in australia i finished first and got 25 points, my friend finished second and got 20 points. all good.
now in bahrain i finished second, but it was listed like i was on last pace, for no reason - no penalty -nothing. the game just didnt count my finish on 2nd place.
normally my friend and i should have now 45 points both. but i just didnt get the 20 points for my second place. its annoying!
please check this bug.
Not sure of the accuracy of this. 18 points is for second place and potentially 1 point to either player if recording the fastest lap.
You should both have at least 43 points and possibly as many as 45.

I have tested for the issue, it's you. 🙂
The highlights reel works and exports to .webm in the 'My Documents\F1 2019\highlights' folder (where you are taken after export). I used VLC for playback - accept no substitute!

I am the next person with 1008H: error.
I've tried opening ports on my router, turning off firewall and antivirus, verifying game files on Steam, connecting pc to my smartphone hotspot, running game as administrator etc. and nothing helped.
I played F1 2019 2 months ago or something (free weekend on Steam) and everything was fine. Yesterday I bought the game and still (after ~24h) can't connect to multiplayer.
#EDIT
My operating system is Windows 8 Pro (same as when the game was working just fine).
Windows 8 users, you can upgrade to Windows 10 for free!
Do an in-place upgrade with the MCT and your machine will get a free digital licence for W10.
To reinstall once you have upgraded you do not need the serial number, just leave the box blank.
If you change the hardware, you can try the Windows 8 key - it should allow you to activate W10 at least as long as W8 is valid. Many W8 era machines have the key inside the UEFI/BIOS so it will be recognized, just go the "I don't have a key" route.
DX12 and more frequent driver releases are the advantages.

I was able to play online with my friend only the first time I launched the game then I always got the error WM10065. I tried to google it but there's absolutely nothing about it.
Can someone help me ?
Thanks in advance!
Error 10065 is a Winsock error (Server unreachable) this means either your connection is down or your NAT type is restricted. Or the server is unreachable.
I suggest you read the following thread for assistance

There is a firmware update for your drive
https://dl.dell.com/FOLDER04839295M/2/Toshiba XG4 non-SED 9VNJH_ZPE.exe
Memtest the next step. USB drive required.
-
Backup then uninstall and reinstall the game. (This forces a reinstall of the dependencies.)
If this does not work, then a reinstallation of Windows 10 would be the best option.
I always recommend a clean reinstall without internet, you should prepare and have your latest drivers on hand before connecting to the internet for anything that you cannot source a download for.

Restarting is what was meant.

There is a UEFI update for 'stability' (nice one ASUS on the transparency there)
The laptop has RGB keyboard effects 😒 uninstall the ROG Live! Service Pack and the Armoury Crate and test without the effects control.
Reinstall only the latest versions if there is no effect or test with the latest if the removal makes it work....there are crashes specifically related to this app/service.
Webcam looks like it's picked up an inbox driver on the latest WU, try a "roll back" on the driver?
It's possible your default temp file location is not set to the default. Are you running partition D: or E: as system?
Consider replacing that HDD with an SSD.

I've not been playing that much but I still think thanks to the couple of past weeks that both 2K and F1 games are fully stabilized. I had no crash at all in any games since I updated BIOS.
Glad to hear it mate, now we just need Codemasters to fix the damn game instead of me focusing on how to fix people's PCs 🙂

The question now is, what does this mean for F1 2020? With Codemasters having little to none IRL data to work with, are we possibly facing a delay. Dont get me wrong here, our health and safety is obviously the main priority, but i was just wondering if my theory could be correct, what do y’all think?
It would be nice if they *could* actually fix F1 2019 because it's still broken.
But what you have not thought about is the revenue stream. Without the F1 'new game' revenues, there may not be a Codemasters.
DLC would seem a way of extending the game's lifecycle. But the only meaningful DLC I can see selling is the updated 2020 cars and calendared tracks. And I understand this is probably not simply a Codemasters decision, but they bought the licence for this year and should be close to signing off the assets.
Unless you think custom helmets, race suits and gloves will fill the shortfall. IDK because I can't see the balance sheet. Are Codemasters a 'Laura Ashley' software house or are they a 'Tesco'?
Maybe this is the opportunity to float the model. Base game fixed (this is a wish) and annual DLC or Season Pass?

