I think that's what they do 🤣
-
That's assuming CM devs know how to do this 🙂
-
At least someone from Thrustmaster will look this over. 🤞
-
You know why. Trials are generally the full product with restrictions to prevent access to certain modes without hitting a 'Buy Now'. With a PC this code could be reverse engineered to get the game for free. Buy once, sell / share unlimited pirate versions.

Safety cars cause AI issues (online leagues)
steviejay69 replied to Lahime21's topic in Technical Assistance
You need to post a proper bug report with video if possible. Otherwise it is hard to recreate. Also, if you would search the forum you will see the issue of invisible walls and the issue of the parked SC DSQing drivers for illegal overtakes already being posted. -
[PC] Game is not "reading" my steering wheel properly.
steviejay69 replied to MrYety's topic in Technical Assistance
Keep searching 🙂 -
Last thing you should do to get stability is lower the settings on rigs like these. If anything, max the settings and cap the framerate at say 120FPS, whatever the screen can handle comfortably. GPU and CPU usage is through the floor.

That wheel is a 1080 degrees wheel. F1 is designed for 360 degree rotation, you have set the DOR in the TM Control Panel? Also the default rim will be a little slow as it's bigger than an F1 wheel. Set the DOR to 360 then use a little saturation (5-10) or try 330 with 0 saturation (but the wheel animation will be slightly off). Some like 270, if it gets twitchy, use a little linearity (5-10).

There is no trial version for PC. You can buy it on Steam but usual refund policy within 2 hours of gameplay if not for you.

G29 Gas Pedal not recognized - No FFB on high speed
steviejay69 replied to Muerte1992's topic in Technical Assistance
Then I would still maintain it is related to software. Other users have reported the exact same issue but resolved it by updating the software. There is no technical feedback on your PC setup. -
Well, it's your choice obviously. The game won't get more patches. The software is fairly rough and ready.
-
No, it's not related to the beta. There is an entry for Twitter, Twitch and YT. My profile is blocked at 67% complete because I don't have Twitter. It needs fixing really. The dismiss button is OK but each time you sign in the prompt comes back. Not cool. Some other metric needs putting on the field completion.

You are using unsupported hardware and EOL software. I wish you well and lots of luck in your endeavours. The driver input type simulates a pad, with all the good and bad that brings. -
Get rid of the Armoury Crate software. It is the cause of poor performance and crashes. Most RGB software is quite nasty.

You should not have to apply the registry settings everytime you play. Only thing that messes up the registry is Project CARS 2 AFAIK, do you have that installed as well? -
Yeah the Esports mode must be in the Multiplayer game that the gamers can access. There are already barriers (console players need to switch to PC - with all the hassle that that can bring). Pad users have to cope with wheels (rightly so, IMO - not getting into the pad vs wheel argument). I don't think triple screens are warranted, there is enough with the wheels and standardised equipment is best. What I mean is, and I think it's clear from my post that the career side of the game is different. The whole game being rehashed EVERY year because of the changes on the casual gameplay side is just not getting anyone anywhere. Have that game, with multiplayer, but Esports should be a separate engine, that is retained, evolved, developed and just the liveries and tracks are added in to make it current. Esports Multiplayer should have all the broadcast tools to let gamers recreate the Esports events. Commentaries, camera angles, race control, yes advertising AND dedicated servers. I don't think CM should be allowed to tweak a version of the game purely for broadcast Esports, it's not representative. It's a complex animal, because they have done just that in the Virtual Series (including changing trackside advertising for TV). I think we agree, just maybe lost in translation somewhere. But you should be able to choose the Career plus Multiplayer version of the game and the Multiplayer with Esports versions.

Only thing I take issue with in the article is that the Esports mode could standalone. I don't think it could, because how do you get into Esports or have the Esports experience? That's like having The X Factor Grand Final without the auditions. However, I am an advocate of splitting the game into multiplayer and career components. It's clear this year that CM can add nothing to the multiplayer experience so they've gone the Legends and extended Career mode into management. How they justify this without actually correcting the issues with career that exist (and I don't play that mode but I read about the issues) I find a little unpalatable. I suspect the core game is the same under the lipstick and the new tracks and liveries, so after the hype has cash splash has died, you will see the F1 2020 tracks and liveries made available for F1 2019. There is also F2 to try as well, as the assets are bought and paid for under the main game, so anything for a few bucks more. Management mode will remain the exclusive to F1 2020, until next year at least.

Remove Avast! AV (or at least try Gaming Mode). Update Windows 10 1809 it's outdated 12th May. Nothing to lose by updating to 442.74 before you update W10. If you don't update older drivers, newer Windows 10 will install basic drivers over your exisiting install an this is known to cause issues. There is a BIOS upgrade to R01-A4 Audio drivers are very old. Acer support is not very great either (I speak from experience, ASUS and Acer not worth a hoot. MSI and Gigabyte are better, the rest I have no real strong opinion on.) But even they have a newer 2017 driver. If W10 updates these and it tells you this one is older, stick with the W10 one.

solved [Teredo?] Problem with joining to online session.
steviejay69 replied to dembekPL's topic in Technical Assistance
So basically, you have enabled Teredo as your ISP uses IPv6! As I said previously the solution will vary for people depending on their ISP and equipment. Thanks for posting your resolution. -
To balance out the ridiculous troubleshoot comment earlier, yes I believe upgrading to Windows 10 will solve your issue, whatever it is. You can always go back, system recovery within 7 days or just reinstall with your 7 key after that. Staying on 7 has to be for a reason, just refusing to upgrade thinking you know all about Windows 10 being the root of all evil then well, there's a word for people like that. Also same advice applies for Windows 8, same upgrade path, JFDI. You will NEED W10 for F1 2020, just saying. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1080110/F1_2020

PS4 Corrupted save data ( luckily it resolved itself )
steviejay69 replied to Sir_Overtakesalot's topic in Technical Assistance
Don't know, not much you can do. The PS4 storage isn't backed up. If there is a hardware failure, you lose data. Causes of data loss can be manifold (bug, loss of power, loss of sync, hardware, system). You might have to rebuild storage or replace hardware and redownload what you can. Some stuff is saved in Online Services. Like competition points, rank, etc. linked to your PSN account. DLC is stored in your PSN account. Game saves, setups and hotlaps are local. Saved stuff is synced to cloud depending on your PSN account. If it's a Plus account then you can enable cloud save. It's pretty much the same as on PC. Some stuff is on CM Online Services, some data is stored locally and it can be synced to Steam cloud. You can take local backups of content, but all your purchases are in Steam. Don't apologise for writing an essay. Apologise for not posting it in the designated format 🙂 The data recovery process can vary by title, some games you can copy an old save back, sometimes you can recover from the last cloud save. Some data can't simply be recovered depending on the level or type of corruption. F1 2019 uses an autosave function, either local or cloudy or a combination (depending on platform and account mechanics). Be glad you got it back, some instances you aren't so lucky. 👍 -
Aww I didn't know you were doing Wednesday I was working.

solved F1 2019 doesn't launch at all
steviejay69 replied to manutd1972's topic in Technical Assistance
He should tag me if he does post. IDK, I need to play the game more. Less support, more play. I reckon support for this title needs to scale down from me. I'd like to keep myself open for other options. I'll support people I've started with, but this is a tailgating post. And also if they follow the posting guidelines I'd be more inclined to assist.
