    Hi Steviejay69

Here is the files i found // Curtan

    hardware_settings_config.xml

Well the monitor is not being run at the wrong resolution, but the V-SYNC should be turned on and the 75Hz option should be selected. Deleting the file before running the game might fix it, but I will upload a fixed one that you should save over the existing one when the game is not running.

Could Not Launch Display Driver Microsoft's Basic Display Driver Is Used Instead, See If There Is A Newer Display Driver On Windows Update

This means the display driver isn't correctly installed. Can you re-run your download (this is the en-US driver as there is no Swedish I can see)

@steviejay69 I did a clean install for driver 442.74 and even so my game did not return to normal. 5 days with the game not working for some reason that only god knows.

    error.thumb.png.29de5cab83f6761aa3ba3a6a928127e1.png

Error 1008:H is not caused by the GPU driver. I was merely commenting on another comment about the benefit of newer beta and WHQL releases (that still cause crashes and game instability).

Reading deeper the 445.75 does have more DX11 problems than other APIs, reading feedback on the Nvidia forums and not just with F1.

For clarity, I advise using DX12 API and DCH drivers for the F1 game (Nvidia are still releasing Standard/DCH variants, AIUI the AMD drivers are all DCH).

@YvoTrimbos It didn't work. I tried to go back to 442.74 and upgraded to 445.87 today, but it still didn't work.

445.87 does not fix what Nvidia broke in 445.75 the game worked with 442.74 and hasn't changed.

Drivers are being readied for WDDM 2.7 (which AFAIK needs 2004 or whatever the final build of the next W10 ends up as).

  4. If you're interested, I have a primary 512GB SSD that holds my games and files. A 750GB SSHD drive is used to hold installers, images and Steam backups, plus File History (when I'm bothered). I have a 2GB 7200 HDD drive to dump videos on that I haven't yet uploaded or decided if I'm going to. Once they're on YT, I delete them but then they don't take up space on the primary (where I record to because it's fastest).

Hmm....so I run "MediaCreationTool" again but this time, I use it to create a bootable media and then boot my PC from this media, yea? Question: in this case, can I take out the HDD, put it into a new PC build and boot this new build using the media and thus install Windows 10 on that new build? Of cos I won't have any OS on the current PC after that. Does it work this way? I'm just toying with the idea of upgrading to a new build but not keen to spend money on another Win10 if I can transfer this one over.

As for my current issue, I most likely would have to live with it as I don't have another HDD to back up my current HDD to. I've always wondered how you tech experts do backups, and what you actually mean when you say backup. I mean, if it's a total backup of all current files, then wouldn't you need HDD space that's equal to what your current files occupy? Or if you use a backup program, you'd still need a 2nd HDD(albeit of a smaller capacity) to hold the compressed files from the original HDD, wouldn't you? Physically, I have only 1 HDD now, partition into "C" and "D" drive. Not much free space left on either partition, 60GB of 149GB on C and 144GB of 764GB on D. How do I perform a backup with this? Can it still be done?

As for the game, as said earlier, the game now runs with Win10. I just can't perform "Flashbacks" on track or play "Replays" after a race. I can select them, I can run them, I can scroll between camera views and different drivers, I can activate "Photo capture",  but I can't FF, RW, or Exit via "ESC". And once it reaches the end of the "film", the game just stays at that screen. Only way to exit is "Ctrl-Alt-Del". Playing "Highlights" work though. I didn't try any of the commands during "Highlights" but at the end, the game will auto-exit and go back to the race end screen. And I also can't skip any of the cinematic scenes before practise, qualifying and race. I have to let it play out. Baffling to me. But at least I can drive and play career mode. Didn't try multiplayer though. I'm not good enough.

No. Your Windows license is for one PC, perhaps even more restrictive if the license is OEM, which means it stays on the one PC. If you bought a retail license then it can be transferred to another PC but must only be activated on one machine at a time. The digital license derived from the key would be invalidated on a second machine if OEM or on the older machine if activated and current on another if retail.

You can upgrade an OEM PC but activation will be prohibited once significant changes to the hardware determine the machine is different. The hashes used to make the digital license are derived from the Product Key SKU, the hardware ID of the computer and a third hash derived from the other two at the point of activation (and subsequent reactivation).

