  1. I will say that the text on Steam has been edited as it originally said i3-4130, whether that was a typo or whatever but Codemasters give a minimum spec but don't say why they are minimum spec.

You can show the properties of any CPU with many hardware utilities. You can also write code with your CPU microcode fixed or unfixed, with compilers up to date or not. I am not a programmer, but I would be sure to work with updated tools and equipment.

You tested it in which game mode?

Because Time trial doens't have problems for me

My Team has a lot problems

Championship - Classic race has some problems

TT, Grand Prix, My Team all work. Stopped testing after that.

Well so u think that we r writing in this thread for fun? I reinstalled drivers yesterday and made a few flashbacks that works I thought that problem is solved. Unfortunately today after 2nd flashback in Career Mode I get crash again now I cannot access save because cannot race after I want to join mid session. My PC spec is: i5-8500 CPU with 3GHz on 6 cpu's 16GB RAM with RX580 graphic with 8171 VRAM on board. Tell me now that my PC is too low to meet the spec. I have perfect experience during the race on maximum quality. And before 1.06 patch EVERYTHING was fine. So it is not my hardware problem it is some bug in the code. I am programmer myself doing Web Dev so I know that one line is able to **** everything up. Also u r just a tester u don't have the source code to look into so please if ppl are saying there is an issue don't tell them that everything is fine cause it actually isn't. No hard feelings tho I just don't like to be treated like intellectually disabled.

I think you're looking in the wrong place. Flashback isn't faulty, your game save or installation is at fault.

I wouldn't hire you if you can't accept that. I didn't say your machine is out of spec, merely proved that you too are looking in the wrong place.

I'll try to ignore your irrelevant point about manual gears (been driving them for 19 years) as no road car has a pit limiter... And focus on ;if I had a car that had a feature that stopped it going over a certain speed and it went over that speed when the feature was on, that is a bug unless codies are going to come in here and say it's an anti stall feature for 2020 (it didn't do it last year). Gear should make no difference to this feature, as it is based on a control by wire closed loop feedback system (read basic digital control laws). I think the game has a minor issue but let's wait for the devs to input rather than throw in mostly uneducated and unproductive comments.

You can't drive a F1 car in 3rd gear at 50 or 80kph. Those that say anti-stall would kick in are almost certainly correct.

Strange that yesterday @BarryBL didn't tell me nothing about the cpu specifications...Maybe because they are supported? Anyway, I wrote a big thanks to him for his help during all the day.

Instead...Your help: "I will ignore further responses because you do not like the truth in what I say. Your problem."

Class is not water. Bye bye

Flashback mode tested on RX580, works perfectly. Ryzen 7 2700, 16GB RAM, Fanatec CSL Elite.

Here it is @BarryBL. By the way my pc runs the game on high and ultra high at 60 fps so I don't think is a system requirement problem 🙂

    DxDiag.txt

The Vega 8 is rated equivalent to 940MX/MX150, it is an integrated graphics solution. I recommend turning the graphics down to Ultra Low or Low.

The one thing that stopped me getting a Ryzen mobile is the initial CPUs had very poor power management and heat issues. Pretty much what plagued the equivalent Intel era (Kaby Lake R/Coffee Lake).

Check your thermal solutions, I almost always strip back the heatsinks and apply known good TIM.

Oh and as a side note the benchmark mode is flawed. It doesn't put you in the same car, this is problem as some cars halos are matte and others are very reflective. I thought a benchmark was supposed to be the same exact each time...so it can be compared

    It's not flawed, it's "by design". :classic_rolleyes:

The Documents folder is read-only to programs due to Protected Folder Access in Windows Security, you can turn it off in the settings.

Wrong forum section. Unsupported graphics card, it's like a GT510/GT610. It's a workstation graphics card, not a gaming card.

There's actually a ton of air traffic during real races, at least multiple helicopters at any point.
The airliners don't always make the most realistic sense for the locations and timing but I haven't found them to be that often in game to be annoyed by them

I find them extremely distracting and unnecessary. Having said that I did go up in a helicopter during FP3 at Silverstone in 2011.

I am running 451.67 and the game is a mess. Can barely get to the main menu most of the time before I get an EGO dump. I haven't tried any modes other than my team currently as I've only recently purchased the game after moving from 2018. It's becoming a joke really the amount of times I've seen that damn ego dumper.

