The downloaded file was not installed to the system properly. It is likely that the data has been corrupted during the download process.

Then you will probably need suggestions from a PS4 owner 🙂 But Google general storage and housekeeping tips? -

I assume you sorted it. You can edit the thread title to included [CLOSED] but it would be great if you could say how you overcame the issue. -
solved F1 2019 doesn't launch at all
steviejay69 replied to manutd1972's topic in Technical Assistance
If you're interested, I have a primary 512GB SSD that holds my games and files. A 750GB SSHD drive is used to hold installers, images and Steam backups, plus File History (when I'm bothered). I have a 2GB 7200 HDD drive to dump videos on that I haven't yet uploaded or decided if I'm going to. Once they're on YT, I delete them but then they don't take up space on the primary (where I record to because it's fastest). -
solved F1 2019 doesn't launch at all

No. Your Windows license is for one PC, perhaps even more restrictive if the license is OEM, which means it stays on the one PC. If you bought a retail license then it can be transferred to another PC but must only be activated on one machine at a time. The digital license derived from the key would be invalidated on a second machine if OEM or on the older machine if activated and current on another if retail. You can upgrade an OEM PC but activation will be prohibited once significant changes to the hardware determine the machine is different. The hashes used to make the digital license are derived from the Product Key SKU, the hardware ID of the computer and a third hash derived from the other two at the point of activation (and subsequent reactivation). Backup, yes, ideally you will have sufficient capacity on a backup drive to contain an image of your system drive plus shadow copies of the data on your data drives. So, inevitably having a larger backup drive is likely to serve you better than one of an equal capacity or less, depending on the frequency of images (whether full, incremental or differential) plus the number of active copies of the data. Partition backups are subject to total loss, unless you have two physical drives then your backups will not survive a hardware failure. At least a portion of a secondary drive should be dedicated to backup, but then also any additional data on that drive should be backed up elsewhere. You can restore a corrupt installation or reinstall a partition without deleting the entire drive contents. You can use cloud to back up, you effectively could argue you can recover the Windows environment from a USB stick , provided it's created from the working machine if its created before the machine fails. The flash back issue is likely to be a mapping conflict although it has to be said this was an observed bug in this and previous versions of the game. Searching the forum may reveal more accurate information. -
The steps you need to take are in the main troubleshooting thread - in For Dummies steps. I need a dxdiag.txt and a copy of your hardware_settings_config.xml file.

D3D device removed. If you have a factory overclock on your GPU, remove it. If you are not overclocking, turn VSYNC ON and cap the framerates. -

[F1 2019] [XBOX] Telemetry not working
steviejay69 replied to lauchal's topic in Technical Assistance
If the phone IP is in the scope then set the phone IP to auto and use the router to reserve the IP. Then the phone is inside the routing table. Some routers can be buggy or the lease expires, is reused and then you get an IP conflict, especially with small lease pools and short leases, many different devices connecting, etc. -

Restart your router and PC. -
It will be the same exact game with the exact same bugs plus some new ones in the new modes.

[F1 2019] [XBOX] Telemetry not working
steviejay69 replied to lauchal's topic in Technical Assistance
This is why I recommend setting the phone IP to reserved on the router and leaving the phone set to Auto. You only use broadcast when you are using more than one telemetry device. Is the static address within the router DHCP scope? -

Check your phone's IP is reserved (static). Otherwise you will be forever changing the settings in game. -
F1 2019 - Brake Input Display - unplayable
steviejay69 replied to YngwieReid's topic in Technical Assistance
Restart the PC. Look in your Fanatec properties and observe the correct pedal travel. Start the game, go to your pedals control scheme and remap the (clutch) brake and throttle by depressing fully and releasing. I only have Fanatec pedals direct via USB, not via a wheelbase as I have the T300, so your pedal mappings might be under your Fanatec wheelbase (if you're connecting to pedals via RJ12). Then save and play. -
@Gianchy74 I have loaded the Weekly Event mode (for the first time ever). I have used the custom settings displayed in all other modes. However, in normal gameplay I use Manual ERS. This is one setting NOT carried through from other game modes, you can see the ERS is Automatic. It is a list I am working on of all the game settings that are reset or not, carried through or not between modes. This may explain that whilst you thought manual ERS was set, it is not carried to Weekly Event (at least the first time).

@HotKitty the answer is in GD. Make sure the Driving Force Shifter is in Neutral. -
Post your settings so they can be replicated.

solved [F1 2019 PC Steam] Menu bug + crash
steviejay69 replied to RAFAGF's topic in Technical Assistance
Other basic stuff like verifying the Steam files? Have you tried removing and reinserting the HDMI cable at both ends (bear with me, but it's a simple check)? Can you connect to another display like a TV? Can you delete the hardware_settings_config.xml before starting the game? -
Have you updated the wheel firmware, T300 should be v31? (Done on a PC with the wheel in PS3 mode, all the drivers and instructions are on the Thrustmaster website). If you have and still have the issue, I would delete the custom control scheme and remap the original default profile then save it as custom. It will warn you if you try to map a control that would then be a conflict. So, if there is a conflict, either unbind the existing control using the same key or use another key.

Not saving time trial times f1 2019 [ZX]
steviejay69 replied to Iburrows84's topic in Technical Assistance
Not really. It's been noted though, hopefully fixed in the next game. -
I would also recommend uploading your hardware_settings_config.xml I think it needs editing because it sounds like the screen is going out of range.

dxdiag still shows 445.75 The HP Prodesk 400 has many variants, can you please specify which one? Better still if you go to hp.com, click the support link and let HP detect your machine. There are recent BIOS updates. I'd advise applying the correct one (once detected). Also this is the second PC that I've seen with issues that has a KIngston A400 SSD. Not sure if that's significant yet.

solved [PC] [Audio] [F1 2019] No speech in game
steviejay69 replied to Blackerat's topic in Technical Assistance
We're troubleshooting, you're running a diagnostic. A dxdiag takes 30 seconds including uploading, probably less time than it took you to type the reply. -
@DANTHA thanks for posting the solution you found, it's valuable!
