Great race! Not sure how many of you watched it but the battle for 1st place with a couple of hours to go was great. Some quality overtakes and Le Mans should be epic.

Yeah it's really odd. As I speak, the most recent thread in off-topic is in the Official Football Thread, but it says The Stuff Thread on the categories list. -
@Mike96 Yeah I've been getting the same problem, it's really annoying :/ -
The race is tomorrow? But a great job by the Porsche's, they're looking really good this season. -
I have a Logitech Driving Force GT, had it for four and a half years now. I'm not sure whether DiRT Rally officially supports it though. I played Gran Turismo 6 on the Thrustmaster T500RS and it was outstanding, so I'd love that!Synck said:
You better! Don't forget to buy some high end wheel, pedals and shifter ;DPeteTheDuck said:Ok I need to desperately sort myself out with some gaming PC. I have no idea what specs are the best but I'll do some research because I HAVE TO PLAY THIS GAME!
Also is there anyone else having trouble with the hairpins. Sometimes I feel that I can barely get around them. Anyone that has any tips or advice? (running a g27 setup)
And thanks for the tip @RWBSUPERCHARGER I'll take a closer read of that very soon! -
This is a cool quiz on how well you recognise racing games!

I'm not going to close this thread, I don't like doing that. All I ask is this bickering stops and we just have good debates on the original topic. :)
If it doesn't stop then warnings may be handed out. -
A few recent bits and bobs...

You've seen these before but I'll share them again.

Ugh sorry that he's falsely claiming, it's so unfair on the innocent party.
My mum had an accident in my car a few months ago, completely the other person's fault and they started hurling abuse at my mum blaming her for what happened.
Obviously in an accident you have to exchange details, and she refused and drove off. Anyway, when we told the police her number plate it turns out she wasn't insured and her family have apparently been known to the police for a while...
But anyway, it's just so unnecessary, there's some right scum on this planet. -
Happy birthday fella! -
Yeah I'm not sure why it's been moved to off-topic either?! I think this probably now belongs in the Motorsport Discussion forum as the conversation topic is now on DRS and F1 itself and not the game.
I'll give my opinion on DRS soon... :p -
Thanks bud, it's just because this is an English speaking forum. :)
Best of luck with your league though!

Eh? I said 'preferably NOT a hotlap'! I agree it doesn't reveal much about the game. I'm just saying for now I would be pleased with a short 30 second teaser. In the coming weeks I would prefer longer in depth looks at the game, as you say.Zombie said:
I never disagreed with someone so much before. 30 second hot lap video? really? that would show us nothing!. are codies really taking this game to crap? I mean... its like they do not even care anymore....PeteTheDuck said:I'd personally like to see some video gameplay, and preferably not a hotlap! Even if it's a short 30 teaser video, that would be so good.
Dev diaries too would be really good, I think they were really popular back for F1 2010 and F1 2011 so they'd definitely be a welcome return.
DEV diaries with "in depth" look at the mechanics of the game... improvements on current features and newly implemented features. THAT is how it should be done. -
Oh yeah I didn't like the American 'dude' in DiRT 3. You're not my 'amigo'! :p -
Joint 2nd place in that round, not bad!
Unlike my team mate, bringing up the rear, wahey! -
We're more than happy for you to talk about your league, but please can you post in English in the future? @NRL204 -
I didn't manage to watch the RX yesterday, I'll watch it tonight if possible but I've got mountains and mountains of work to do :/ -
Well the new DiRT game seems like it's going to be purely rally which is definitely a good thing! The early-access route should be good for the developers too. It'll be good to have the feedback before releasing it as a full blown game.
And Rallycross will eventually come to the game too!
I wish I had the PC to buy it and play it already! Maybe I should consider buying myself a new gaming PC instead of a PS4? My mate has done that and he loves it, soo what do you think? -

Kris Meeke has won the Argentinian Rally, and has become the first British driver to win a rally in over 13 years! -
If we could keep the discussion on the topic of F1 then that would be appreciated please! You can freely discuss football in our off-topic forum.I haven't really given a personal opinion on the Pro Season mode and the lack of a career mode, but I think I might as well now.The Pro Season mode sounds great, and I'm looking forward to completing some races (if I buy a PS4!) in that full simulation style, 100%, no HUD, no assists. Should be fun. However, I still love the career mode aspects to games. I feel there's a goal in career modes to reach the top levels, and I think that's possibly gone for this game? I'm not sure whether the Pro Season works like that, but we'll soon find out.But yeah, I'm honestly really surprised and slightly disappointed at the lack of a true career mode. I've said it before and I'll say it again, but F1 2010 was my favourite game in the Codemasters F1 series, primarily for it's player immersion. The slogan for the game was 'Be the driver, live the life', and I felt like it was me in the game. Being in your motorhome, doing the press interviews, the engineer and agent calling you by your name. I did five seasons of career and this immersion is what kept me playing so much. In all the games since I've only done about 5 races of one season? I've done none in 2014, I just stick to quick races.Player immersion is really important in a game, and I don't think I'll feel that same immersion if you're playing as a driver.I'm sure there's other reasons for not including career mode, not just because of the broadcast style presentation, and I'll make a proper decision after I've played the game. But I sure hope career mode makes a return for F1 2016, with the player immersion, like F1 2010 had. I'm sure many members here will echo these thoughts. -
Aah yes, you're right actually, well remembered!VetteIfan said:I remember reading a while back (and I'm talking 7 years ago, so someone please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) in Lewis' book - "My Story" - that the main reason he first decided to move abroad is he got so big in the UK so fast that he basically couldn't move without being flanked by journalists and paparazzi from all angles. This also translated to all his friend and family members, so they couldn't go out without being photographed or having a news story written about them as well. He cited that he had to make the move abroad for these reasons.
Sure, he won't be complaining about having no tax to pay. But to say that's the only reason behind him moving abroad is unfair, given this information. -
Codemasters definitely do monitor the forums, but as there are so many threads on this forum, it's just not possible to reply to each individual problem.
If you send an Email to custserv@codemasters.com then they will hopefully be able to help you with your problem.

Great news with the royal baby of course, but flippin heck Sky News were ridiculous with their analysis today. When Prince George got out the car and waved as he went in the hospital, Sky News proceeded to replay that clip at least 5 times within 10 minutes and they had some 'expert' analysing how he waved, and how it was similar to previous royals. How he was 'reaching out for his daddy', and the procedures they would've gone through in him meeting the new baby. How the mother should focus on George first and then let him be with the baby, without mum, while Dad takes photographs.
I mean seriously, who cares?
