No. They didn't say that medium TC was similar to real world. They said that medium TC was more similar to real world than no TC.

15 - that's my karting number ๐ I have also used 85 and 88 in the past as this was our team number when I raced for Strathclyde Karting club. But 15 is my personal one so I like to use that ๐

Some trusty CAD/FEA software branding on the front wing there ๐

I use the T-cam style view in GT Sport because of the limited camera settings, but for some reason it just feels weird for me driving in T-cam in the F1 games. The steering feels somehow disconnected, like there is some kind of lag. I bet if I practiced enough I could get used to it but I prefer cockpit view ๐

It may have a lot to do with your driving style. Honestly I struggled with 2019. I consider myself a decent driver and was struggling to match the AI on most circuits at 103. This year I've finished in 11th place twice in the first 3 MyTeam races at 107 and the other race I finished on the podium ๐ Don't feel disheartened though, it's like jumping into a new job, you'll take time to adapt ๐

Check your tyre temps. There's a lot of long corners at Silverstone and you really need to be careful this year with your tyres. They tend to overheat during the Maggots Becketts complex and that will cause huge understeer. It would also stop you getting on the power so early because your fronts aren't gripping.

It's great to see that Codies have now moved the brake bias change animation to the steering wheel for this year, having previously been a lever adjust beside the left leg. Are there any other new steering wheel animations that anyone has noticed / any suggestions for the future on this front? P.S greetings from the Highlands of Scotland ๐

You're able to scroll through the weeks so I reckon all the challenges will remain active, but new ones will unlock each week

Last year I got a key from Fanatec but took a few days after release to come through

Canada circuit missing distance markers before chicane
mattb97 replied to Sir_Overtakesalot's topic in General Discussion
They're on the ground right next to the track on the left. They are very small but the 50m board is the same size as the others so if he he's that one and not the others then there's another problem. -

If the markers are missing, I find the bump just before the 50 board to be a pretty decent guide! -

Juan Pablo Montoya is an honourable mention for me! ๐ -
Will F1 2020 Support the Podium Advanced Paddle Module?
mattb97 replied to TheFBLP's topic in General Discussion
@PJTierney That's the video I found ๐ As I say, I can't confirm this works perfectly as I'm on PS4 and this is being used on PC, but best of luck! -

Additionally, the clutch bite point mode works as intended on PC. There's a video of someone showing how to set it up and use it properly. I hope compatibility is developed for consoles this year ๐ -
Will F1 2020 Support the Podium Advanced Paddle Module?

The two extra paddles do work. I'll map the top left trigger to DRS if I ever join Ferrari as that's how they have it in game, and was thinking the same about mapping the other as an overtake button ๐ -
F1 2019 Problem top speed in straight line, can you help me?
mattb97 replied to Dogo1985's topic in General Discussion
I had this problem in my first career mode season and it turned out to be wear on the power unit parts. Give this a check and if they're all still green then have a look at setup. -
I'm sure the Rich Energy logo was removed from the Haas cars. The colours remained but the logo was removed. Edit: found an image of the Haas from Mexico 2019

I read that the contract has been terminated with immediate effect so I don't think Rokit will be on the car after the first post-release patch at the latest. Having said that Rich Energy is still on the 2019 Haas car so idk ๐

Will F1 2020 Support the Podium Advanced Paddle Module?

The paddles work but as far as I'm aware the clutch bite point system doesn't work properly, not on PS4 anyway. If someone knows otherwise please tell me how ๐ -
This is actually a really good point! It could be part of the R&D tree and become available to teams like how KERS used to become available for Marussia etc back in F1 2013. I think it would be well placed as part of the chassis tree and would decrease tyre wear and help with reheat when used properly.

It's fair enough choosing very new members for beta testing as it will give a good indicator of how the new steering assist and such are working. It's always good to be able to judge how accessible games are.

There was a press release that announced that Codies have kept both Antoine Hubert and Juan Manuel Correa in their F2 2019 seats, also having them as part of the driver roster in MyTeam. Means that, for a moment, we can forget the tragedy every happened and race alongside them.

I'd suggest jumping into a Time Trial session and selecting the car you're using in career mode. This is a great way to learn the track without the time limit of a practice session and the consequences of engine wear, and will also give you more time with your car in order to understand it's nuances better. Hope this helps ๐

I run 50% races (full qualifying) and have done since F1 2010. I find it the perfect balance between race time and actual progression through the career mode - don't think I'd ever get to the end of a season doing full length races!
