@CardConvict mentioned that a Driver reinstall with DDU did help him, so maybe it is a driver thing in the end after all.I'll try it. I have a league race at 1900 BST so I can DDU and Clean Install 446.14. I did clean build to 18363 recently on the machine but definitely 445.87 was clean as I had another RX480 in the build (20.1.3 was DDUed). Currently I updated to 446.14 from 445.87 but I will test and probably DDU again. It's unlikely IMO to be this, but leave no stone unturned.
I wasn't getting the crashing in 445.87 that others were reporting. The other F1 series game I'm playing is only offline if you catch my drift, so it will be interesting to see what happens.

So, if you run the game at a locked 60 fps, in a best case scenario, every single frame out of those 60 is display for 16,6667ms(1sec = 100ms | 100ms/60fps = 16,667ms)In some cases, like yours I presume, the frame time of some frames could be off. It happens when the gpu has difficulties reaching 60fps and then it ends up showing one frame for longer than usual because it has to wait longer for the next frame.
As to why it is caused, that could be anything and I'm afraid I can't help you there a lot mate, you know I have an AMD gpu that runs fine. It's weird though that it only happens in Multiplayer.
Maybe Multiplayer is more demanding on the Hardware? But I would at least try the following:
- reduce your graphics settings and see if it helps (especially try lowering the resolution);
- turn off v-sync AND g-sync and then see if it helps,
- try one of those good ol' clean driver re-installs.Yeah already done.
I run MEDIUM preset.
99Hz (100FPS) which is only respected when desktop is synced to same refresh.
V-SYNC is ON as recommended by Freesync, the monitor is not G-SYNC compatible.
I use Display Port.
I have tried FastSync in NVCPL or Application controlled.

He went invisible and blocked the box for me. Had to retire.

It is already open (over a week) you will have access to a beta forum under the F1 sub forum. If not, you were not accepted.

You should be able to remove the poll yourself by editing the thread.
Remove question (3 times) was not the expected way but cheers!

Thank you !
If you could update the thread title to [Solved] that would be great.

I'm just going to suggest that you've tried the firmware update for the TX as I can see the driver is the latest. But as you've linked the support pages, you have probably passed due diligence.
My only remark is that issue should have been flagged earlier if it were so (not suggesting you are wrong, just surprised no one has mentioned it).
Please disconnect the controllers and delete any custom control schema within the game. Shut down the game.
Remove the Thrustmaster drivers using Geek Uninstaller.
Restart the PC, install the driver. Connect ONLY the TX base. Test for correct operation in the Thrustmaster CP.
Delete the hardware_settings_config.xml and launch the game, post back with your findings.

10 hours ago, Lakrits said:The game have been solid as a rock up until a few days ago, then it started crashing and have done so multiple times. The only things I know is different from before the crashings started happening is Windows update KB4497165, which is strange since it's an Intel microcode update and I have a Ryzen CPU, and the fact that I've been driving the Ferrari F2004, not done that ever before.
1. Description. Nothing else than that the game locks up and then crashes. Twice there have been crash reports, not sure if the first one got sent or not, I couldn't alt-tab to it, the game screen had taken over somehow and didn't let me. Everything exited when I hit enter though so maybe it got sent.
2. Running the latest 1.22.
3. Time trial, ranked online and the weekly event so far.
4. Not really. Sometimes I can play for an hour, other times it crashes almost instantly. Haven't been able to see anything common.
5. It has happened 5-6 times so far in the last 2-3 days. Never before.
6. No troubleshooting except checking which windows update was installed before this started happening. I don't know what to look for since the game has never crashed before on this computer.
7. Thrustmaster Ferrari GT Experience 3-in-1 (Old cheap thing)
8. Not captured any video. Haven't really gotten into doing that yet.
Don't know if I dare get into the weekly event again. The last crash happened on my second lap in the first practise session and now that session is lost. If it happens again I will not be able to do all programmes. And at worst, if it happens in quali before I can set a hot lap and I have to redo it I'll be penalised. Might just skip this event because of this.
KB4497165 is unfortunately installing using Microsoft's hopeless WU AI (unless it's a patch push ahead of 20H1 which will probably include this patch level by default). No explanation has been offered by Microsoft, so this is idle speculation.
It was offered to my laptop despite me having had a microcode update from Lenovo 6 months ago (and Microsoft's microcode is still a patch level behind Intel). These are the MDS level microcode fixes.
It will have zero effect on your microcode as Ryzen is not affected by the majority of SPECTRE/MDS flaws but the two files mcupdate_GenuineIntel.dll and mcupdate_AuthenticAMD.dll are packaged together.
HWiNFO will show your microcode version. Restart in safe mode, take ownership of and rename the two (or just the AMD one in your case) dlls and restart. Uninstalling the patch will lead to it being installed again.
Once you've renamed those files then HWiNFO will show your UEFI/BIOS level of microcode.
The Windows kernel just uses the most up to date, either from your UEFI/BIOS or the dll.