    I have a I7 8700k, RTX 2080TI, 32GB 3200 RAM, NVME SSD, Windows 10 1909, GPU driver 451.67

I've tried all sorts. Disabling steam overlay, windowed mode, changing a few settings in Nvidia control panel, disabling my OC, FPS cap. I may have to try reverting GPU driver if you think that might help? What I refuse to do though is lower graphics settings. What kind of BS is that if codemasters can't even produce a game that won't run optimally at high settings when charging full price. I never had one issue with 2018 whatsoever, I wonder what changed from 2019 & 2020. Equally the same is true if the issue relates to Nvidia.

You'll be eagerly awaiting 1.07 then. Patch incoming.

Can you add a DXDiag please @WarningMan. Have you also tried putting 'F1 2020' into the website https://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/ to test if it will run.

That site does NOT give the minimum specification that is on Steam. The inserted below is the Steam text for F1 2020*.

    Quote

    SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

    MINIMUM:

Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system

    OS: 64 bit Windows 10

    Processor: Intel Core i3 2130 / AMD FX 4300

    Memory: 8 GB RAM

Graphics: NVIDIA GT 640 / AMD HD 7750 (DirectX11 Graphics Card)

    Storage: 80 GB available space

    Sound Card: DirectX Compatible

Additional Notes: Dual Layer Compatible DVD-ROM Drive

    RECOMMENDED:

Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system

    OS: 64 bit Windows 10

    Processor: Intel Core i5 9600K / AMD Ryzen 5 2600X

    Memory: 16 GB RAM

Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti / AMD RX 590 (DirectX12 Graphics Card)

    Storage: 80 GB available space

    Sound Card: DirectX Compatible

Additional Notes: Dual Layer Compatible DVD-ROM Drive

    I'd also argue it's incorrect, you don't need a DVD-ROM if you're downloading from Steam so it's a copy 'n' paste.

    * Plus, you've changed it as it was i3-4130 as well....

I don't see it as a bug though? It may be down to having certain settings on the wheel properties (like spring etc.) as I don't use the steering assist it doesn't worry me and without someone else having the issue and it being an issue for them I don't think I need to report it...

Maybe if the OP should do a bug report as what they describe sounds exactly like I was seeing when I had that assist turned on (for no other reason than troubleshooting something unrelated).

I can't force you to do it but if you can prove a correlation between enabling the assist and the wheel losing centering then it's not supposed to happen otherwise you wouldn't have thought it was worth mentioning.

I came across a similar issue when I was messing around trying to get something else sorted and had the steering assist turned on - was always off previously - I found that with the assist on if you were not following closely enough the turn of the corners then the wheel would go 'out of normal align' when then going down a straight. It would seem that the steering assist adds an offset to the steering that you didn't make and this sticks after the corner - does not happen with steering assist off.

    Thrustmaster FFB TX wheel.

You should post that as a full bug report or it won't get looked at.

Thanks for your suggestion, I also uninstalled the AV and made a Network reset. The problems sadly still remain the same.

I rellay somehow starting to think, that is has something to do with my internet service provider. It just is so strange, that it just happends with this years game.

I think it is ISP related. I think we had a case or two in either 19 or beta that were the same. Can't remember the instances and previous posts aren't searchable with any kind of reliability.

I can't forget how much I was happy to see them when they released this video and how sad I became when found that we still don't have them in the game!

I honestly can't understand how these things can happen.

In REAL LIFE they are there, the whole world can see, even being a CAR event. Children, adults, no matter. In gaming industry, we have war games, violent games, children kill and fire everything, but we can't have a beer name here.

It's because they go for PEGI 3 rating, suitable for all. They've kept it (the 3 rating) since podiums and in-game purchases this year. Most racing games are. There is no violence, no fear (hmmm, maybe F1 is too safe....)

Alcohol is a drug, the podium scenes are in with unbranded bottles of non-specific liquid.

Not sure how they reckon it keeps a 3 with in-game purchases like Pitcoin. Wonder if it was a rubber stamp?

    • Agree 1

  15. It does go further to confirm that GHub is the only supported software for the G923. Hopefully now Codemasters design the game using the correct software....

At least XBox now gets flashy LEDs 🙂

Oddly the Dual Clutch is not unsupported on XB1 F1 2019 unless there's an error in the graphic. And no Trueforce for anyone yet in F1 2020.

