But I'll try with the default T300 profile and see if that works. There's no difference between my custom one and the default one in that regard but just for testing I'll do it.
I realise trying the suggestions is tedious, but it's not widely reported so I'm thinking it is something specific to your settings.

Was it solely editing the hardware_settings_config.xml? @Jani07

Software microcode update KB4497165 you may have had this if you check your Update History. Installing it can only help, the BIOS 1402 is quite outdated.
USB 2.0 ports are located under the keyboard connector and not coloured blue like the USB 3.0 - also from front panel connectors connected to USB910, USB78, USB56 or USB34 along the bottom edge of the motherboard. Try the controller and the keyboard dongle in those (this is usually what I recommend for wheels so it might not have much effect).
Try also disabling the Image Sharpening in the Nvidia Control Panel.
Try manually editing the hardware_settings_config.xml to alter the bold items to your display recommended 3840 x 2160

I will try tomorow with 16 GB ram.
Clean boot won't help. It's the game that's crashing, not Windows.
And if you don't post the motherboard make and model I can't suggest anything else.

Have you got custom mappings for (individual) gears set on either the keyboard or the T300? (This should only be used to map a pattern (i.e. non-sequential) shifter, AFAIK.)
When you set a key on a T300 custom map, it combines the devices as an input schema.
Likewise, press a button (or pedal / shifter) on the T300 in the keyboard mapping and it will combine the two as a schema.
Delete the custom schemas and use the default profiles. Verify in game you can use the shifters.
Set the mappings you want and save the new schema, then try it.
Let me know.

Every client has to trust all the other clients and they just say where they are and none of the other clients gives a hoot about how they got there. Your client doesn't even know the setups of the other cars so it wouldn't know what speeds should be possible etc. It's just a trust system and that's very bad in a game where the difference all too often is in the 0.001 regions. I get that everything should be simulated on your pc first and you'd want 0 input lag but there should be a dedicated host server that just keeps track of everything and corrects clients whenever they do funny stuff, and it's from there that spectators should get their information too.
Apart from giving paying customers a worse experience, they indeed also stop us from modding the game and fixing things they are too lazy (or constraint by time) to do themselves which is a bad thing.
While i get that in terms of car liveries, especially if they want to sell more stupid Haloween dlc, but they should really make everything else but the models moddable, (or... you know... changeable in game by design.)
Personally i don't think it's a good idea to let your paying customers suffer for your fear for cheaters either.
Small as this games playerbase is (might change if they finally fix multiplayer though) it's al community leagues anyway where people know eachother well enough and it just wouldn't make sense to try to cheat in such an environment. especially if races get streamed it will take exactly 1 race for people to be on to you and throw your cheaty ass in the bin where you belong. And to be honest i DO feel it's a job of the leagues to make sure everybody plays by the rules. Cripple your game AND failing to protect game integrity is even worse though, so they should just stop crippling. If anything it's this stupid ranked mode that makes people cheat to try hard max rank to brag or whatnot. i think your rank should just be based on all your online lap times you did. (of course very much relative to laps in the same conditions/fuel load/tires) that gives us a WAY better idea of how quick someone is and would stop kids from cheating to get high rank in the 5 lap crashmode.
Totally agree with that, wasn't really being critical of your post just trying to add context, not trying to defend Codemasters either.
Piracy, the argument will rumble on forever. Pirates are NEVER going to buy the game, just people if they're given an EASY choice between a free, pirated, 100% functional copy and a paid, official 100% functional copy of a game - more will choose the free option that would have otherwise. That's revenue loss.
Anti-cheat / tamper needs to be worthwhile, it's patently NOT working all that well if people can apply cheats and it IS impacting on load times for sure - it's whether or not that content scrambling / unscrambling is the cause of some of the issues, IDK. If it is, it's shameful.
Just like it's for lawyers to argue who is the problem and what is worthwhile chasing over piracy, it's equally likely that accountants will decide whether or not the cost of Denuvo is lower than the potential amount of lost revenue to piracy and or any additional damages to the perception of cheating.

