Hi, I've just got F1 2019 for PC and am having weird random issues with DRS and power.  I've got all the F1 games since 2010, and also play Dirt Rally 2.0, Assetto Corsa etc without these issues so I don't think it's a wheel\pedal issue (Logitech Formula Force EX).  Apologies if these are known issues, but I had a look through the forum posts etc and couldn't find anything on this.

Firstly, I've noticed the DRS randomly doesn't work when DRS definitely should be allowed.  I hear the beep when I enter the zone, but pressing the button does nothing until the next DRS zone when it sometimes works fine.  I've remapped the key in case I've got a dodgy button but the same thing happens.  I've noticed it in Career mode,  where i thought it may be a simulated failure, but it also occurs in multiplayer, in practise, quali and races.

Secondly, I've noticed another random issue with a random lack of power.  First noticed it in career mode in China where I'd be going down the back straight and still not have lit up any 'rev LED's' in 7th by the time i have to brake for the hairpin, but then on the start straight a few corners later I'll be reaching 8th gear for the first corner on the next lap.  ERS,  fuel, DRS settings don't affect it.  I've also noticed the same thing in multiplayer, specifically Catalunya, where I can be in 7th at the end of the start straight and actually hear the engine slowing even when i should be accelerating.  In career mode I thought this was some kind of simulated engine issue, but as it happens in multiplayer i guess not.

Any ideas?  All I could find online was someone on the Apex Racing forums posted a similar issue around a week ago.

    Thanks in advance.

Please post a full bug report as highlighted in the top of the forum.

    https://forums.codemasters.com/announcement/38-want-to-report-an-issue-have-a-bug-to-report-please-look-here-first/

The DRS closes when the brake pedal is pressed. A common fault is when the pedal potentiometer is dirty or if the controller needs recalibrating in the Control Panel. You will see this as the brake registering when you are not touching it. This would also explain the slowing you are experiencing.

I bought the f1 2019 game on my Xbox one and I can’t seem to connect to online services. I don’t have Xbox live or play online, is this the reason?

Online services need an internet connection. IDK if XBL has a mode similar to old Silver on X360?

Allright, then it's time to report a proper assistance file. Look at the green banner to see what we need from you. A DXdiag file is always handy (if you are on pc) We have a whizzkid around that is absolutely fabulous in fixing PC related problems isn't that right @steviejay69 ?

I can try. People that claim guesswork are just not fans of my broadbrush approach. @Alex321gg I'm guessing you have either a BT or USB dongle headset? But please, post the dxdiag as that WAS just an educated guess....

So I tested the Wheel on my PS4. Worked perfectly. Now I checked it again on my pc and out of nowhere the pedals are back to normal but forced feedback ist still ****** up. I feel every bounce on the track but even at 250 km/h i can turn the wheel with 1 finger all around. I am getting so frustrated.

Edit: So i basically have no FFB from the tires itself

@Muerte1992 Uninstall the Aura software. Tell me the make and model of the mainboard as the dxdiag does not have it.

@neomatrix1977 Logitech recommend using G-Hub for all their peripherals.

I know the older wheels like G27 and earlier require an older version of LGS (5.10). Unfortunately I don't have a G29 to test. I used to have a G920 but I have a T300 now.

I stopped using the G920 before G-Hub was meant to support the wheels. Looking at logitech community, more than a few users have issues with G-Hub.

LGS 9.02.65 I think is the latest LGS. Try this please. (Logitech FTP server seems to agree, who knows how long that will be around for? Logitech support search is awful.)

When you have the LGS installed, check the function in the Windows Control Panel (all the buttons and pedals, paddles will map to a button). If they all work, delete the hardware_settings_config.xml and relaunch your game. Remove any redundant G29 profiles that Steam has restored. Use the default G29 profile in F1 to test all the buttons work in game, then and only then, remap just what you need to change.

Save the new profile with a unique name. Play.

Let me know how it goes.

hi Steve   just popped home for 5 mins and thanks for the update...  Funny enough the Restoro program has already been removed last night...    meant to say earlier but its just occurred to me my previous graphics card the HD6950 would also only play in ultra low mode.   As posted earlier I can now get the game to run  with the new graphics card in ultra low too ,since removing the Ge force overlay..  The previous graphics card would also crash to desktop if the settings were moved to low or higher, which is why I bought a new graphics card..   So im thinking this is pointing to hardware rather than drivers...  Do you still want to see a dxdiag or has that changed your train of thought?

I can only try to help further if you post a dxdiag.

It sounds like your system is not updated. You should be able to get things running a lot better. Technically the i5-2500K is below minimum spec. But it will be interesting to see what kind of framerates you can get out of the 1660. The board is only PCI-Ex16 v2.0 (said to make no difference initially) and the RAM will only be DDR3-1333 at best (and it's best in dual channel).