Thanks Stevie, will try this out this evening. Where is that hardware_settings_config.xml file located? I tried to find it yesterday as I saw it mentioned elsewhere but couldn't find it.

To clear up a few loose ends, I have downloaded the drivers from HP this afternoon so Elan Touchpad is on 22.2.18.2 and Bluetooth drivers are Realtek RTL8xxx Bluetooth Driver 1.8.1027.3000 and Intel Bluetooth Driver 21.80.3. I am using the USB port on the left hand side (which doesn't have the charging symbol, so I assume this is USB 3.0) and I don't have any USB hubs. Will try your ghub suggestion for the uninstall and never used LGS software as it was superseeded by Ghub before I started using the wheel.

The file is located in C:\Users\[YOURUSERNAME]\Documents\My Games\F1 2020\hardware_settings

    1. The settings for wheel rotation, spring centering etc that are set in Logitech Ghub for the Logitech G29 are "forgotten" by the game when quitting to the main menu, restarting a session, switching game modes etc. The only way that I can get the settings to work is if I quit Ghub and launch it again just before I leave the garage or start the race. I only have one Ghub profile which I set at 360 deg rotation. When the issue occurs, it reverts to 900 rotation. I don't have any profile with 900 deg rotation for my wheel as the default profile I use is the persistant profile

    2. PC

    3. 1.06 (Latest version of the game available on Steam on 4/8, although was present in earlier versions)

    4. All modes

    5. I have been able to replicate the issue at will. For example, if I am on the grid at the beginning of the race, I can quit Ghub and then launch again, and the Ghub settings (my settings are 360 deg rotation, 66 sensitivity, 10 spring centring, I have this for default and persistant profile for all games) will be reflected in the game. If I quit to the main menu, move onto the next race, or restart the session, the setting will revert back to the original ghub settings (which isn't my profile) ie. 900 deg rotation. I have not had one case where the game keeps my 360 deg settings between game modes

    6. Have reinstalled logitech g-hub but could easily replicate the issue by methods mentioned above. I have also tried creating a profile specific for the game but the same issue occurs

    7. N/A

    8. See attached

Also noticed something this evening which may be a coincidence. I put my laptop to the TV via HDMI. When the wheel is giving me the force feedback I require, there is a small microstutter, not enough to prevent me from getting in decent lap times (for my level) but noticeable. Sometimes, this microstutter stops and the image is really smooth (like it would be for a ps4), but the handling immediately becomes harder, having to put much more wheel lock in to get round a corner. I had this about 5 times during a race I did this evening in My team and without fail would struggle massively the moment I get a good smooth image. I'm wondering if it could mean that the computer isn't providing the signal to the G29 or vice versa but only speculating.

    DxDiag.txt

Try verifying the Steam files, deleting the hardware_settings_config.xml and relaunching.

I had a 'fail' to launch error in-game which was only solved by reinstalling the Fanatec Driver, so maybe as you do this use Geek uninstall to remove GHub (if you had LGS, install and then uninstall with Geek?). Pretty much in my case the update to 1.05 and 1.06 altered the DOR to 900 when the wheel was Auto. I could reset that, but it was annoying (I'm now awaiting the next patch to see if a wheel tune is affected in any way.)

Your machine is pretty much updated, just a query on the Elan Touchpad and unsure of which Bluetooth driver you have

There's an ATI crash in the dxdiag, you could try DDU (drivers seem correct 20.5.1 and 446.14).

Other than that and checking which port you use the G29 in; the port on the left side may be USB 2.0 (referred to as sleep and charge port) but the port on the right next to the USB C is USB 3.0, and eliminate any USB hubs (passive or powered) for troubleshooting purposes.

Good luck. You could file a report on Logitech support if you really want to see what no useful help looks like!

    Old = yes

    Unsupported = no

    VM = no

    So...it's not the problem!

The problem is inside the "Ambient Occlusion" setting, because if I try to change it from ASSAO to HBAO+ or YES, the game crashes immediately. So, for now, I am ok with setting "YES" and others settings in "High" or "Very high". The problem is graphical, non CPU

It is outside the recommended minimum specification. You should not expect support (although you would be grateful to get it) no one is under any obligation to provide it.

I wish you luck, but please do not expect the solution. And please do not buy games where you do not meet the minimum specification.

I will ignore further responses because you do not like the truth in what I say. Your problem.
