I've never flown Ryan Air before, usually go easyJet, but a couple of years ago there was this lady who really kicked off because he reclined his seat and he was sitting in front of her. He did nothing wrong and she went off on one hell of a rant, and the cabin crew politely asked her to shut otherwise they'd go back and kick her off the plane!Hughesy said:
Shows going on a Ryan Air flight can be fun hehe o:) At the time I didn't really think about it as I wanted to enjoy my holiday with my brother, but I often now think about it. He seemed like a nice bloke, as most of the time I get treated like shit by strangers (like a lot of people with a disability) but he was so nice. Maybe he was buttering me up to become a drug runner lol who knows... Wouldn't be very good though as every airport has wanted to check my crutches.PeteTheDuck said:
That's a very weird story! I wonder what happened in the end to him. That sounds so dodgy. I go to the Costa Del Sol every year but I've never experienced anything like that!Hughesy said:Here's a story I forgot to tell you lot about when I went to the Costa Del Sol with my brother. We were at the front of the plane as I needed more leg room. Some oldish guy sat next to me (must've been 50) Anyway he talked to me for the whole flight. He had a dodgy London accent, he seemed like a nice bloke though. He told me he goes to the Costa Del Sol every few weeks as his mate owns a bar(which was near where we were staying) He helped me get my bag when the flight ended, but then told me to not let a load of people past me before passport checkin.
I didn't know why at the time and still don't really. Anyway when I got near it (it was a long room) I could see him getting led away by police, and at that point my brother and I checked out bags incase he planted something in them (he didn't)..... So whatever he was upto it was dodgy lol what do you think he did then? I thought some sort of drug kingpin as he had big gold rings and looked expensively dressed, yet was on a cheap Ryan Air flight. We also saw police at the bar he told us about :o
Didn't really think anything else of it after that, but wished I picked up a paper to see if there was anything wrote about it. I'm always seeing on the news drug kingpins getting busted at the Costa Del Sol lol
What part of the Costa Del Sol do you normally go to, or do you go to different places? I had great fun even though it was the first time I hadn't drank alcohol on holiday.
Atleast I remembered it as the holiday before in Prague (again with my brother) I didn't remember much lol apart from a black guy asking us if we wanted some juicy juicy..... :o
We go to Marbella every year. It's so lovely there but I feel sorry for the place because in the last few years I feel it's got a knocked reputation, somewhere where young Brits go on a booze cruise, like Magaluf or whatever. And Piers Morgan did a show on the place a couple of years ago and a lot of it was focused on the crime there, saying you can be on the beach whilst a gun fight is happening a hundred metres away in the streets.
Well that's absolutely not right. Yes, you may get those bars with crazy Brits and you may get the occasional crime, but 99% of the place is beautiful and not like the stereotypes. Gorgeous weather, great locations, real laid back feel, I love it there. -

