    Voice commands

GRID Autosport uses the four directional buttons for stuff like that, such as car damage, gap to the car behind, team mate status, etc. Maybe on future games there should be another option on top of tyres, fuel map and the other one (it's slipped my mind), and that extra option can be that.

    New Forums - Feedback thread

Typing on the forums on my iPad today is painfully slow. The words are about three seconds behind when I actually type them out. This also means that there are some double spaces in places, so I 'm having to go back and edit them, and it's also putting in random full stops! Also, I like to use my Apple Wireless Keyboard with the iPad, but I cannot type capital I, B or U without the forum changing my text to either italics, bold or underlined. It's a tad annoying and if this could be fixed, that would be sweet

    And if you blow it.......???

i may have missed something here, but do you have the option to change the assists before you complete the one lap race?  i would like to be able to turn off TC and the dynamic racing line, and not having the chance to do so could possibly effect my driver evaluation ranking.
  7. I know I'm not Hatta, but I think I can hazard a pretty good guess at this answer. I would say the answer will probably be no. They've had five years to get the official FOM graphics in the games, and every year they've chosen their own. I think this is probably because their own one can be tailored to how they want it, and I don't know, maybe they don't have as much freedom if they used the one you see on TV.

    F1 2014 Game Q&A Thread

I think that it was Steve who mentioned it in a tweet last week. I can't be arsed to go back through though to find it.  All the answers in the first post are from reliable sources, so that means either Steve Hood, Luke Spring, Lee Mather, Formula 1 Game on Twitter or Codemasters on Twitter.

    F1 2014 Game Q&A Thread

Not a massive thing, but today it has been revealed that the run off at Parabolica, Monza (final corner) has been turned into a tarmac run-off instead of gravel.  Do you think this will be changed in time for the new F1 2014 game?

    Question of the Day Thread

I want to ask another question if I may... QOTD: 7th August - What are your bank account details? What do you think are your top 5 most viewed websites? For me they are: - Facebook (2nd) - Twitter (3rd) - Codemasters Forums (1st) - VRL (4th) - Pinterest (5th)

Get the URL of the image (should end in something like .jpg for example) and click on the file icon on the comment box. Simply paste the URL into where it says, and it should post it.

    F1 2014 Game Q&A Thread

For me, I always like the details in the games to be as close to real life as possible, such as the track details (sausage kerbs, kerbs, run-offs, etc) and I can see how big a deal the steering wheel 'issue' is for you, but is it really that big a deal? I assume the current wheel for the Williams has the LED display on the top of the steering wheel, and I know in real life that LED display is on the front of the cockpit. Does it really make that big a difference to your experience of the game? It's the same display, it's just in a slightly different position, with a difference of what, 15cm?  I'd be more worried about whether there have been changes made to the track surfaces and run-offs. For instance, are the kerbs at Monaco updated, has the run-off at Canada been changed to tarmac, has the long sausage kerb on the exit of the final chicane been put in? They effect your race experience, but the positioning of the steering wheel display, not for me.

    Question of the Day Thread

That's a good thing in my opinion. If you go around saying "oh this'll be great" all the time, you're going to be disappointed most of the time. Using your hotel example, you were probably thrilled that the hotel turned out to be great unless you were beating yourself up over the fact that you pre-judged something. If it did turn out crap, you can take pleasure in the fact that you were right!  Always try to be skeptical (but not cynical). There's nothing wrong with prejudice. That's a really good point actually. You 're right, I was thrilled that the hotel turned out to be great. I think it's okay to be judgemental sometimes, I just wish I was more open with things.  Although, I think first impressions mean a lot. With the hotel, I thought it looked a bit naff because the paint was a bit thin in places on the walls, the lights in the letters of the sign were out in places, there was a bit of an odd smell. If the hotel had fully working lights, a nice smell, nicely painted walls, plus some other improvements then I think I would have been pretty impressed from the off.

Which is the best F1 game so far?

OMG, yes!!! I haven't thought about that game in ages, incredible! I played that when I was about 5 years old on the PC!

    Question of the Day Thread

For me, I'm guilty of this to an extent, but it's being too judgemental. Often I will look at something for five seconds and within that time, my mind will have made a decision on what that thing is going to be like. Often I'll look at something in a negative light and it will turn out to be great. I wish I could have a completely open mind sometimes. For example, the hotel I stayed at with my music tour, when I first saw it I thought 'hmm, this looks a bit naff, a lot of this looks really tacky'. It turned out to be a great hotel.

    Pick a team....any team!!

I also think it's a good idea. I don't always want to start at a lower team and take three seasons to get to the top, because I just don't have the time. I think now I'd probably start at somewhere like Force India and then I'd maybe go to Williams and Mercedes.
  20. I loved the dev diaries. I really don't know why they stopped them. Also in F1 2011 they had that 'Call for Questions' thing and some people in the game community got the chance to play F1 2011 early, and they featured in the dev diary! Something like that would be fantastic for future games.

    F1 2014 Game Q&A Thread

Again, I have updated the first post with more answers to questions. I have another question, why has a formation lap not been included in F1 2014, despite a seemingly large request by the community?

    The Game Thread!

I loved that game too. It's been so long since I played it though. I actually tried to find it the other week but I don't know where it is. Maybe I stupidly sold it. But yeah, I just love the fact there are so many real world race tracks, and loads of cars, great career mode. Why can't the new GRID games have that many tracks. It would be awesome.