Delete the hardware_settings_config.xml and launch the game (DX12)

Are people still reading about the Steam overlay on Steam? Because the thread here has been unpinned.
Are the highlights actually downloadable? I thought they just played in the Highlights Reel (what an un-useful addition that was)?
I'll take a look at the dxdiag later when I've looked at the actual output.

Try to explain it like I’m 5. Maybe that will help 😂
If you disconnect from the internet to remove and then reinstall the drivers you have to have downloaded them first.
Download latest drivers. Disconnect Internet. DDU Intel, don't restart. DDU Nvidia, restart. Install Intel, don't restart. Install Nvidia, restart. Connect Internet.

If you have a spare external drive that can be used for storage (IDK if 64GB Flash or larger external HDD could be used as additional storage and maybe try download to that)?
PS4 housekeeping tips may be useful?
Not sure what is possible/suggestible without a console to try.

There is only forward.
UEFI/ME update. (Due to a bad experience with an Acer flash routine, please unplug all USB devices and remove any SD cards before starting).
Looking at your crashing apps, Steam and Chrome have also crashed as well as F1. Please make sure you are using an Administrator account on the laptop, not a Standard one.
DDU the Nvidia driver and delete the hardware_settings_config.xml
-
IDK what you've posted into that message but quote is broken.
QuoteDDU the drivers? IDK what that means (sorry).
Where can I find the hardware_settings_config.xml to delete it?
DDU (use the *Official Download Here* link to download it after reading the instructions on the linked page).

Yeah, you need to hit the 'Save all Information' button and upload the .txt file here as an attachment.
But I can see if you have the Dell supplied drivers, you are well outdated.
Start (right-click)|System|System Info|Advanced System Settings|Hardware|Device Installation Settings>No
Download the Intel Driver and Nvidia Driver. Disconnect the internet. DDU the drivers.
Start (right-click)|Device Manager|Display Adapters(Right-click each)|Properties|Driver|Uninstall Device Check the 'Delete the driver software for this device' for both adapters.
Restart after each removal.
When both are removed, install the downloads. Restart after both are installed.
Delete the hardware_settings_config.xml, launch the game.

Seriously, upgrade to Windows 10. Problem will be solved easier!
DX12 will work also!

I guarantee you this will be drivers and a lack of updating the UEFI on this laptop. The laptop I expect to run a GTX1050, I think the typo is most likely.

He's updated the OP with the fact that it was verification of files that solved it.
If you could prioritise the 'Known Issues' thread we'd all be a lot happier.
Update PC hardware (BIOS) and software (OS), fix PCARS2 glitch, play as Admin account (or sort the game so it can run as a Standard User), fix the need for files in a Restricted Folder Access hotspot, etc. etc.
The fixes look similar for a lot of threads, it's either better triage or die from repeated exposure to the same issues.

4 hours ago, Bicarda said:Well obviously it was very humiliating that Two F1 drivers had their games crash 😉
Luckily it is a very good game that has had a lot of stability patches that fixes these issues... and gets supported longer than ever!!!!!!
COME ON CODEMASTERS! this was an absolute abysmal display and a very good example of what league racers/organizers have to deal with on a regular basis.I hope having 60.000 people see Lando's game crash live on stream is as embarrassing for you as it should be.. and maybe gets you to finally do something about it?
And it's not like he was playing for hours and eventually, it crashed one time.
The man starts the game and it crashes. requiring a lobby restart..So quick questions from me to @BarryBL
1. Do you agree that this is quite embarrassing or do you feel we have to accept the game can behave this way?
2. If you agree that this is quite embarrassing, what efforts will be made/are being made to fix these issues?I don't think it will make a difference. But the game is Esports ready, if not suitable for common plebs to use it over the internets.
Also, terrible lag before the crash.
Bravo for Veloce Esports to even consider putting it on and to pull in the people they did. Even if some weren't happy at the level of RL drivers taking part.

It's going to be interesting. There are cars built to race (at considerable cost) and no conditions under which racing can be held.
I think it's not inconceivable that the whole season is postponed and 2021 (regulations) delayed until 2022.

Gotta point out that F1 2015 was late and extremely underwhelming. (It even had a cackling F1 2014 throwback enclosed in it's belly.)

UEFI update.
ME driver & ME update.
Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework driver and Serial IO driver, chipset driver.
Plenty to go at there. Your main GPU and audio drivers are OK but I would reinstall them after doing that if it does not work straightaway.
DX12 should be good.