Yeah, exactly the same for me. It's fine using it on my iPad running Chrome, but not on the PC.RevolvingPrawn said:I didn't have it come up using Chrome on my phone or tablet, but whenever I tried it on my PC this morning and early afternoon it came up. -
Did anyone here get a malware warning screen when trying to view threads here? I use Chrome by the way. -
With an eight team grid of three cars next year, I think Palmer might fit in well at Lotus perhaps, alongside Maldonado and maybe Gutierrez if I go with these choices:
Mercedes: Hamilton, Rosberg, AlonsoRed Bull: Ricciardo, Kvyat, VergneWilliams: Bottas, Massa, NasrFerrari: Raikkonen, Vettel, GrosjeanMcLaren: Button, Magnussen, VandoorneForce India: Hulkenberg, Perez, JuncadellaToro Rosso: Verstappen, Sainz, LynnLotus: Maldonado, Gutierrez, Palmer
If that happened then there would be seven rookies on the grid, and the average age of the grid 26 years old, with half of the drivers at the age of 24 or under. -
YeaH they are. It's odd how they've tested a lot of drivers this year really, and the last two they tested, Fong and Nissany, I've never ever heard of before and they are surely there just because they have the dosh. Sauber look like a sinking ship too.Jiggy said:Isn't Sauber also in trouble? They might be next. -
I think the DiRT Showdown style logo was odd considering the actual logo was released and is completely different. Maybe it was just done so they could post it on the DiRT social channels? -
On reflection I think I do always mention him, haha :p But that's a real good point you've made there actually, but drivers change so often in F1 who knows where everyone will be come 2016/2017.VetteIfan said:
I swear you mention your Dad's love for Audi every time they are mentioned haha. Not a criticism, just an observation :P If they did happen to join though you'd have a bit of a conflict of interest as you're favourite driver will be driving for what would be Audi's arch rival team.PeteTheDuck said:I'd really like this to happen as I've always loved Audi's (probably through Dad!), and if they make their own engines too, which I guess they probably will, then we'd have five engine manufacturers on the grid which is fantastic. I think it's really helped this year that Mercedes have won the championship. It shows that a car manufacturer can come into F1 and win, so that would be great to get some more manufacturers in.
The report says they might buy an existing team and work with what they have? Toro Rosso actually seems like quite a logical choice. Red Bull seem to have very close links to Audi through the DTM, and I guess Red Bull could still use Audi as a training ground for their younger drivers?
But anyway, enough if's and but's for one day. There's a lot of presumptions in that report that need to be confirmed before I'll take it seriously tbh. Despite the fact Volkswagon are calling the shots in that operation, I can't see Audi moving on from WEC as easily and free willingly as is stated in that report. Not with the amount of success they've achieved in it.
I get what you mean about finding it hard to see Audi moving on from WEC. As you say, they've dominated the sport for the last 13 years or so, and it would seem a bit silly to pull out whilst still having this success. -
No idea how you came to that conclusion! Look, the Micra is a stunning piece of design, and in fact, I'm just configuring one on the Nissan website that I'm gonna buy.jordieDAFC said:

EDIT: Hang on, are Nissan taking the piss? They've not got pink as an option on the latest model!!!

I'm gonna make a more detailed post later, but for now...
Formation laps. They are so important in Formula 1, they will surely have to be in the game in its' sixth edition. -

I played some DiRT 3 earlier, don't ask me why, but Gymkhana is so much fun!! And the rallycross is great too. I can't wait for the next DiRT game, it had better be good. -
God I love the Micra!

I don't want to get too far ahead of myself, Audi would reportedly have to give up DTM and more importantly the WEC to apparently make this happen. But Volkswagon are apparently the ones calling the shots as Audi's parent brand. Makes sense to have a team representing their division in F1, and then leave the WEC to Porsche (of course also owned by Volkswagon).

Well to be honest, yes.mike96 said:I used to play football (soccer @onetwothree :p ) but now basketball is my sport.

Russell Howard is awesome, loved the show tonight.
Funnily enough my best sport at school was high jump, again, about top 5 in my class. I'm tall now but back then I was tiny so yeah, odd -

That seems pretty sensible. I remember Fernandes was saying something like he was aiming for points in 2011 and then 2012, but that obviously never happened. Haas seems to be being pretty realistic about his chances. -
Some of these gifs are just awesome, I'd love to animate something like this.

A short and relatively easy logo quiz:

That's the funniest bug I've seen in a very long time! -
It would be wonderful to see licensed RX in a DiRT game. I love that championship and it's increasingly becoming one of my favourites. That combined with some rally, trailblazer would be awesome. -
It's a bit sad really to see how the three 'new' teams have turned out, with the exception of Marussia perhaps. HRT started bad and just remained in bad shape until they flopped at the end of 2012. Marussia started off pretty bad as Virgin but it's good to see they've turned out alright. I really hope they remain on the grid for a while. Caterham started off the best as Lotus but they've had a very rough couple of years.
I think Gene Haas has made a very sensible decision waiting until 2016 to enter F1. It gives him another year to get whatever he needs sorted, engines, drivers, a chassis, etc. I can see them sticking around for a while actually. -
Well perhaps their statement of more info once F1 2014 launches means 2 months afterwards, but then why not say we can't discuss more until after the new year initially. Unless some set back has happened or something else has got in the way.
