To be fair, this thread has what looks like a dev tag. Any update or progress @BarryBL ?

Those that use telemetry on PS4 need to post back, or CM need to test this with a basic telemetry device. https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/telemetry-application.27456/ And test it on 2019 and legacy telemetry modes. Because if that is a workaround it says that telemetry is broken.

Error Code CP7 Session no longer exists pre-race, mid-race or after podium celebration. PS4 1.22
steviejay69 replied to Sir_Overtakesalot's topic in General Discussion
Is this not linked to the PS4 multiplayer rights issue? Sounds similar. -
I suggest you DDU your driver and use 20.1.3, purely because it is the driver I still use because last I looked (yup, still is) the 20.2.2 was the recommended and had a lighting bug.

Random DRS not working and random loss of power
steviejay69 replied to alft's topic in Technical Assistance
Please post a full bug report as highlighted in the top of the forum. https://forums.codemasters.com/announcement/38-want-to-report-an-issue-have-a-bug-to-report-please-look-here-first/ The DRS closes when the brake pedal is pressed. A common fault is when the pedal potentiometer is dirty or if the controller needs recalibrating in the Control Panel. You will see this as the brake registering when you are not touching it. This would also explain the slowing you are experiencing. -
changed graphics card and now f1 2019 crashing
steviejay69 replied to CLOVERLEAF's topic in Technical Assistance
You NEED to uninstall the old ATI software from your previous card, and you NEED to update the Nvidia driver to 445.98 or revert to 442.74. As both myself and @Morsify pointed out in the first two replies.... I still recommend the BIOS update and KB4497165 (for Windows 10 1909 x64) -
Online services need an internet connection. IDK if XBL has a mode similar to old Silver on X360?

Not posting the Ego dumper text would be a start, A dxdiag is more helpful for the help you'll get here. Or maybe uninstalling Avast! (if it is indeed installed)
-
Well, this was an issue for people redeeming the Legends DLC code instead of F1 2019 initially. Did you get 1 code for Legends Edition or did you purchase F1 2019 and purchase the DLC separately?

Then your dxdiag would be appreciated. -

I can try. People that claim guesswork are just not fans of my broadbrush approach. @Alex321gg I'm guessing you have either a BT or USB dongle headset? But please, post the dxdiag as that WAS just an educated guess.... -
G29 Gas Pedal not recognized - No FFB on high speed
steviejay69 replied to Muerte1992's topic in Technical Assistance
@Muerte1992 Uninstall the Aura software. Tell me the make and model of the mainboard as the dxdiag does not have it. @neomatrix1977 Logitech recommend using G-Hub for all their peripherals. I know the older wheels like G27 and earlier require an older version of LGS (5.10). Unfortunately I don't have a G29 to test. I used to have a G920 but I have a T300 now. I stopped using the G920 before G-Hub was meant to support the wheels. Looking at logitech community, more than a few users have issues with G-Hub. LGS 9.02.65 I think is the latest LGS. Try this please. (Logitech FTP server seems to agree, who knows how long that will be around for? Logitech support search is awful.) When you have the LGS installed, check the function in the Windows Control Panel (all the buttons and pedals, paddles will map to a button). If they all work, delete the hardware_settings_config.xml and relaunch your game. Remove any redundant G29 profiles that Steam has restored. Use the default G29 profile in F1 to test all the buttons work in game, then and only then, remap just what you need to change. Save the new profile with a unique name. Play. Let me know how it goes. -
changed graphics card and now f1 2019 crashing
steviejay69 replied to CLOVERLEAF's topic in Technical Assistance
I can only try to help further if you post a dxdiag. It sounds like your system is not updated. You should be able to get things running a lot better. Technically the i5-2500K is below minimum spec. But it will be interesting to see what kind of framerates you can get out of the 1660. The board is only PCI-Ex16 v2.0 (said to make no difference initially) and the RAM will only be DDR3-1333 at best (and it's best in dual channel). -
Then there is something wrong, I can get 120FPS on High with an RX480@580

changed graphics card and now f1 2019 crashing
steviejay69 replied to CLOVERLEAF's topic in Technical Assistance
Well the dxdiag will help more, but the board is old and has had several updates to BIOS since yours. Last is here. Use the ASUS EzFlash 2 procedure as outlined in the manual (section 2.1.2). I would also consider uninstalling the Restoro program using the Geek Uninstaller. It is a nuisance program at best, possibly malware at worst. (Restoro.com is blocked by Malwarebytes Browser Guard extension as containing malware). -
Have you got automatic gears selected because with that you can manually downshift? I would toggle the assists back to automatic then try manual as well. The other thing is please post a proper bug report in TA with platform. You may benefit from firmware in the T150 Pro (the current is v11) yes, "brand new" wheels ship with old firmware.

You know, people who can post the inaccuracies in a detailed fashion are the kind of people who might be useful in the beta.
-
I think in an official game we should get the accurate track and track perimeter. Circuits evolve, they are living, breathing things. Bumps are removed, camber is changed, surfaces are altered, runoffs are adjusted, grass is grown, gravel is generally removed facilities change, stands are repositioned, etc. The advertising is another matter because fees. And the clock changes throughout the race.... OK Codies, next gen though, really!

steviejay69 replied to CLOVERLEAF's topic in Technical Assistance
Can you post a dxdiag please i3 2800K isn't a chip I've ever heard of. K suffix usually applied to i5 or i7 CPUs so it's either not K but there was never an i3 28xx or not i3 and there was no i5 or i7 2800K or otherwise. Either the chip is misdetected or overclocked, neither of which will help you troubleshoot. If the name of the board is not in the dxdiag can you please just add it in the message. -

Read the forum notices. -
I just see this as an area where developing for console holds PC back. But yes, as LAN mode is already present, it's another option. The other direction is of course that this will be perfectly feasible in hosted gameplay like Google Stadia.
-
If they can get this working as a MP feature, yeah the option of playing in MP and having your teammate in split screen, whereas others in the session would be able to choose full screen mode would be great. After all, an online session should just contain the same amount of data exchange, just requires a bit more beef on the processing side for splitscreen. Or a reduction in detail as obviously the resolution drops by half in one dimension. But it's different to processing two displays. Or, even more killer, team mate in secondary monitor?
-
All of it, probably.
-
You can bet this is something they will have decided upon internally. The idea to have a split screen mode was a resurrection of somthing they discontinued possibly because of the missed shipping of next-gen. However, they may have decided to offer it in the same vein as the F1 2013 implementation. That had AI or no AI. IDK what it was like in F1 2014, hardly played it other than straight MP. You can bet people will want this as Championship mode also.

Carnage / Destruction Derby Online Mode for F1 2020
steviejay69 replied to CarlosSantos87's topic in General Discussion
I did have a fairly respectful RANKED session with around 8 or 9 participants last night but we were all S rated. Go figure.