Well, that went well 🙂
@Malvarezr the G29 drivers look outdated. The linked file is an update to LGS as I'm sure using G-Hub you'd have different drivers reported in the dxdiag anyway.
I'm not sure it's the solution.

I double checked and reinstalled my Nvidia game drivers and they appear to be up to date.
Any help is appreciated.
Your dxdiag shows crashes with RadeonSettings.exe! Please use DDU to remove the AMD drivers!
The Visio TV display is reporting as 30Hz (progessive) refresh - I'm not sure the game will run at 30Hz maybe we could get some feedback @BarryBL?
@Rsawyers please post the hardware_settings_config.xml or at least try to play the game on the laptop monitor. This will narrow the issue down. I've a feeling you may need to force 60Hz.

@EXPERTYOYO973 you need to post the crash dumps and a dxdiag please.
Last chance, English please or no help. It's that simple. @zon1bzh I understand what you are trying to do, but it is not helping the readability of the thread.

So, as some of you may or may not know I have two PC builds that I am using on the F1 series. One build is with an Nvidia GPU (6GB GTX1060).
When playing in multiplayer sessions I am experiencing what I would like to describe as frame-rate issues but the frame rates do not drop. The gameplay does not stutter (often) or tear but playing is not as smooth an experience as with my AMD GPU (RX580 8GB - actually a flashed RX480). ALT-TAB in and out is ineffective.
So, the questions I would like feedback on are;
- Do you have a G-SYNC compatible monitor (Yes/No)?
- How do you connect to your display (DP/HDMI/DVI/D-SUB)?
- What is the refresh rate of your screen (144+/120/100/75+/60)?
- V-SYNC (Yes/No)?
- Framelimiter (external tuner or use in-game option) (Yes/No)?
- Video mode (Fullscreen exclusive/Windowed (Fullscreen))?
- Desktop refresh rate (I'll leave this open to answer seeing as it does make a difference for me at least)?
- Nvidia Control Panel sync mode?
The problem is not present in Offline mode, just multiplayer. But depending on answers, I may not need more questions (yet).

That's very keen. I'm about to ask Nvidia owners how they get a stable output on a non-G-SYNC hella expensive screen because playing the game was uncomfortable visually.
SO glad I use AMD as main GPU, but going to pose the question.

Just a quick update.
The latest NVIDIA driver has been released ver: 446.14
I've raced around in F12019 for an hour now without any problems.

Hope you're all staying safe & happy racing!
Does seem to have rolled the hotfix of 445.98 into 446.14 @BarryBL

Millions of screens from the EGO Dumper and screenshots of the machine info are absolutely no use. Loads of misdirected effort.

@Ploowz I can only advise you read the advice in the motherboard manual and carry out the firmware upgrade. It can fix many CPU errata, memory or SSD compatibility, GPU compatibility, etc.
Newer drivers work best on updated hardware. Good luck.
Also, you continue to use the unsigned driver.
Sometimes to catch the good fortune, you have to try the hard road. Thanks.

How do i can fix it?
This generally appears when you are muted.
This may be a mic permissions thing or a driver setting. Carry out the microphone test in the Control Panel|Sound|(Select Output Device)|Configure
Settings|Privacy|Microphone

Never really ran the game in Ultra so would only get a bastardised HWSC anyway.
Troubleshooting will tell you where that file is. No guarantees.
This is what I meant. You change the in-game settings and it makes the HWSC only take the 'doctored' line.
But even with a custom script, it didn't work. Thing is, even if what you had done had worked, you couldn't have complained if it crashed - likely from all accounts, because your configuration would have been unsupported.

Do you mean you have a Leo Bodnar USB adapter for the Logitech pedals?
And your pedals don't register?
Hopefully someone with one can answer this!
