You got my stage 2 time wrong. It should be 3:00:980 not 16:20:00 -
Rally Monte CarloCol St. Roch70s That way we will have both the long routes (Col St. Roch and Gorges De Pianon) and a short stage (Routes Des Anges) It so means we get to do both sides of the track.

haha. Forgot to press publish. Fixed now. It was almost 2 AM when I posted it. I had a busy weekend with work so I was rushed. Thanks for letting me know.

DiRT Rally Championship Round 5 - The Final

I feel your pain. I had to work all weekend so I only did one run of each stage but I am still pretty happy with my times. I finished modifying my rig for the GS-4 motion simulator, and oh my god is it ever good. Going over jumps is just amazingly cool and you can really feel the g-forces around the corners. I concentrated more on my left foot braking this round. I was going to try some heel toe on the raid class but I ran out of time. It is interesting watching my foot work back on the pedal cam. It is great for learning and seeing how I race and how I can improve. Not offended at all. Just thought it was funny, that's all. :) I just wanted to give Lee options as I would have enjoyed any of those stages, It is better to have more options than not enough, and Lee picked one of the stages I suggested and ignored the rest. Which is exactly why I posted several options, it just so happened to be my top pick but at least he had other options if he didn't want to run the Trailblazer I suggested. I thought that was better than 4 or 5 people else just repeating that one stage we had already done. Just saying :)

Awesome. A 4 stage final. I'm loving it. Lucky it is a 3 day weekend here is New Zealand so this will keep me busy. -
Haha. So you complain when people don't submit enough stages and you complain when people submit too many stages. Okay then. My ONE choice is TrailblazerMichiganLake GratiotClassic It is a much longer and I think better Trailblazer than the Lake Superior TrailBlazer we did in the Michigan round.
-
Yeah, we have already done Taveta descent. Don't know why every one wants to do it again. RallyMichiganPeninsula Run70's RallyNorwayPaalsrudvegen80's TrailblazerMichiganLake GratiotClassic All stages we haven't done yet.
-
Haven't we already done that stage? How about we do one stage we haven't done from each of the countries in the classes we haven't done, 70's, 80's, S2000 and open.

DiRT Rally Championship Round 4 - Snow Blower Rally
Avenga76 replied to justbiglee's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0
Name: Avenga76 Team: RPM Racing Stage 1: 2:45.010 Stage 2: 2:32.902 Stage 3: 59.728 I was well off the pace this week. I just got my new GS-4 motion simulator seat last week but it sits a lot higher than my old seat so I couldn't see my dash etc. It made driving quite awkward so I couldn't set a very good time so instead I just had fun in the snow and power slid and handbrake turned as much as I could. It was a really fun rally but not very fast. The GS-4 seat is amazingly good, way more powerful than I thought it would be. G-Forces from cornering and braking feel amazing, I can feel how hard I am braking and turning now, adds so much immersion. Going over jumps would have to be the best part of it, you really feel the pressure on the back of your legs as you go up the jump then that sort of dropping feeling followed by the thud as you land. Combined with my 8 transducers it is a pretty full on experience. In other news I finally got my Fanatec Clubsport Shifter and my Sim Screens have been shipped from the UK. I have my whole rig in pieces now. I am totally redoing the seat mount and under seat transducer setup to work better with the motion setup I have now. I am also doing some strengthening of the steering wheel mount because I game getting a lot of movement of the wheel base. I will be welding in some support brackets. As always, here is my video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXwFIOyk7HE -
Thanks. You could run the game in 16:9 but it would stretch all the models. It made the cars look really wide so I kept it at 4:3

DiRT Rally Championship Round 3 - Wolverine Rally

Thanks. I'm not the quickest racer but I do have a hell of a lot of fun racing on my rig. I was the same when I used to rally in the real world. I was happy with middle of the field as long as I was having fun. As Jeremy Clarkson once said 'he who shall be last shall be sideways and smiling.' I couldn't do 4h per stage. I would totally melt, I use really big studio lights for my videos, combined with the heat from the 4 amps running my transducers. It gets pretty hot in my room so I can only do about 30mins at a time. Luckily it is winter here so I don't need a heater :) I usually do a bit of practice on Saturday then record on Sunday. It then takes be quite a while to edit all the multiple camera's together and sync up all the microphones. Good fun though. -
DiRT Rally Championship Round 3 - Wolverine Rally

Had heaps of fun on this stage. Brought back heaps of memories of Carlos Sainz racing the Celica back in the day. I used to go to the Rally of New Zealand with my dad and I remember watching Carlos win the Rally NZ three times in a row in the earlier Celicas. I really liked the model before the one in Dirt 3, I used to have an old 1991 Celica Z-R. I used the hoon along some of the same roads they used in the Rally NZ, it was heaps of fun even though it was a FWD Auto. My rig is quite a beast to drive. The Fanatec wheel can put out a hell of a lot of force and I have 8 transducer (bass shakers) on my rig running through Simvibe. If you ever watch any of my videos then you will see how much my rig moves when I corner etc. The whole thing is mounted of rubber vibration isolators so you get a hell of a lot of movement. My GS-4 seat has finally arrived in the country so I will hopefully get that tomorrow. If you haven't seen what the GS-4 seat is, it is a motion seat that simulates G-force while cornering, accelerating and braking etc http://simxperience.com/en-us/products/motionsimulatorkits/simxperiencegs-4g-seat.aspx Also check out Simvibe. Even with 1 transducer it is awesome. It uses the telemetry from the game to reproduce the vibrations you would feel in a real car, I have 8 of them so say if I run over a ripple strip if my front left wheel then I will feel it from the front left of my rig. I have 4 transducers where the wheels would be, one on the pedals, a bigger one under the seat and one under each shifter. http://simxperience.com/Products/SimVibe/SimVibeSoftware.aspx So yeah, it can be quite a workout and you do feel pretty knackered after a long race. -
I agree, it would be great to do a rally there. It is an awesome track, and I am lucky enough to have the DLC on PC but for those who are new to DiRT 3 on the PC, they don't have the option of buying the DLC. It would be a bit stink to host a round at a track that some people don't own or can't get. I could also see how some people might not want to buy the DLC just for 1 round of the DRC.
-
A lot of PC users can't get the Monte DLC because GFWL marketplace has shutdown. So if you run the steam version or PC-DVD version then you can't get the DLC unless you installed the DLC before the GFWL Marketplace shutdown or you have the Game of the year edition on PC-DVD.
-
I can't play multiplayer :( I need to run an unpatched DVD version so my gauges and motion can work. If I run the latest version then the game crashes when I cross the finish line.

I have found that the Youtube embedding doesn't work under Internet Explorer. It works fine in Chrome. Here is my latest Dirt 3 video. I was really pleased with my Trailblazer run. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERoSA73BOXw
