  1. I think that on the whole, the rule changes are good for the sport.

The engines are obviously the big talking point and while some don't like them, I think they're great for the sport. They are apparently more efficient than the engine in a Toyota Prius or something? That's awesome, and they're using far less fuel which is obviously good.

Unfortunately I haven't heard the sound with my own ears yet so I can't say just what the difference is, but the engines last year were so loud. I'm sure it's fine how they are.

The shape of the cars are obviously a bit odd, but that's what the designers have come up with and I've certainly got used to the 'ugly' noses.

The new rules have also created two classics in my opinion, at Bahrain and Canada, in just 7 races. I would say that three of the races have been better than the best race of last season (Silverstone in my opinion).

  2. As onetwothree said, you should come and join Vortex Racing Leagues! We took part in the Codies League Championship too, which means you'll be part of an ultra-cool league :p Tuesday nights at 20:00 on the PS3!

  3. Formula 1 Grosser Preis von Osterreich 2014
    Red Bull Ring, Spielberg

Here we go then, we return to Austria for the first time in Formula 1 since 2003. It used to be called the A1 Ring, but now it's been given a nice makeover with tarmac run offs here and there by Red Bull, and lets hope this short track gives us a good race.

  4. I shouldn't really laugh as it could have been a danger to his passengers, the other drivers and marshals, but I found that quite funny :p

Poor girl though, he should have at least stopped to let her out before doing that.

  6. Great result as an Audi fan, now 3x wins for the Lotterer, Treluyer and Fassler trio! Audi always seem to pull it out of the bag at Le Mans. Fantastic race! I didn't watch all of it but I kept up to date a lot of the time on the app which had loads of on boards, highlights, live timing, news, etc..

  7. @PeteTheDuck Again... it is Valtteri, not Valterri :-w

    Heal (+2) Bottas
    Hurt (-2) Chilton
Oh I am so deeply sorry...

Going back to the previous points,
    - I think we should maybe make sure you heal and hurt someone in each vote. So you can either heal or hurt up to 3 points, if you know what I mean.
    - If people post up new scoreboards when they can then that would be great.

    Heal: Hamilton (+3)
    Hurt: Maldonado (-1)

    12 - Sebastian Vettel
    27 - Daniel Ricciardo
    24 - Lewis Hamilton
    15 - Nico Rosberg
    24 - Fernando Alonso
    21 - Kimi Raikkonen
    20 - Romain Grosjean
    15 - Pastor Maldonado
    24 - Jenson Button
    20 - Kevin Magnussen
    20 - Nico Hulkenberg
    20 - Sergio Perez

    20 - Jean-Eric Vergne
    20 - Daniil Kvyat
    22 - Felipe Massa
    22 - Valterri Bottas
    22 - Jules Bianchi
    21 - Max Chilton
    21 - Kamui Kobayashi
    20 - Marcus Ericsson

  8. I've always been an Audi fan, ever since I can remember. My Dad has had Audi's too which has influenced that decision too :p

And yeah Bird was a bit stupid there, it was like he was just going at full pelt thinking 'Please don't hit anyone, please don't h.....oh s***' :D

  9. I say it's time to bring back an old forum game, the heal/hurt game! However, I'm gonna introduce some variations on the old rules to maybe spice it up a little.

Anyway, the concept is pretty simple, there is a list of drivers and you have to heal one and hurt another.

    F1 Drivers List
    20 - Sebastian Vettel
    20 - Daniel Ricciardo
    20 - Lewis Hamilton
    20 - Nico Rosberg
    20 - Fernando Alonso
    20 - Kimi Raikkonen
    20 - Romain Grosjean
    20 - Pastor Maldonado
    20 - Jenson Button
    20 - Kevin Magnussen
    20 - Nico Hulkenberg
    20 - Sergio Perez
    20 - Adrian Sutil
    20 - Esteban Gutierrez
    20 - Jean-Eric Vergne
    20 - Daniil Kvyat
    20 - Felipe Massa
    20 - Valterri Bottas
    20 - Jules Bianchi
    20 - Max Chilton
    20 - Kamui Kobayashi
    20 - Marcus Ericsson

    - Each driver starts the game on 20 points.
    - Each member has 4 points they can use each day and they can choose to use these points to heal or hurt drivers where they like.
    - If you heal a driver, their score goes up by however many points you awarded them.
    - If you hurt a driver, their score goes down by however many points you awarded them.
    - If a driver reaches 40 points they are safe and through to the next round. If a driver reaches 0 points then they are out of the game.
    - Then we do more rounds until we reach the final 2 (I think) and then we eventually find a winner.
    - You are allowed one set of votes per day.
    - You can't vote for the same drivers every day, you must change them around.

When making a vote, please use some format similar to this:
    Heal (+3) Driver A
    Hurt (-1) Driver B

If possible it would be great if you guys could update the points situation whenever you can, so we are always up to date.

I guess the point of the game is to see who our favourite drivers are, so lets get going!

If you don't understand some rules, please ask and I'll do my best to re explain.

    Heal (+2) Daniel Ricciardo
    Hurt (-2) Sebastian Vettel

Through to the next round are:
    1) Daniel Ricciardo
    2) Fernando Alonso
    3) Nico Hulkenberg
    4) Romain Grosjean
    5) Lewis Hamilton
    6) Jenson Button
    7) Valtteri Bottas
    8) Felipe Massa

These guys are out of the game:
    22) Pastor Maldonado
    21) Sebastian Vettel
    20) Adrian Sutil
    19) Max Chilton
