I don’t think that would work because if some people (like myself) play both offline and online modes, we don’t want to paying double to access that. It a difficult matter as every positive point would be matched or overweight with the negative

I have suggested that a spin off could be achieved. Have the regular game as is with yearly iterations, game modes all that etc.

Have the MP engine developed and allow DLC for the seasonal updates. That way you can follow whichever path or both.

I suppose the only way to replicate it would be visually and coding the impact on car's performance. But there are so many implications: could the system eventually be developed in career modes with other teams? Would it break licensing rules? Plus it's already out of 2022 rules, so honestly I don't know if it worth it just for one car for a year or two...

You assume the trainee dev that gets this one might not be able to code it....

  3. Will Buxton is sorely missed in the UK. I have grown to like Alex Jacques, but I really understand why my man went stateside to present the main event.

Buxton was about one of the only people I followed on Twitter, but I canned that after 10 years of pointless argument lol

Personally I don't think DAS will be in the game. Probably it would have been in the game. But without real life races we don't know how Mercedes will use it during the race.

Currently DAS is a big mystery even in the paddock...

I mean, I don't know how I will be even able to engage it unless Thrustmaster do some kind of mod!

Estou com esse mesmo problema segue em anexo meu dxdiag, aguardo resposta.

    DxDiag.txt

English language, please. However, I will attempt to assist you.

At the top of the forum, there is a post about the 445 series driver. 445.98 is the working hotfix.

The board is quite an oddball, some Foxconn/Pegatron variant for Brazilian native market. I don't think I can help beyond the Nvidia driver but you might get some updates from the Intel Driver and Support Assistant (but equally it might baulk at the board being old - it is Skt1156 Q57 chipset).

No, not using a VPN or proxy and I'm from Namibia/Africa.

@BarryBL is Africa a supported region? Also, internet provision in Africa is mainly celluar and satellite, AIUI.

Who is your ISP? I did a quick search and three of the six listed ISPs I couldn't resolve their websites.

Well, the Fanatec beta testers reckon it is F1 2019 software limitations and in high torque, the DD1 is too sophisticated for F1 2019 simplicity.  I understand that low torque is about the same as CSW 2.5.

In LT, it drives much better, but I still need to get more sensation back of loosing front grip.

I might be better better off with a belt drive wheel like CSW, but although at the moment my interest is CM F1, I guess I have the DD performance should I go to another sim.

Is is thought that a CSW 2.5 would be a better, smoother experience?  But may reach limitations in better sims.

I'm sorry, but if you got that response from Fanatec then it's ********* buck-passing. They are selling the Podium bundle with F1 2020. If it's users, it's just buyer's regret.

What they are basically saying is they won't investigate / don't care why 1700€ of hardware won't work with a 75€ game? Hard to swallow when they are the official supplier of F1 Esports and you've posted video of Nato having no issues.

I still maintain it's likely that the Surface Laptop is the issue and / or the USB-C Hub. Microsoft should have put more ports on a computer they want to sell as an alternative to a MacBook.

The 16 MacBook Pro has 4x Thunderbolt ports, the Surface 3 15 Laptop has a USB-C and USB-A, that's pathetic. (I'm sure there will be just as many issues with the Thunderbolt ports on the MacBook but hey, chances to sell expensive Apple adaptors).

Just my 10c but I'm sorry we weren't able to offer you a solution. Hang fire until you get the gaming rig.

    Hi guys,

i'm playing with some friends in some closed lobby and a lot of them says that they see me lagging all over the track and thus creating problem in the race. I don't understand why, my ping is at 40-50, max 100, so I should not have any kind of internet problems. My NAT is on moderate and i can't change it on open. Could the NAT be the problem ?

Playing on WiFi can cause lag more than your internet.

Ping depends on distance to players. You can speedtest your internet locally as much as you like, that ping figure is irrelevant unless you ping to a server near your host.

You can see the visual indicators in the lobby screen. If you are green and others including the host are red, you're too far away.

If you are red to the lobby, that is not great. Connection bars over the cars indicate ping over 100ms, x indicates almost 500ms (half a second).

Number of bars means bandwidth is limited. If you get any kind of connection warning when playing a MP session, you'd be advised to do all you can to remedy it (including NAT, wired, etc.)

  9. In the Radeon Settings you can choose whether to allow the game to make the choices for AA or override them in the driver.

It also looks like you have the motion blur effect turned on. To be fair, it covers a multitude of sins. It looks better with it at 0% but then, jaggies.

If you find a way of making it look better, then please tell us what works for you.

V-SYNC is off by default, this can lead to tearing, but the AA would be unaffected. V-SYNC is useful for smoothing the output.

But the other side of that same token is V-SYNC can affect framerates, so there is a framerate cap tool that works with V-SYNC OFF.

If you have a Freesync Monitor (yours is) then V-SYNC ON is recommended.