Hello, been looking arround, i have a Vega56 also, and noticed you say you run at ultra settings.
I can barely run at medium and get 60fps... have to turn almost everything down.

    Asus STRIX Vega56
    Ryzen 3600@4ghz
    16gb DDR4 @2900mhz

Then there is something wrong, I can get 120FPS on High with an RX480@580

@Steve.. Sorry you are indeed correct, my info was incorrect....  I am short of time atm as got to go out but attached in the meantime is a grab of the system.

    MAINBOARD.JPG

Well the dxdiag will help more, but the board is old and has had several updates to BIOS since yours.

Last is here. Use the ASUS EzFlash 2 procedure as outlined in the manual (section 2.1.2).

I would also consider uninstalling the Restoro program using the Geek Uninstaller. It is a nuisance program at best, possibly malware at worst. (Restoro.com is blocked by Malwarebytes Browser Guard extension as containing malware).

Hello I am having this issue with my T150 Pro setup. I can shift downwards but not upwards.

My settings are Manual with suggested gear.

I have tried my paddles they both work fine, but I can't shift up in F1 2019.

I have tried hitting all different buttons making sure it wasn;t my fault.

Have you got automatic gears selected because with that you can manually downshift? I would toggle the assists back to automatic then try manual as well.

The other thing is please post a proper bug report in TA with platform. You may benefit from firmware in the T150 Pro (the current is v11) yes, "brand new" wheels ship with old firmware.

If you have any specific kerbs, be sure to list them if you have time to do so! It's always good to list the specific things, because then there is a higher chance that specific thing gets fixed instead of some other thing you didn't even know existed 🙂

You know, people who can post the inaccuracies in a detailed fashion are the kind of people who might be useful in the beta.

  10. I think in an official game we should get the accurate track and track perimeter. Circuits evolve, they are living, breathing things. Bumps are removed, camber is changed, surfaces are altered, runoffs are adjusted, grass is grown, gravel is generally removed :classic_wacko: facilities change, stands are repositioned, etc.

The advertising is another matter because fees.

And the clock changes throughout the race.... OK Codies, next gen though, really!

    1.  F1 2019 worked fine until I changed the graphics card today from HD6950 to Nvidia 1660 super . now crashes on loading race screen

    2  pc platform   i3 2800k @3300 ghz, 8gb ram..

    3 version 1.22

    4 single player mode

5 change of graphics card seems to have led to the problem.

    6 Getting ego dumper error

    7. using Thrustmaster F1 WHEEL

Can you post a dxdiag please i3 2800K isn't a chip I've ever heard of. K suffix usually applied to i5 or i7 CPUs so it's either not K but there was never an i3 28xx or not i3 and there was no i5 or i7 2800K or otherwise. Either the chip is misdetected or overclocked, neither of which will help you troubleshoot. If the name of the board is not in the dxdiag can you please just add it in the message.

That could make seating position for local play interesting! Would be easiest for of users to be just given a resize able window they could place anywhere or drop onto a second monitor. Lack of rigid window control would cause performance issues though. Be very hard for Codies to test and also guarantee user performance for. 2 consoles in the same room or 2 pcs would be even better. Which could lead to party rooms with the possibility of large groups of people paying for a 2 hour session where they could all team up and race. Be great for parties and work coop sessions.

I think though we are running away with the forward thinking here, we're gonna get one new added feature a year maybe and better be grateful for that!

This is an area I'm confident that Ian Bell and his SMS team would work wonders for.....

I just see this as an area where developing for console holds PC back. But yes, as LAN mode is already present, it's another option.

The other direction is of course that this will be perfectly feasible in hosted gameplay like Google Stadia.

Absolutely and rightfully so too. Split screen, local or remote, coop championship, again local or remote, would be a killer feature both for casuals and serious racers. It would breathe new life into the game and give a major esport boost in interest. After all there is a huge demand and supply of non racing online squad based games. If this could be injected into league play too somehow it would be GAME ON big time. To be able to select first of all your teammate, get synced up then select a league or gp race to join would be fantastic imo.

If they can get this working as a MP feature, yeah the option of playing in MP and having your teammate in split screen, whereas others in the session would be able to choose full screen mode would be great. After all, an online session should just contain the same amount of data exchange, just requires a bit more beef on the processing side for splitscreen. Or a reduction in detail as obviously the resolution drops by half in one dimension. But it's different to processing two displays.

Or, even more killer, team mate in secondary monitor?

I'm sure there will be a full or reduced field of ai to drive against. Hopefully you can both race in the same team and compete against other teams like in real life too.

You can bet this is something they will have decided upon internally. The idea to have a split screen mode was a resurrection of somthing they discontinued possibly because of the missed shipping of next-gen.

However, they may have decided to offer it in the same vein as the F1 2013 implementation. That had AI or no AI.

IDK what it was like in F1 2014, hardly played it other than straight MP.

You can bet people will want this as Championship mode also.
