Well I'm obviously shocked and very upset with what happened to Bianchi, but I'm gonna post a race review as I would do because up until then it was a fantastic Grand Prix. It was definitely right to start the race behind the Safety Car and again, I think right to stop it when they did. Then when they got underway again I felt the SC was out for two or three laps too long. A lot of the drivers were saying it was good to go and some even saying it was good enough for inters (as Button proved). That was great to see Jenson up at the front again, and then from there it was good, with battles throughout the field and some supreme overtakes. I was especially impressed at Vettel's move on Massa I think it was at the hairpin. Fantastic, same with Ricciardo on Massa, incredible, and I was obviously very pleased when Lewis passed Nico for the lead! Then Sutil went off and to be honest, I wasn't surprised the safety car wasn't called out then because with double waved yellows I thought the crane would have been able to get it away pretty swiftly. Then Bianchi slid off obviously and then I was really anxious. All the reports circling around about what may have happened, and I haven't felt like I did since Kovalainen's Spain crash in 2008 and Kubica's Canada crash in 2007. Just a sickly feeling. As Matt said, I think the way the drivers were on the podium was very good, very professional, but I don't know why the champagne music was played. Then it was revealed that he did hit the tractor and he was taken to hospital, and now he has severe head injuries. I hope and pray that he pulls through this, I really hope he can make a full recovery. Felipe Massa said that it was ridiculous to start the race today but I don't agree with him there. It may have been a better decision to start the race earlier on in the day, and they probably should have looking at it now, but the conditions were not absolutely treacherous, as they ran on inters for the majority of the race. Come on Jules.

26/63 for the Simpsons. Appaling. I recognise the faces of pretty much all of them but can't remember over half their names! 43/100 for the words. I'll do the other two soon Nah I'll do the fruits now. I got 28/42 on that.

Well when I woke up at 06:02 this morning, went downstairs and turned on the TV I put on the FP3 show and I always skip through it at 30x speed to get to the action. However, for a split second I saw 'Vettel leaves Red' and I thought, 'no, it's not what I think it is'. So I re-winded and guess what, it was. Vettel leaves Red Bull! I was not expecting that at all. Some of my mates have said they've seen it coming but honestly, I didn't think he'd go, definitely not this season. Incredible. How will he fare alongside Raikkonen next year? Gonna be so interesting. And Alonso, he's gotta be going to McLaren, surely? He's out of Ferrari, Red Bull are confirmed, and Mercedes, and Williams, and no where else would be good for him, so yeah, he's definitely off to McLaren. And that would probably put Button out of there, so where would he go? And then Kvyat in at Red Bull! That could be a fantastic team if he has what it takes, but I feel very sorry for Vergne, again being overlooked for the Red Bull seat. I can't see Toro Rosso keeping him at Toro Rosso for another year either, and to be honest, why would he? It's pretty obvious if another Red Bull seat comes available in 2015/2016 then Verstappen will get it. I can see Sainz going to Toro Rosso now, as he should be after a great season in F3.5.

It's gonna be so interesting to see what the consequences of the typhoon will have. If it doesn't effect the race, what about all the flights and getting everything out to Russia? FP1 is on in less than a week! Gonna be very interesting to see how this all develops.

Damn you Pete, DAMN YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU! Haha, I got to 82 I think and I checked the leaderboard and saw you had 84, so I sat for about 5 minutes thinking of what some more answers may be :p

Great show, and lifetime achievement award?! Wow. Oh btw Ron, do you have a girlfriend?
-
Only 51/197 on the flags :p

On the F1 quiz I got 85/100, no help either! Forgot some obvious answers though looking through the answers.

I will get up early for the race, but Qualifying, probably not. Practice, I can watch that at school during a free period.

That would make a great article for sniffpetrol.com!!

2 observations (flashback+steering assist)
MBKF1 replied to Warlord9883's topic in General Discussion
The game looks decent, but why is the McLaren so dark at Singapore? -
You lied to us!
-
Ιt worked well the last time you said it, didn't? ;) And the time before! In fact, each time I've said that (Italy and Singapore) he's won!!
-
I'm pretty sure it's because they can get the game out on the same weekend as the Japanese GP. Really not sure why we can't have it at the same time though.

I really like this circuit, and driving it on the game it's probably in my top 3. I love the feeling when you get the first sector of esses just right, with high speed, left right, then the degners are awesome. Spoon curve, oh yes. I love it. Come on Lewis!

Designers/Artists show off your work!
MBKF1 replied to garyjpaterson's topic in Off-topic Discussion
Great thread! I think this should be used for anyone to show off any art they've done. We used to have something like this on the old forum and some of the stuff was awesome! I'll try and get some images of my recent stuff together soon for you all to see. -
Yeah, I went yesterday and had a go. I went to EGX with this as the game I couldn't wait to play, but I left slightly disappointed. Not at the game really but what was on offer. There were just two tracks on offer, Silverstone and Dubai Autodrome, and only about 3 cars I think? Really stupid considering the mountain of cars and tracks that are on the game! I only got to try the game out on a pad, but the handling of an LMP1 style car was poor. Very light steering, just not what you would expect. The other car was better, an Aston Martin GT car. The graphics were stunning though, and I played it on a PC eventually running about 60fps I think? Really impressive, with great weather and sound, and in the low sunlight it's very good. The HUD is great, and you can change what you see in game by pressing a button which is great. So you can go from nothing to everything pretty much! They have a great driver cam view too, which leans into corners, really good. Didn't manage to try it on a wheel (there was one stand) as the queue was stupidly long, but apparently it was much better there. I was slightly disappointed though. Why couldn't we play all those cars and tracks. GT6 last year, you could drive about 25 cars on about 12 tracks so I spent hours there. Here, probably 20 minutes? Honestly, LBP3 was my favourite game from the day...

I went to EGX yesterday and queued for 45 mins to play this game with a mate. So here is my short and not well written review. I had no idea what to do when I started. I had a gun and I could run, then there were these monsters and I shot them but I was smashed by them about 10 times in the space of 7 minutes. I was on a team I think but I wasn't any help so sorry to my team mates. But the graphics were fantastic, sound again, great, and with the headphones on full blast, sometimes quite scary! A great game, but I had no idea.

What a crazy crash. Must have felt like an eternity for Collard as that whole thing lasted about 8 or 9 seconds, and he probably was thinking cars would pile into him, and then ending up on the roof. Scary stuff.

I do laugh at a lot of these 'facts'. If they're so sure on Alonso to McLaren then why aren't they doing all they can to spread the word to the journos, getting their name there as the people who discovered the move was happening. Where do they get their sources from? I don't believe anything I've read until it pops up on Autosport.com

Quite spiffing to be honest, beautiful day.
