It takes 3 seconds to load your set up from when you select load so whats the problem that's if you have a set up saved ofcourse ... Fuel strategy, tyre strategy. The other day I took a good minute and a half working out my tyre strategy before I said I was ready.

This is a great point. In our league races we ask all drivers to say in the race chat room that they are ready. Only when all the drivers are ready can the race director start the race. Fortunately our drivers are all good and they accept this. If this option could be in custom lobbies then that would be a real benefit to racing leagues.

Fernando Alonso amazes me, how is he running in the top 3? Raikkonen is being made to look awful this year by Alonso. Incredible driver.

I really like the look and sound of this so far. The sounds are great for a first game, and it looks good too. Although I think that car was really going too fast for intermediate conditions, like on some of the exits of corners you could just floor the throttle, which I think shouldn't happen.

Have you got a pic of Horner's facial hair? And do remember this time last year Seb went blonde! Antena3 aren't showing practice, so I'm keeping up via Twitter and Autosport.com :p The Chilton/Rossi thing is a tad odd. He 'voluntarily' gave up his seat and now he's voluntarily taking it back? Weird.

Yeah, exactly the same with the Vettel thing. As soon as he came into the first part of the chicane I thought, he looks slow, and then when it was blatantly obvious, they got it. In qualifying at Silverstone this year at the very end, Hulkenberg went pole for about 10 seconds before a Vettel beat it, and I saw straight away that Hulkenberg took it, yet the commentators only saw it as Vettel crossed the line. Yes there was a lot happening, but still

@Tommig, have a great time man, you'll so enjoy it, just as long as Greenpeace don't put on their stupid protest again. Gonna be watching on Antena3 in Spain this weekend, so looking forward to the race. Will be interesting to see how Lottery gets on in his first F1 race too.

Sorry I haven't updated the first post in ages guys. I will do it at some point soon, but the WiFi here is so bad it will take me a year.

Does anyone watch F1 and notice things that the commentators don't? I often will watch a session or a race and a commentator (usually Crofty) will say something whih is wrong, or he'll fail to notice it. It annoys me so much that I can notice these, yet the commentators don't.

Yeah, I bought the magazine and read it on the plane. It looked awesome, didn't it? The crop of drivers they had were really top notch, and the tracks too, fantastic. If they showed it on free TV here I'd sure be watching every IndyCar race, it looks so good.

^^ This is what I mean by cringeworthy :p But it's exciting! F1 is exciting and that's why I watch it. Having commentary like that will make casual viewers more excited too!

James Allen is awesome! I remember the start of a Monaco GP in something like 2003 and he was shouting 'Are you ready, are you ready, ARE YOU READY? ......................... GOOOOOOOOOOO!' That's what I want again.

The reason that F1 2010 worked for me is because it was immersive. The live the life bit in the paddock menus and interviews worked so well, and you felt like you were the driver. The games since then haven't had that same great feel.

Radio commentary is so much better. As a listener you have to trust what they're saying is true, but if you are watching then you can make your own judgements. Like in tennis, on TV they'll say something like "Federer to serve", then the rally will happen with no commentary and then at the end they'll say "good stuff there from Roger, he played very well to earn that point". Meanwhile on radio "So it's the fifth set, fourth game, 30-15 to Federer and here he is with the serve, great serve making Djokovic work hard, a good return though by Djokovic. Federer plays the forehand followed by a superb backhand from Djokovic. Federer just gets it back and he's gone high, Djokovic smashes it across the net but Roger hits it over and steals the point. Beautiful play from both of them there, incredible here at Wimbledon. It's the same for F1 sometimes.

Honestly, to live a long and healthy life. The last year I've lost at least three people due to cancer, one just 40 years old, one 65 and one 80. One of my best mates lost their quite healthy Dad suddenly due to a heart attack a couple of months ago and he was just 45 years old, younger than my mum and dad. It made me think, I'm really not safe and it made me think 'that could happen to me'. So I want to live long.
