Multiplayer - "Kicked for Cheating" - Steps to Take
steviejay69 replied to SSerpant's topic in Technical Assistance
You will as Steam will withdraw W7 support. You can see that you will have to run something and that problems are not exclusive to W10. There is only forward. -
ALT-TAB when it doesn't work? (Look I know it's pants, but these things work sometimes.)

Set your default sound source in Windows. Set the same sound source in game. Check mixer settings, incl. mic boost and level. Reload Microsoft Kinect for Windows language runtimes. Set Sound|Communication preferences to 'Do nothing'.

[PC][Audio] F1 2019 Audio Stuttering [ZX]
steviejay69 replied to awt's topic in Technical Assistance
Well, I could do with a look at that dxdiag to be sure updating the LAN because the Intel LAN chip varies from board to board. There is only one uCode update (for Haswell/Xeon 306c3 to 0x27), there is an updated GOP driver and the ME is only a minor increment from 9.0.30.xxxx to 9.0.31.3488 -

Also another point is the Gigabyte Utilities like On/Off charge and EasyTune have caused issues previously. I would remove them. -
[PC][Audio] F1 2019 Audio Stuttering [ZX]

You can email Gigabyte directly and they will update the BIOS for you. Or I could do it, the board version is either 1.0, 1.1 (1.x) and it lacks SP-DIF in and has a TI chip onboard that the 1.2 does and doesn't have respectively), the F9 BIOS is probably the same but if you confirm the board version I will mod the BIOS and send you via PM. Things that can be updated are CPU microcode, Intel VBIOS/GOP driver, Network boot OROM (and/or EFI module) and SATA/RST controller EFI. I can probably also send you files to mod the ME because it's best done in situ. Plus it only really needs doing if it fails this test (is vulnerable). -

You can also DDU your audio drivers. The majority of audio devices are Realtek and they are transitioning from HDA to UAD driver model. My desktop likes the UAD driver, my laptop hates them (no speaker audio, but then it has a hardware speaker fault so wonder if this is why. The R audio channel is missing on the motherboard, I've swapped out the speaker and had the BIOS edited by professionals) -

@awt @BiohazardBGR @artworx DDU your Graphics Driver and update to 431.36 Delete your hardware_settings_config.xml and relaunch. If any of you want your audio drivers and BIOS updating, post a dxdiag here or PM me and I will help you out. Try DX11 if DX12 is problematic. -
f1 2019 F1 2019 - Level 50 trophy/achievement glitched [SG]

Yeah but judging by the way the First Ten down achievement unlocked, you need to come at this one a bit differently. -

That looks right to me in DX11, but DX12 needs fixing not to look ****. And the lights need to be off in daylight š -
The AA options in F1 have been a community bugbear for some time. Hopefully AMD CAS (Contrast Adaptive Sharpening) may be helpful if it is correctly implemented and people use updated drivers. I believe CM are working on this - given the names of one of the F1 2019 Depots in the Steam DB.

Not an exact truth on PC @David Greco unfortunately. Not everyone has the same hardware apart from the wheel, before you introduce potential software conflicts, driver & OS versioning, etc.
-
This is normally a dirty potentiometer. Basically you need to defluff your pedals and use a bit of electrical contact cleaner on them. Plenty of YT videos doing pedalset teardowns. You can verify it by looking at the readings in the LGS or possibly the Control Panel properties (sorry, been T300 a while; T300 lets G-pedals do 10-bit res instead of 8-bit and you can see the 'jumpiness' in the Thrustmaster CP). All you need is a posi-drive screwdriver and a little patience. If the pots are clean, then look at the mapped keyboard key for 'Brake' or if you have a controller connected (PS4/XB/Joypad) check the mapped button or trigger accordingly.
-
Verify your game files on Steam and try deleting your hardware_settings_config.xml C:\Users\{Username}\Documents\My Games\F1 2019\hardwaresettings

You should only use the wheel in PS3 mode on PC. Install the latest LGS and reboot. Uninstall using Geek Uninstaller, reboot. Install LGS again, connect wheel as prompted and then restart, try game.

Maybe the connector wasn't mated properly. Glad it's resolved for you (and for me as I've just picked up an Open Wheel). -

Did you change the mode switch from PS4 to PS3 when updating? And did you change it back to PS4 before connecting to the PS4? I believe you should only switch the mode switch when the wheel is disconnected from power (the USB is enough as it disables the mains adapter until it's plugged in). -
I'm just going to add this. Been playing this game since it's inception in 2010. There is little point railing about the injustices. Either bring constructive criticism or don't moan. Actually vote with your wallet and don't buy the game if you don't like to, you're not over a barrel. I came to this conclusion after getting a bit fed up with it myself. It has only ever been worth it to play in multiplayer for me and there have been years (2012, 2013 & 2015) where the game has been broken beyond all usefulness and I've still battled on. At least 2013 was mostly fixed online. 2016, 2017 and 2018 have all seen incremental improvements without really fixing the fundamentals. 2019 is likely the same. I have preordered because I'd rather race and fortunately F1 still attacts enough numbers to give me opponents I can at least compete with. Racing AI is boring, but it looks like they've tried with the story a bit. I'm glad F2 is included and I'm glad we are promised the update to F2 2019 and we will be able to use it in multiplayer. Hopefully it is fixed by Christmas. If there are race weekend scenario events to participate in, it's good for a bit of fun. I don't expect a working game out of the box. I don't expect the safety car to ever work properly. Cut detection will be poor but not as bad as the penalty system. I'm hopeful they've improved the netcode, which looks possible. If the ranked lobbies are improved, this would also be a bonus. Career mode....well you'll probably get corrupt saves if you start before next Easter. I don't care. I also hope that there is no regression with old bugs coming back and that the setups are at least a little bit more realistic. This is the reality. I will be in a social race on Friday evening, I have no doubt. It may well be chaos!

PETITION: OFFICIAL TV GRAPHICS FOR F1 2019
steviejay69 replied to AllenB2609's topic in General Discussion
Amen to that! The 'new' graphics don't convey sufficient or accurate information most of the time, they are absymal. Just like the fake beeps over the start lights, the annoying stopwatch noise in the pitstops, etc. Don't get me started on the 'themes' during the formation lap and at the finish. You can keep your Yank razzmatazz, Liberty. Not required. -
Forums is already incorrectly plural. This is a forum.

F1 2019 (PS4) Online Lobby Problems Error HP557.3686

Help yourself by giving a bit more information about platform or spec if PC. -
Kind of disappointed to lose bookmarked threads and watchlists.

In the profile options for platform there's an option for PC/Stream Needs changing to Steam Wouldn't be a Codies product without errors š¤£
