Windows may well be the issue.
if hardware is updated and checks out with diagnostics then software is the only resolution.
it is often faster to image your current setup and then reinstall Windows to see. But if the problem persists then it is likely to be an individual issue.
Otherwise the forum would be lit with identical reports.

I can get you a game session code in a few minutes. I'm just in a remote session on the other desktop.👍

No, updates are on auto. I don't have any email either about performance stats update.

Just now, BarryBL said:Hmm, you're not the first here. 1.14 should automatically push the game towards an auto update. You don't use Steam right @steviejay69 or I am being forgetful?
Yes, but I don't use Steam cloud and I got a message that it was updating Steam cloud which is unusual as it's turned off.

Mine won't download 1.14 was the patch a foul up?

It's in the Documents\My Games\F1 2020\hardware_settings folder

Also try update windows to 19041.685
-
You have a mismatched pair of screens. Choose one as the primary display, disconnect the other and delete the hardware_settings_config.xml then try the game again.
-
Disconnect the Wacom tablet.
Please also remove the audio dongle from the G430 headset and plug into the audio jacks of the sound card.
Delete the hardware_settings_config.xml and re-launch the game.

Post a dxdiag because this sounds like a bad USB driver causing system latency.
Plus, run in DX12! DX11 is dead.
-
The problem here is probably excessive tuning. Don't fiddle with all the settings!
Vanilla is best!

You should really submit a bug report in the forum format. But if you search the forum for G920 it's probably been asked and answered a thousand times.
Sounds like you don't have permissions to change game settings so probably non-standard Steam installation or Windows Security settings. But there isn't the detail in the report.

1 hour ago, LogiUK said:@steviejay69 Actually it makes no difference - in either the PS3 or PS4 position G HUB will still detect the wheel and switch it to PC mode.
@mjg1301I could do with a full list of games that you've tried the wheel with please. Also, is the wheel present and working when you test it in the Game Controllers app in Windows (joy.cpl from the run window)?
@LogiUK is that different to with LGS? Asking for a friend 🙂

dxdiag would also be helpful, thanks.
AMD works fine, just gameplay issues if the machine is setup correctly.
-
The G29 needs to be in PS4 mode on PC AFAIK, the drivers won't work if it's not.
-
How long have you been posting here and know these dumper logs are next to useless? Don't minimise and then re-open the window with OBS running.
-
Would have been better in Systems and Connectivity than gameplay for obvious reasons.

I just found this fix for the Ego Dumper...
"Image Sharpening – Off
Low Latency Mode – Off
Power Management – Prefer Maximum Performance
Texture filtering – Quality – Performance
Threaded Optimization – OnApply these changes and F1 2020 will stop crashing with Ego Dumper crash."
I changed the settings and hope that there will be no more crashes..
the funny thing is that it only crashs while watching the replay of the race.. and after I have to do the whole race again which isnt that funny on 50% 😄You are far better posting a dxdiag than the egodumper log which is almost useless (unless requested by CM specifically).
We have no idea of the hardware, drivers or Windows version from any of this.
Don't watch the replays.... 😄

Or Steam redistributables.
Honestly, the whole thing is a crapshoot.

Yes, framecapping is an accepted solution. But your dxdiag shows you run a 1080 screen.
So quite why you are running the game in 720 is baffling, this I flagged in beta when running the game in a different refresh to the default desktop refresh.
The RX590 is capable of hitting up to 165Hz in Medium preset, which isn't a million miles off what you are aimed at.
But if it will run High or Ultra at 100/120/144 (whatever the screen will support, looks like 144 native and 165 is OC) - you should try HIgh at 1080 no need to framecap just turn on freesync.

14 hours ago, speedyvify said:Thanks @BarryBL, I had steam verify and update the necessary files. It is working again now.
Best that you can do is create a custom livery for the multiplayer car and then use that in TT as it is Merc performance. Hope this helps.

Gonna seem like a bone stupid question but you are using the wheel with the external power supply plugged in, aren't you? 🙄
