Have you installed the LGS 5.10? -
Time trial lap didn't upload

Ah sorry. On PC, you can check whether the file exists or was updated. Didn't notice you were on PS4. Another example of #masterrace 🙂 -
Corsair K83 Wireless Entertainment Keyboard - Not Work
steviejay69 replied to Rup's topic in Technical Assistance
The K83 may need drivers (iCue) to work or update the keyboard firmware. Please be aware that other users have reported issues with the iCue lighting software conflicting with games including the F1 game. It is not a supported device - if it does not use the standard Microsoft keyboard driver then there are no guarantees. I don't see this as a CM issue - Corsair should stop making silly keyboards, IMO. -
Keep pressing the keyboard in the menus for everything. The menus will dynamically change depending on whether you navigate using wheel (numbers) or keyboard [Fn].

Time trial lap didn't upload
steviejay69 replied to Sir_Overtakesalot's topic in Technical Assistance
OK yeah that's how it should work. Can only assume the lap did not update the local file to sync with the leaderboard. FWIW you should have a local file GL0122D.GL in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\{YOURSTEAMID}\928600\remote\ghost -
Set the default sound source on the PC to what you want to hear the game through. If you use headsets with a USB dongle, try removing the dongle. The game doesn't support (pseudo) 5.1 or 7.1 well.

@ezioii and @Mike5500 can you try setting a wet lap somewhere as the leaderboards are smaller and you probably will be setting a first lap? -
[PC] G29 losing all FFB and changing keybinds randomly
steviejay69 replied to TactXO's topic in Technical Assistance
Next time you have the issue can you repair the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 runtime please and feed back? (Wild speculation). -
[PC] G29 losing all FFB and changing keybinds randomly
steviejay69 replied to TactXO's topic in Technical Assistance
The stuff on Steam is not an authoritative source of information. It's often outdated. Not claiming to be authoritative, but I'm sure I can't be worse. The linked post contains all the stuff you need to clean your drivers, please clean out any saved controller profiles by deletion. USBDeView will help to confirm you have old driver entries removed. Now I suggest using GHub as a default Logitech solution. -
Anyone wanna buy me a G29? I swear I will fix this damn issue!
-
Yeah now we just need to figure out why 🙂
-
Controllers are the issue.

Did you do the short tracks as well? Did you do valid laps at each (and them register in the leaderboard)? Did you do all the laps in DRY weather? (This isn't a stipulation, but it's what I did).

You need to check for function in the Thrustmaster Control Panel which only installs with the full driver. Whilst you do that you can check for the firmware updates with the Firmware Tool that it also installs. This is also not a bug report.

Thrustmaster TX racing wheel not recognized as xbox device

It's your wheel and your frustration, the solution is up to you. I can't help if you don't try the suggestions. -
Nvidia owners - how do you run your screen in F1 2019
steviejay69 replied to steviejay69's topic in General Discussion
Well 450.99 is crashing in W10 20H1 v2004 so it looks like another wave of ***** from Nvidia - but I raced with 446.14 tonight and it was OK, but only 13 in the lobby. Switched to OBS for a test recording to see if offloading the frames to the iGPU was worthwhile. Video quality is about the same but so is the framerate. iGPU only HD2500 whereas the i7-4790K had HD4600. -

I updated to 446.14 and it was better, but the lobby was only 16 players. I actually didn't have time to DDU. Been messing with 20H1 (2004) but restored the image back so I can play online again, May be a full lobby. -
Will F1 2020 Support the Podium Advanced Paddle Module?
steviejay69 replied to TheFBLP's topic in General Discussion
It's a free country. -
The bit in the dxdiag shows that the screens native resolution is 30Hz (p) however, the GTX1070 is showing the desktop set at 60Hz. Now you have uploaded the hardware_settings_config.xml I can see that the game has detected/set a refresh rate of 60Hz. So, discounting that I would like you to set the VSync to ON by editing the file manually (in Notepad, when the game is not running right-click and change that). save the changes. (Be sure to use the all files options when saving so notepad doesn't add ".txt" to the filename and make it ineffective.) Post back. P.S. I just read OMEN by HP in the dxdiag and got it in my mind it was a gaming laptop - I can see by the CPU and re-reading the dxdiag that it is a desktop. And looking at the HDMI spec - it could be the HDMI cable if it's only 1.4 spec it maxes out at 30Hz at that resolution. HDMI 2.0 will do 60Hz so you could be onto something there. First world problems I should be so lucky to have. 🙂

The Radeon driver is from August 2019 try 20.2.2. If you have any RGB Fusion software installed or EasyTune, please remove it. Also the motherboard is not updated. This is important on AM4. Do the steps in order. Update the motherboard drivers. Update to F31 BIOS. Update EC Firmware with tool. Update to F51d BIOS.

Yeah F1 2015 was pretty bare bones, wasn't it?
-
I don't think driver avatars were present before this gen of game. IIRC F1 2015 and up have the avatars, so I think you'd be out of luck with anything for the PS3.

Will F1 2020 Support the Podium Advanced Paddle Module?
steviejay69 replied to TheFBLP's topic in General Discussion
You are free to map your controls however you want, but are you suggesting an overtake paddle? That's how it sounds and to me it sounds wrong! -
Congratulations on your first post.

steviejay69 replied to steviejay69's topic in General Discussion
Does F1 even support SLI now? If you have the configuration, is there a way of making sure that only 1 GPU is selected? Also, Nvidia users are reporting general lower performance with 446.14 (maybe 1-3%) across MOST games.