Like you said its only a month to go before game is released.
I know in the leagues I am involved with. We have to thoughly test the new game with our league members.
And that no disrespect to Barry or anyone else.
We do this every year before we move on to the next game. Meaning potentially we can have next year's game sitting there.
MULTIPLAYER is where the action is. Its what brings groups of people together
I enjoy career and TT .I am also hoping building your own team will be as good as the postcard says it is
Have a good testing people.
If you have access to the forum you will get a code. No point you being here otherwise 🙂

1) How to communicate back to the race director
2) In the championship season when i drive the car with normal tyres almost at the end with 4 laps remaining i see rain and director is saying me to drive with the tyres as we have only couple of laps. But i am not able to drive in that condition. How should we handle this?
@Krrishv I think you mean Engineer - Race Director means something entirely different.
You respond using the option buttons or voice control option depending on platform (and whether it is actually working).
I think @Krix2001 misunderstood you.

Post a dxdiag on the TA because we do really need this fixing.
It's very serious, it is affecting F1 2019 and without wanting to give too much away, you may not be getting the answer you hope for in your last sentence.
Unless there is some serious testing into why players leaving and joining and running generic settings that the game ships in causes this issue then it will never be solved.

It's missing the point a bit. Yes, Denuvo cripples loading performance there is no denying that and yes it is anti-piracy but it is also anti-tamper.
It's also not a perfect solution as it's clear some modifications get past the anti-tamper. On PC that is a major issue, shouldn't just be down to leagues to suspect and eject players that are cheating.
For offline modes, I don't give a hoot - let people fiddle with anything, if they can't do stuff with the difficulty turned right down then IDK.
But for competitive play then it needs to be a level playing field and other games are / have adopted similar / much worse technology.
The only problem for me is if it affects the very thing it's designed to protect, game integrity.

Just tried the 1972 Lotus and the 1976 Ferrari with my T300 on TT at AUS no problem.

In the real world you can look in your mirrors and turn your head and actually see better because it's the real world. Plus they manage it because they've had thousands of hours behind the wheel. We're playing a game so maybe you should get better at it and stop being bitter towards those who are already good at it.
He should be sorry for not agreeing with you.

@magricajj do you have an Administrator user account on the PC? How does your G920 connect to the PC? Can you ensure you use no hubs and USB 2.0? Really not comprehending these Logitech issues....

aarava is the one I can listen to less than Ben (Tiametmarduk)

12 minutes ago, BelgiumDude said:The reason why I asked this question is because the short career modes is what makes me want to buy this game. I don't have enough time to do all the races and become become a championship winning team. It will take seasons so I'm happy to ten race seasons and get new tracks on the calendar every season
That's fine for you. Are there any videos where the career mode is explained in more detail?
I find a lot of the influencers too much work to listen to at times unless they're being deliberately levitous.

1. A description of the issue. Please include any error codes here.
Like the title says. The client updated to
It triggered a first-time installation. I thought it was related to installing SimHub v7.0.0.6 and the runtimes that caused it but it wasn't.
2. What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen)
1.22
3. Game-mode?
Wasn't playing
4. Are you able to recreate the issue? If so, please include recreation steps on how you encountered this issue.
Yep. I firstly tried a system restore point that took the system back to the installations of the VC runtimes. This didn't work.
Then, I tried restoring the whole snapshot from 12/06/20 22:31. Launching the game the Steam update occurred and the game synchronises with Steam Cloud (which I have globally disabled in Steam, hence it's empty save about a few hundred Kb). This wipes my local save.
5. How often do you see this problem? Is it the only time or does it always happen?
Each time I start after reloading the image. I don't have any other system restore points (I delete them to shrink the image). Haven't got File History backing up that folder as to be fair, this is a test build and not my main rig.
6. Have you tried any troubleshooting? We recommend the steps here as a starting point for any issues. Please let us know what troubleshooting methods you have tried while creating this post.
Well, I think I've outlined it.
7. Any accessories you are using (gamepad, wheel etc) Thrustmaster T300RS GT Edition, Acelith Rim / Magnetic shifter mod, Fanatec CSPv1 pedals
8. Any screenshots or video of the issue? If the video is long, please include a timestamp for when the issue appears.
Please also add a DXDiag if you are playing on PC.

