  1. I agree, but this means the reconnect option must be discontinued. It is not helpful to online, as is the ghosting that destroys immersion.
  2. Get them to change the symbols on the reactions to something more meaningful. Thanks 👏 agree ✔️ disagree ❌ like 👍 and sad needs to be....well, sadder ☹️ Enthusiasm is a great quality, but there is only so much milk in that cow. 🐄
  3. I don't think it is related to the wheel or there would be 00s of posts. Tips: Use a USB 2.0 port on your motherboard - directly. There are plenty of 3rd party USB 3.0 chips out there, with varying levels of driver integrity. Usually, USB 3.0 ports are coloured blue, if they're all black, then they might all be USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 the motherboard manual will explain. If you can, please eliminate; long USB extensions (conversely these work well for dongles to get them away from the PC) powered or unpowered USB hubs front panel USB connectors (frequently unshielded, long and sometimes miswired or poorly soldered) and also try; repositioning USB RF dongles or USB WiFi adapters (known to create lots of EMI noise in USB 3.0 ports, see ^^) Finally, the AC adapter for the wheel can be replaced for around £10-£15 (use the 3A variant, the wheel will only draw what it needs, but they can often be out of spec)
  4. In the pop-up there should be a link to KI and it should be updated....
  5. Cat 7 is overkill. When you say you've tried other cables, have you tried Cat 6a? Sounds like all your other steps are logical. You say it's a league race, have you tried a different host? Do others disconnect? Do you have any switches or Homeplug links in the network path? Are you using FTTP or FTTC or Cable? Are you using a mobile ISP or tethering? Are you using an old-style (ADSL Max) connection? Do you have a lot of concurrent use of the router?
  6. There is no conflict with the Steam overlay. The KNOWN ISSUES should be updated @BarryBL Post a dxdiag

    Save file

If you use W10 File History you could include the Steam folders and restore anything. In fact, it's probably more useful than trusting it to Steam cloud.
  8. How about a pop up before people post to say HAVE YOU READ THE KNOWN ISSUES BEFORE POSTING? 😎
  9. Are you not merging threads then? That also sounds inefficient. Or was the appeal just the 'cool' badge? 🤣
  10. Fine, it's your workload. You obviously like repetition. But think about if you were more efficient, you might actually be able to prioritise and focus on the issues. But I guess the answer lies in the £ they don't pay you and the £ they won't pay to have a forum that supports the features and tracking you need. So you've been set up to fail, like those before you and they'll just replace you with other eager souls. Enthuisiasm is free, while it lasts.
  11. Yeah, but if it was there (and UPDATED) it would be the one stop shop for people BEFORE posting a thread. If anyone posts something covered the mods DELETE the thread and refer the user to the known issues (KI). The tracking codes added by CM to the bug threads were a step in the right direction but a formal ticketing system should be in place, only closed by resolution or 'not addressed in this game cycle' when they are absolutely sure it's not going to get fixed then it gets added to KI. If people can't provide the in-game codes, proper platform info, then they get ignored / shunted to a dump or archive thread. Firm, but fair. Tech assistance where it's provided on a user to user basis can then be separate from the ticketing system. *****, you can have this MO for free, JFDI already....
  12. I did get a game minimized from fullscreen (lost focus) during the first benchmark run on Adrenaline 2020 (19.12.2) posted elsewhere. As my post above, very rudimentary testing revealed it wasn't 1.18.2 that caused this but the driver update itself. I went DDU to remove the old 19.9.2 driver without trying in-place upgrade and it failed in the first attempt. I used the AMD Registry Cleaner to 'fix' the installation and the driver installed the second time, but it was after that the game minimization occurred. (I was probably using quite an old DDU (18.0.2.0), I will rewind the system and try again with an in-place.) Update: With the in-place, everything was fine. BM same, no installer issues (Dec 12 release of 19.12.2 there was a Dec 10), no game issues.

    Starting Grid Pictures Bug

What's wrong with this picture? Driver transfers are active.... ....CM I suggest you start looking there for the issue. Congratulations on another fully bug-tested, well implemented feature that breaks core game functionality!

    F1 2018 Crash to Desktop

I'm going to say your soundcard driver is not WHQL. It is updated. Have you onboard sound you could enable to eliminate the ASUS Xonar DG? (There appears to be a High Definition Audio device in the dxdiag but I'm unsure as to what it is.) You have either Media Player Classic and/or the K-Lite Codec pack installed, remove it with Geek Uninstaller. If you think you need it for video, you don't, use VLC Player. The motherboard is not identifiable from the dxdiag, can you let me know what it is please? The CPU is quite old now and the graphics card a bit on the skimpy side (sorry, it just is) but this should meet minimum spec easily, you might need to turn down the settings to Medium or Low to get a good framerate (looks like from the hardware_settings_config.xml that you may have already done that). Mainly I think the sound card is the culprit.
  15. I loaded up AUS benchmark then BAH benchmark, no crashes, no noticeable frame drops so it hasn't broken anything for me AFAIK. Not a scientific test, but it's all I can be arsed to do.
  16. There is another issue with the other board that I've PMed about. In previous fixes, I would recommend removing iCue and I never used G_HUB with Logitech peripherals I owned so I have no direct ability to test (I always used updated LGS and I use SetPoint to update my keyboard and then uninstall it). However, the software is providing a cooling function on your board and you advise it can't be removed. My initial advice was to remove it. Only CM know if there is any progress being made on this, there are no accurate patch notes and the decision to roll out what they are calling a hotfix as a mandated patch is a very poor one. There was the beta branch option available so if they had chosen that, you could both provide direct feedback as to whether the 1.18.1 patch is the cause of your issue. Due to their typical communications issues, I'm afraid I'm all you have and I'm not affiliated to CM in any way, but I do have a track record of solving issues on the forum for more than a few users.

    RSB and LSB not working

    JFGI
  18. Usual recommendations, verify game files via Steam. Then, if you have the stomach (and depending on fast internet or fast storage) either uninstall the game and restore from backup or redownload. This has the effect of redoing the first run executables. I recommend a restart after uninstallation, then after first run (DX12) set any preferences in-game, quit without gameplay and restart. Then play DX12.
  19. The Multiplayer sessions are P2P. Of course there are dedicated servers for Events and how do you think the bug tracker is working? CM can see how much you play the game online, you are the product. 'Online services will be down for maintenance' messages are posted on this forum frequently. Honestly?
  20. So it just crashes to desktop or locking up?
  21. DCH drivers, 1903/1909, DX12 only way to play 🙂

    F1 2019 Worth £22?

If you want a measure of how good this game is....I have spent more time on it than F1 2015 (which somehow managed 70 odd hours). All the other titles are going to beat it by the time the year is out. All the others have scored 250-400 hours, this won't make 200 (I'm being generous) at the current rate.
  23. OK so you must have a Corsair WC block then? I agree with you, if it's not been updated lately it's unlikely to be an issue. All this is just making sure it really is the patch causing the issue and seeing as there are not really any useful patch notes....