Backup, yes, ideally you will have sufficient capacity on a backup drive to contain an image of your system drive plus shadow copies of the data on your data drives. So, inevitably having a larger backup drive is likely to serve you better than one of an equal capacity or less, depending on the frequency of images (whether full, incremental or differential) plus the number of active copies of the data.

Partition backups are subject to total loss, unless you have two physical drives then your backups will not survive a hardware failure. At least a portion of a secondary drive should be dedicated to backup, but then also any additional data on that drive should be backed up elsewhere. You can restore a corrupt installation or reinstall a partition without deleting the entire drive contents. You can use cloud to back up, you effectively could argue you can recover the Windows environment from a USB stick , provided it's created from the working machine if its created before the machine fails.

The flash back issue is likely to be a mapping conflict although it has to be said this was an observed bug in this and previous versions of the game. Searching the forum may reveal more accurate information.

I have tried these 3 steps but it is not working. The main problem is not menu, but the game crashes when I try to drive. The same crash occurs in F12018 and I receive the error attached.

D3D device removed. If you have a factory overclock on your GPU, remove it.

If you are not overclocking, turn VSYNC ON and cap the framerates.

Yes! However with Project Cars 2:  no problem!

i use broadcast only for test...

yes, my phone is in the scope! my phone:  192.168.1.32 ( xbox: 192.168.1.28 & scope: 192.168.1.5 => 192.168.1.50)  but I can change if necessary.

    Best regards

If the phone IP is in the scope then set the phone IP to auto and use the router to reserve the IP.

Then the phone is inside the routing table. Some routers can be buggy or the lease expires, is reused and then you get an IP conflict, especially with small lease pools and short leases, many different devices connecting, etc.

I personally don't prefer to have different "variations" of the same game. Like last year's game had the 'Legends Edition" and the regular version.

Shouldn't it at least be the same exact game, but either as unlockables or DLC?

Buying the same game for a higher price for four new cars sounds more steep than buying the original game with a DLC containing four cars for like ten dollars (dramatization).

It will be the same exact game with the exact same bugs plus some new ones in the new modes.

my phone is already in static IP 🙂

yes F1 2019 is correctly configured:

for test, I try to send telemetry to my PC IP adress for sniffing network. no UDP packets on port 20777 come from the xbox. same thing using broadcast.

i really think the game is not sending any telemetry data.

or my router drop this type of packets.

    strange! 😕

This is why I recommend setting the phone IP to reserved on the router and leaving the phone set to Auto.

You only use broadcast when you are using more than one telemetry device. Is the static address within the router DHCP scope?

    Any solution to this?

I just need to touch the brake pedal around 1-2mm and you can see there is input in ALL other games and in the Fanatec calibration.

But in F1 2019 i need atleast 20-25% brake input before the ingame brakes start to work.

I am using Fanatec CSL LC pedals connected via USB.

Hope there is a solution because this is Unplayable!

Restart the PC. Look in your Fanatec properties and observe the correct pedal travel.

Start the game, go to your pedals control scheme and remap the (clutch) brake and throttle by depressing fully and releasing. I only have Fanatec pedals direct via USB, not via a wheelbase as I have the T300, so your pedal mappings might be under your Fanatec wheelbase (if you're connecting to pedals via RJ12).

    Then save and play.

  11. @Gianchy74 I have loaded the Weekly Event mode (for the first time ever). I have used the custom settings displayed in all other modes. However, in normal gameplay I use Manual ERS.

This is one setting NOT carried through from other game modes, you can see the ERS is Automatic.

It is a list I am working on of all the game settings that are reset or not, carried through or not between modes. This may explain that whilst you thought manual ERS was set, it is not carried to Weekly Event (at least the first time).

Patch 1.22 and I have the same problems with the G29 in F1 2019 game.

The car is simply uncontrollable. It won't stay still in a straight line, turning is completely horrible, the throttle is too sensible even with the FFB settings, and the car seems to have no traction control at all (even with full traction control option). However, when I go to F1 2018, it is 101% more playable and stable. When I put the same FFB settings in the F1 2018 game, the car responds perfectly, but in the F1 2019 game it's impossible.

Post your settings so they can be replicated.

I have also updated my AMD chipset drivers.

Other basic stuff like verifying the Steam files?

Have you tried removing and reinserting the HDMI cable at both ends (bear with me, but it's a simple check)? Can you connect to another display like a TV?

Can you delete the hardware_settings_config.xml before starting the game?
