Yep, I'll put one up hopefully at the weekend and I'll be adding to it whenever I can. I've got a ridiculous amount of coursework due in tomorrow so I've not had the chance to read the announcement in detail/read all the posts on the forum today, but I'll have more time soon.mmpaw37 said:Right @PeteTheDuck, any chance for the sticky thread...

Yeah I'll close this thread as we already have a main ideas/improvements thread going @Haydn :) But please do feel free to post your ideas in that other thread!

Yeah I know and as it happens, Chris pointed that out to me on Twitter as well! :p I've been to the BTCC a few times and had an awesome time, but RX is completely different and I'd love to go and see it first hand. There's loads of short and snappy races, the track at Lydden Hill is short so you can probably see all the cars all the time. Just something different.RevolvingPrawn said:
BTCC tickets are very similar in price ;)PeteTheDuck said:I was talking about it on Twitter, but I thought to myself earlier: I need to go and watch some live motor sport this year!
I had a think about what I could perhaps go and see that wasn't too expensive, and I thought of World RallyCross at Lydden Hill! Had a look at their tickets online and it's £25 for general admission on the Sunday, and maybe £35 if I want a grandstand seat. I've really gotten into RallyCross the last year or so, so I'm really considering buying a ticket. -

I'm simply doing it because I love posting and reading these forums! I've been a member here since September 2010 so I know exactly how they work, all the rules, etc. I've always wanted to be a moderator here and when the opportunity arose to possibly become a community moderator, I was lucky enough to be recommended by a few other members, along with @fIsince08!mmpaw37 said:PeteTheDuck said:
Yeah @mmpaw37, if you do that then I'll get a notification.LiteralZero said:

Yep, I'm sure it is too! That's so awesome that we can tell where a car is parked on a track just from looking at barrier and grandstand placements! :palexbishop44 said:Also i think that is parked on the outside of Turn 1 of Canada with the large detailed grandtanads behind the car. Lolks good as i said! Dont think @justbiglee can say this is a a painting of project cars photoshopped
Great stuff eh!...It goes along way when you can tell which circuit it is with basically a limited view!.By the way PeteTheDuck, is there a way we can attract your attention other than sending you a PM?, would be good if it was like @justbiglee etc.
But by the way, I'm simply a moderator for the forum. I don't work for Codemasters, I'm just a fan of their games like everyone else, so I don't know any more on game development than you do! But yeah, I'm sure the visuals will look awesome this year being on the new more powerful consoles.
Oh right @PeteTheDuck...How does that work then if you're not on their payroll?...sort of freelance if you will...?Interested to know...

Looking at the drivers for this season, again in no particular order, I'd go for:Juice29 said:Also who do you think will win at least 1 race this year
- Vandoorne
- Lynn
- Gasly
- Evans
- Marciello
- Sirotkin -

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if all three of the guys from Top Gear go and do a new show, just like Top Gear, on another channel. Maybe somewhere like Sky? Those three work so well together, all the TV stations will want to snap them up no doubt. -
It's hard to say who the champion will be, there's some serious talent out there this year.
However, I think it will probably be one of these 3, who I think will probably be the strongest drivers on the grid this year (in no particular order):
- Vandoorne
- Lynn
- Gasly
I'm not too disappointed that there'll be DRS this year. It's worked well in Formula 1 so why not try it out in GP2?
Also I wonder who will be the lead commentator this year for GP2 and GP3 as Will Buxton said he wouldn't be continuing this season. -

Wow, Top Gear will never be the same again. I think that what he did was completely out of order though and I'm not surprised at the decision to be honest.
Rowan Atkinson would be a good presenter! Loves cars, funny, etc. -
I made a thread similar to this last year, so I'm going to use this thread to talk about changes to the circuits, from F1 2014 to real life this season. I'll also post side by side images of F1 2014 and real life this season to make it easier to follow.
Some of these things are really small and they include branding placements, service roads, etc, but some are important such as kerbs. If any of you spot any other changes then be sure to post about it too!
Melbourne, Australia
When referring to corner numbers, I am using them as seen on this track map.
1 - T3: The inside kerb is now yellow and green, without ‘UBS’ branding as in F1 2014.
2 - Entry to T5: There is now ‘Pirelli’ branding all the way along the outside wall.
3 - T5: There’s a little white service road just after the apex of the corner.
4 - T6: The inside kerb is now completely yellow and green, without ‘UBS’ branding as in F1 2014. Also, the inside wall has ‘Pirelli’ branding all the way along it, while it is blank in F1 2014.
5 - T8: There is brief ‘Fly Emirates’ branding on the outside wall just before the ‘Pirelli’ bridge, but it was all ‘Pirelli’ branding in F1 2014.
6 - Entry to T9: There are three ‘Fly Emirates’ boards on the inside of the run up to T9, while there was nothing before in F1 2014.
7 - T9: There’s a small yellow sausage kerb on the apex, and the inside kerb is now yellow and green, without ‘UBS’ branding as in F1 2014. (Also, all previous ‘UBS’ branding on the edges of the circuit are now ‘Fly Emirates’, including the bridge just after T10).
8 - Long right hander after T10: The inside wall now has ‘Melbourne’ branding and not ‘UBS’ as in F1 2014.
9 - Entry to T11: The bridge is now ‘Melbourne’ and not ‘Pirelli’, and the outside wall has ‘Melbourne’ branding.
10 - T11: There is ‘Qantas’ branding on the inside wall of the corner which also continues around that wall, and not ‘UBS’.
11 - T12: The inside kerb is now yellow and green, without ‘UBS’ branding, and there is a green strip on the inside of that too which clearly defines the corner.
12 - T13: There is ‘Melbourne’ branding on the inside wall and not ‘Qantas’.
13 - T13: The inside kerb is now yellow and green, without ‘UBS’ branding as in F1 2014.
14 - There’s also the odd occasion on the lap where there was a white concrete wall. All of them are green now.

