I am 99.999% sure that Tony Stewart didn't do that deliberately. Why would you?

That's a nice blog post there Mexi, sums up some of my thoughts rather well.
I've really enjoyed the F1 games from Codemasters, but each game I've thought, 'that feature is a bit rubbish', or 'that could really be improved' or 'I hope they add so and so in the next game'.
I kinda wish there was a new Chief Game Designer for F1, it would be really interesting to see their take on the game. If I was sitting in the Codemasters offices as Steve then I would change a lot of stuff. I'd be going through the forums every day looking at what the customers think of the game, what they want. I'd be answering as many questions as possible, answering as many tweets as possible, and I'd be writing down notes for game ideas.
One feature that was really wanted for F1 2014 was the formation lap, and this hasn't been included in F1 2014. Yes, it may be in the new F1 next-gen game, but why would it have taken 5 games before it was included. Getting the tyres and brakes up to temperature is so vital in F1, and it would be great to do that, and then having to do two or three burnouts just before you line up on the grid. As you said Mexi, that would make the game feel immersive, and I'd love to have that feature, as well as so many more.
Heck, I think I might make a blog about this subject now.

No big surprise there. Still can't believe it. Surely they'll get stricter on rules now in terms of getting out the car and wandering onto the track

Ooh yeah, I went to see The Inbetweeners 2 on Wednesday. It's extremely funny, and there were a couple of moments in it where I literally cried with laughter! If you haven't seen it, go and see it!

I don't think so, isn't that how VRL started either way? Maybe we could start a thread about it :p
Haha, that's very true :p Start the thread haha

Now, probably the McLaren P1
Why won't the iPad let me embed the picture after editing?

Oh my, that's awful. This story must be massive over in the States. Why would he go onto the track though, it says the cars were doing 150mph at that point, wow

I run a racing league and we have to look at incidents in races like this all the time. It's clear that this is a classic example of the 'lag bubble'. So on Matt's screen he was hit off, but on the other person's screen, he didn't hit you.
In this situation we would say that even though he didn't really hit him, he should wait up for Matt to catch up, and if he didn't do that then he would receive a time penalty of about 5 seconds.

That's 100% rubbish for me. Why would Ferrari do that? Why would they sabotage his season, just after he won the title for them the previous season, and the constructors championship, they'd ruin their chances at that.
Sorry, that's a load of codswallop.

Skiddyboy13 said:I just dislike the positioning of the cockpit cameras in modern day cars. Anything classic or old however, it's gotta be the cockpit. Things like F1 1978 on rFactor, or even the classic 80s cars from F1 2013. It just feels ''right'' whilst the T-cams for the older cars feel very wrong.Completely agree with you there. All the classic cars on F1 2013 I use with cockpit cam. As you say, the T-cams feel wrong on the older cars.

KRTheIceman said:Is anyone going to explain why he wasn't?
Well, he got beaten by Massa in the 2008 world championship, but quite a way. You said that 'Massa's quick in quali, but he's slow in the race', but 2008 season doesn't support that.
-

Nah, just kidding, but I seriously don't think that Raikkonen was the fastest guy before 2009.
-
For me, the central T-cam is what I use the most, and I really like the positioning of this camera. However, I think that the offset T-cam can be improved. I think this particular camera should be as close to the ones seen on TV as possible.
The cockpit cameras seem to vary a lot on F1 2013, and I can use some with no issues (Toro Rosso, Red Bull, Marussia, Ferrari) while I can't use others that much (McLaren, Mercedes, Williams), so I don't know if that's just me, but they could be closer in how they vary I think.
-
I thought I'd make a thread to do with the camera options in F1 games, and how you think they could be improved. Do you think there should be a helmet camera, where you can see the visor? What about the offset T-cams, should they be as close to real life as possible. It will be interesting to read your thoughts. I've also included a poll for fun really. Which camera position do you use the most in F1 games? -
You know on the old vBulletin forums we had those awesome smilies? Does anyone know where I can find them, cos I think I am able to upload my own smilies to my VRL forum, and if we had those then that would be pretty epic.
-
And how many races of the 11 so far has Alonso beaten Raikkonen in?
Oh yeah, all of them!

My name is Matt *******
I'm a legend and find it very racist that my surname, *******, is blocked. Codemasters have 1 month from the time of this post being published to fix it or I will have little choice other than to sue the company.

Probably Eugenie Bouchard...

Ahh yes

Send an Email to custserv@codemasters.com and if you ask nicely then they might be able to change it for you.

By the way, in case you're interested, I had my second driving lesson today! I drove for a solid hour around local villages and the town, and I'm loving it! I had to reverse around a corner, parallel park, do double roundabouts, and they all went well!
And I haven't stalled at all which is good, and I'm finding the clutch a lot easier than I expected. Same with the gears, they just seem natural which I think is really good at this stage.
My instructor said that I'm a naturally good driver which was great to hear and he said he doesn't get many pupils like me, haha. :p Bring on the test !!!

Ferrari F1 would be better off with out him tbh

Mine is at 10:30 I think on the 14th.
I am shitting myself...
My school requires at least a grade D in all the subjects you wanna continue with for A2, and I think I've done enough, but for art I want an A, music probably a B, French and History probably a C.

It's a shame that the last effort on the old-gen consoles is what it seems to be, because it seems like it's just a big update on F1 2013. Looking at the gameplay trailer, there's no massive visual difference (kind of expected), but when the headline features of the game is 'refined handling on a pad', a 'new driver evaluation system' with 're-graded difficulty levels' and an 'expanded scenario mode', that doesn't exactly fill my heart with much joy.
Refined handling should be expected in all games, it should just be a done thing. A new driver evaluation system, yeah, I guess that's pretty good, but it's one single lap out of the entire game. Expanded scenarios is good with real world situations (something I actually suggested, so here's hoping I had some contribution to this feature) and I'm actually looking forward to playing this.
I hope that the new next-gen F1 game is a lot better, with these improvements and cool features we've mentioned included. I think I'm gonna save up for a PS4, as there are a few games coming out for it soon which I quite like the look of.
