V2 steering wheel in F1 2019
steviejay69 replied to Machtkarton3525's topic in Technical Assistance
Well, I would use the 334 driver from the v2 page. Beta....only go there if you have unresolved issues with the last issued driver. Not sure if you can revert firmware suggested by a beta driver. If you can wait, I will have this base by the end of the month. Stupid question: On console you MUST plug the pedals into the wheelbase. Not directly to USB. If you check the wheel mode the indicator is GREEN? -
You cannot be following the standard operating procedure for updating UEFI. FAT32 formatted USB stick. Copy only the (extracted) X470AG7W.F31 file to the root of the drive. Use QFLASH utility to update, see manual Chapter 2. DO NOT USE @BIOS FWUpdate will not work on F8. DO THE STEPS IN ORDER Repeat for F51d. No need to do FWUpdate again.

F1 2019 patch 1.20 G29 steering issue
steviejay69 replied to Herro391's topic in Technical Assistance
Try this and then post a dxdiag with the wheel plugged in. -
G27 Clutch pedal mapped as Button? no Axis allowed?
steviejay69 replied to LeonardFS's topic in Technical Assistance
So have you uninstalled 5.10 completely or just a game profile? -
Corsair K83 Wireless Entertainment Keyboard - Not Work

Okay. Please uninstall iCue with Geek Uninstaller and retest. iCue has been the issue previously for others. -
[FIXED] Sound issues between Discord sound and F1 2019 sound
steviejay69 replied to Ahsuuy's topic in Technical Assistance
Not sure you need to disable the overlays. The Windows Sound Communications tab is the culprit. -

Wheelbase? I see you are on XB1. You need to connect to a PC and update stuff. The more info you can give, the more people will be able to help. -
G27 Clutch pedal mapped as Button? no Axis allowed?
steviejay69 replied to LeonardFS's topic in Technical Assistance
Do you have either of the LGS 8.xx or 9.xx or GHub installed? Did or have you ever had any other controller for use with the game (that you've used)? Do you have Project CARS installed? If you post a dxdiag that would be helpful. -
Nvidia owners - how do you run your screen in F1 2019
steviejay69 replied to steviejay69's topic in General Discussion
To make it clear, I was using 450.99 with F1 2019 and Ego Dumper crashes were on EVERY exit of the game. Didn't try 446.14 on 2004, but it's stable on 1909. However, I don't get crashes with 445.87 either and plenty do. -
Early access is part of the 'limited edition' pizzazz. Was the same for Legends Edition, they got the Day 1 bugs first! 😉 Yes, it will unlock on the 7th. Your preload will update with the 0-day patch.

Soooo.....no video from the final round. Not here anyway 😃

It's certainly critical for the firmware updates that USB 2.0 is used (or USB 1.1) using the device in 'play' mode there may be 'bursty' data transfer rates that may have an effect but the wheel should be utilising driver APIs that are designed with current hardware specs in mind, The older DirectInput isn't really used too much, that was around the USB early spec. Now we are using XInput API that is a lot more sophisticated and can deal with different input types.
-
OK make sure also you leave the wheel connected until the PC is at least restarting. For the want of circulating 'good to know' knowledge to the broader community; All the wheels currently available do USB 1.1 data rates. USB 3.0 is *usually* highlighted with a blue (sometimes red - Mobo makers....whatcha gonna do.... ) port key. I would AVOID USB 3.x, USB-C (with or without adapters), USB hubs (passive or powered), USB 'Always On' (charging ports - usually indicated with a DC style symbol (solid line above broken line, sometimes coloured yellow port key)), front panel ports on header cables from the motherboard (often have poor soldering, questionable cable routing, sometimes flimsy in certain cheaper cases) and 3rd Party controller USB driven ports (often add-ons to boards that don't have Native USB 3.0) you may need to refer to your motherboard manual for assistance. If your PC has only USB 3.0 ports (can be signified as all port keys being black) then I suggest you again refer to the motherboard manual for a way of altering the operating mode - XHCI is the newest mode, EHCI the older more compatible type and try switching the mode to EHCI - this of course means the max data rate of the ports will then be USB 2.0 but only really fast storage like External HDDs, USB flash drives and some SD card controllers will be affected. Most of these are transitioning to PCI-E lanes anyway with newer chipsets.
-
Use a USB 2.0 port on the PC. USB 3.0 ports are EXTREMELY DIFFERENT (XHCI vs EHCI)! The latest Thrustmaster driver is here and the FW utility is in the same program group. If you are still experiencing problems, it may be worth removing the F1 Rim and reconnecting the TX Rim (with the power off). Firmware v55 is the target.