You can then use the graphics mode to govern the framerate (there are third party tools like Afterburner or RTSS - RivaTuner, whatever it's called now) but they can adversely affect the game.

V-SYNC should adapt to the monitor refresh specified in the in-game options.

On another note I also use DP to connect to my AOC monitor and the game has always had a bit of ghosting at 144Hz.

It's hard to see any effect you see in-game as uploading to YT reencodes the video no matter what settings you use.

    Hi guys,

can you please confirm me the following:

    1) is F1 2018 multiplayer architecture based on peer2peer?

    2) is F1 2019 multiplayer architecture based on peer2peer?

    3) if yes to one of the above, is there any way to setup a dedicated server?

    Regards

    Nicola

I can confirm the F1 2018 and F1 2019 use the same peer to peer hosting model. So no to your 3rd question. LAN game is possible though.

I forgot to mention, sometimes the vibration of the controller works but when I hit the brakes or throttle there’s no trigger rumble in my Xbox one pad

OK. If you look to the top of this thread there is a bug report form, please fill it out and post a dxdiag. (You can edit the first post).

Hello, around half the time I boot the game up on my pc, the rumble does not work on my Bluetooth Xbox one gamepad.  Restarting the game sometimes solves the issue but it’s just a frustrating issue.  It makes racing difficult with no assists.  Thank you.

Do you have the Xbox pad up and running before starting the game in the first instance? (i.e. connected to the PC)

The game can detect a change in hardware each time it starts.

  13. The issue Codemasters have is the tyre choice menu and restrictions by using different levels of session and qualifying.

F2 cars are allocated tyre sets for a weekend and barely have enough - but it's a budgetary consideration.

It really doesn't account for track abrasion and the tyre allocation is predetermined (not by the teams).

So to compound it with inflexible AI just makes for the same scenario every race. Quickly got boring, a shame because the handling model didn't get broken.

  14. The whole issue of classics is a bit of a bugbear to be honest.

    Time Trial Leaderboards for example.

Unless you pick the right car, you can't be top as ALL classics are lumped together. This is also how the Ghost lap save data is stored.

TT uses 2019 performance, so very little chance of topping a leaderboard with anything other than a Merc (or possibly a Ferrari), no chance with a Williams (glitch / cheat laps excepted).

    0 - F1 2019

    1 - Classic

    2 - F2

Got into UEFI, but could find settings like old BIOS settings I'm used to!!  Passive hub.

Like I say, laptops are pretty restricted with most BIOS options hidden. I can't find any online documentation.

Hate to say it, but I feel this modern tech (or the hub) may be the cause of the issue. I certainly would explore the game on a connected PC or different laptop with more or more configurable USB ports. If you reach out to Fanatec, I'm sure they will give similar advice. But I would for sure make that the next step before RMA as you might find yourself with expensive shipping costs BOTH ways plus some kind of inspection fee.

12 of your 27 posts have been one word replies, mainly "Ok".

If I can see that, anyone else can.

Post 1 was "I hope I get chosen for the beta"

"Any technical feedback or opinions?" Ok

Is there coming any notice in forum mailbox if you are selected to Beta?

I have a problem with my e-mail that has informed here because it has been blocked for long time now and I have not find a way to change my exiting e-mail address in my profile.

I did look at this and yes I don't think there is a way of editing the email on the account, you would have to delete the account, create a new one with the new email and link your profiles.

But then, this all seems to hinge on the Codemasters Accounts created for Racenet, which AFAIK isn't 100% functional?

    Hi guys!

I am new to this forum, just bought Thrustmaster T150 Pro and it is my first ffb wheel.

Wanted to try it out in F1 2019, and then the problem happened. I am playing on PS4.

The steering becomes very hard to turn, very tough to hold a straight line. I know that this wheel make sound when turning, but in race this sound is weird (I am afraid I will brake something:classic_blush:) and thats why I am wondering is everything normal.

Tried to make some changes in settings, and it felt better(4sec slower than joypad playing still:classic_unsure:), but I cant imagine playing Monaco for example. Hope it is just because of the ffb settings, and I would appreciate any help. Also when self calibration is finished, in game it shows my wheel is -4 centered, not zero.

    Cheers

You could do worse than plug it in a PC, check the firmware and read the manual about resetting the centre value.

Thnx! Would be great so we can get the stuff out on release and not start programming on release.

From previous experience this stuff is accessible and there is feedback from the beta, so I hope you applied.

    HI,

Could you tell me how we remove or move the rectangular message that appears on the screen. This message tells us if we have exceeded the limits or hit another vehicle.
I have it direct in my vision of driving and when this message appears it prevents me from seeing the seen. Because I'm in the cockpit view.

    thank you.

I cannot find (join) any online session. It always just comes out as "no sessions found". My internet works, so I'm confused as to why I'm unable find any session??

Firewall settings or maybe Windows 7? This is why you need to post a bug report and / or read the forum before posting.