Oh I can see things going wrong here.
The ability to shorten career to predefined lengths of 10, 16 & 22 is not what people are looking for this year.
The full 22 race calendar I can see people wanting to do as you do all the planned tracks in the original order (as if Coronavirus had not happened).
16 races I can see being popular (full season with 6 worst tracks taken out).
At the moment there are only 8 races confirmed with two double headers (Austria x2, Hungary, Britain x2, Spain, Belgium, Italy) not in order and with repeats.
So 10 looks an odd choice, it neither meets confirmed number of races nor can they be repeated and you can't accommodate non-calendar tracks (already Lee Mather has said no non-calendar tracks will be added), not that we know what they are until and if they are confirmed.
But repeating tracks will be popular. Leagues will just do repeated Unranked lobbies anyway.

I've tried before with LGS but had same issue, so once I fixed it by uninstalling GHub, unplug wheel, pc restart, install ghub, plug whell and everthing was ok till next pc boot, than with ghub installed i have to run reg fix.
IF only I could change this reg value to read only.
Do you have PCARS 2 installed?

Just now, Erumasta said:My FPS is capped to 60 as my TV is 60hz and it still crashes, anyway, its not a big issue as it only crash when I close a game, not mid race.
Yesterday I've noticed a similar problem with performance "drop" on DX11, not as huge as on DX12 but still happens.
Here is first few laps on Singapore, "rock solid" 60fps Link
And here later in race Link
Today I'm gonna monitor mem usage as maybe there is some kind of memory leak.
Framecap wasn't a complete solution for me, sadly. It reduced the instances of crash on exit but did not remove it.

Open registry editor (regedit) and change This
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaProperties\PrivateProperties\Joystick\OEM\VID_046D&PID_C24F
Test this values, it works for me:
OEMName: "Logitech G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel USB" instead of "G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel"
OEMData: 43 00 08 10 19 00 00 00 instead of 00 00 00 10 00 00 00 00"Export this after, and than if problem after PC restart comeback, simply run shortcut to exported reg file and u are good to go.
@Erumasta Are you willing to test and confirm this?
Delete your in-game and LGS controller profiles (or back them up via LGS for reinstallation later if you so wish).
Uninstall LGS with Geek Uninstaller. Reboot.
Install GHub. Reboot. Set controller profile. Play.
Your old dxdiag showed you using LGS, but it is no longer updated by Logitech.
If you have no success you can revert to LGS by uninstalling GHub with the Geek Uninstaller.
The constant complaints about Logitech controllers is getting very repetitive and if nothing is done, the situation persists. Quite honestly I'd like the issue to be taken up by Logitech as well, but I know their tech support is pretty useless.

16 hours ago, MassiveNoogies said:My apologies - "supported" was the wrong word to use; "compatible" was the one I was looking for. The Open Wheel Add-On is not on Codemasters' compatibility list. Although it does physically work (the car turns when I turn the wheel, pedals work fine and buttons can be mapped and all work like they should), it's apparent that there is something wrong that is seemingly unfixable when using that wheel to play F1 on an XBox console related to the steering input. I play F1 with a guy who uses a Fanatec wheel that also isn't on the compatibility list and he says his wheel feels different under all of the presets. Luckily for him though, he doesn't have the same problem I had. So once I get this different wheel later this week, we'll see if that was, indeed, the problem or if the saga continues...
I have played F1 on an Open Wheel on the T300. It works. Some have an issue with the F1 rim on the TS-XW.
However, there are perhaps wheelbase combos that do not work. The Open Wheel add-on would work on the T-GT, TS-PC Racer, the TS-XW, T500, T300 and TX.
The TS-XW and TX are basically the XB compatible TS-PC and T300 (T300 is PS3/4). The T300 is basically the replacement for the T500 as the T300 in PS3 mode is a T500 to a console.
The T-GT is the 'upgrade' to the old T500 which was marketed around the F1 Rim (but T-GT is PS4/PC AFAIK).
Thrustmaster eco-system would be easy if it weren't for consoles.
Basically the T-GT and the T500 would be the only two wheels, none of the others would need to exist. T150/TMX are budget console wheels, others are older console wheels again.

FYI, I am about to remove (probably by the release of F1 2020) these archived drivers if they are not required. I have changed my wheel and will be using Fanatec CSL Elite Wheelbase, CSP F1 2020 LE rim, CSPv1 pedals.
It occurs to me that Thrustmaster are the only major wheel supplier not using 64-bit drivers. Logitech and Fanatec being the mainstream alternatives.
No response to my message to Thrustmaster Tech Support bar the first automated.