Unfortunately I seem to remember the Malaysian GP is always a bit of a borefest too! 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2014, they were all dull in my opinion.VetteIfan said:Its a great track, but I've already got a feeling the race will be a borefest. The forecast is for scattered thunderstorms on Sunday, but that's the forecast for pretty much every day in Malaysia so it just depends on when and not if it hits.
I'll go out on a limb and predict a Merc win.
However, remember a load of us answered 20 questions before the season with some predictions? Well for question 18, the most entertaining race, I chose Malaysia!
18. What will be the most entertaining race of the year?
Malaysia, cos why not
Don't let me down Sepang!

In response to this, I am thinking about creating one of these Sticky/Announcement threads where I update the first post with any new information and developments on the new F1 game, once it is officially announced/unveiled. People will all be able to contribute with sources taken from blog posts, or Tweets from developers, or images/videos, and posts by developers on the forums, etc.mmpaw37 said:...one good star would be to create a sticky thread with upcoming news/developments.
At least we as forum members wouldn't have to scan through threads looking for any information...

Well, firstly you started up a thread a week ago about possible live streaming as Lee bought a new device. So that could be one method. Also another member asked about dev diaries for example.mmpaw37 said:PeteTheDuck said:
I think that Lee is doing a fabulous job when you consider the fact he isn't able to actually reveal anything about F1 2015 yet. As he's said before, he is desperate to start talking about the new game and he's hinted at some awesome new ideas for how to publicise the game, which I'm personally really looking forward to. There's been similar suggestions cropping up from lots of people which he's clearly aware of, so it'll be great when he can start to talk about it.mmpaw37 said:justbiglee said:
Assume nothing, wait for the facts ;)mmpaw37 said:justbiglee said:We don't really work that way anymore. To my knowledge we're treating all platforms equally and we've test kits for both consoles, if one was the "lead" we'd only have to spend time catching the others up. Obviously each platform has it's differences and we're doing things like making sure the rumble in the triggers works on the Xbox and "the little speaker in the pad on the PlayStation does stuff" but other than that they'll all be the same game.WOW!, @justbiglee...Was that a little reveal...? ;).I can only assume that's for the little 'beep' for DRS etc, am I right...?
(By the way, I own a PS4 also)
No problem @justbiglee.I will say this though @justbiglee, at least it's nice to see excitement building for it, which unfortunately isn't happening for 'F1 2015'...One can get very bored with all this 'ZERO' talk!
Also, and you may not be aware of this as you don't post in the DiRT section, but I think he is doing a great job with the DiRT side of things too. It's been a few years now since the last DiRT game and again, he's unable to discuss the new game, but the fact he's able to keep up a lot of hype around the new DiRT game is really impressive.I've been told to kerb my frustrations so...
But as a civilized forum member, I ask this if I am permitted... Q. You have stated that @justbiglee has 'ideas' to publicise the game, what does this mean exactly?
We have a few ideas ourselves, however the 'replies' always seem to include the phrase 'Soon'...
Also, he was asking for ideas a couple of weeks ago on Twitter of how people would like to see future titles publicised. In the DiRTy Gossip Thread he said this, and I'm pretty sure this plan he mentions includes some of these ideas:
'Wednesday I showed my great big new Codemasters plan to the heads of studio (last week was the heads of the company/brand) - they really like it which was awesome. Next week I'm hoping to show it to the devs then the week after actually start doing it! Woo!'
I know nothing's been confirmed but they're all possibilities. -
Those cars desperately need some wheel tethers! -

I'm finally starting to feel like Spring is on the way! Pure sunshine all day, decent temperature, and the clocks are going forward this weekend so we get another hour in the evening to enjoy!
And the ice cream van is back out in the village again! -
I can't see what you're talking about tbh!
Annyywaaayy! Really hoping for a tad of rain this weekend in the race. I love a wet grand prix, they're always the best.
Edit: Aaah, I see it now. -
History coursework can do one. It's so time consuming... -
I just edited the posts for you @RevLimitGaming so your links now work properly. :) -
