That's exactly what i missed last year to find out. I wanted to change tyres to dry but i couldn't First i thought it's a bug maybe, but after some time i found the switch for weather condition. Most times the bug is sitting in front of the screen.

That's why we need a difficulty setting. If you are driving a ten season career and set it to easy, you could be able to fight the top teams at season 3, for normal it could be at season 5 and for hard it could be at season 7 or 8. This would fit everyone and was also claimed last year.

It's not my meaning. I think many people think way to complicated. In my opinion take a starting point and start practice for a race weekend. There you can see if you have to make big adjustments compared to your teammate and team position. I don't care so much about wrong difficulty over a season. There are races you are better and races you are worse. Sometimes it depends on AI performance on the track and sometimes on your own preferences. I always start Melbourne around 85 difficulty. My car is second worst in the grid. If i beat my teammate and i am way ahead of Williams i turn the difficulty up. If i have no chance to follow Williams i turn it down. Sometimes you'll get personally better over a season and you can turn up the difficulty step by step.

I can understand the need as an option for a league. But this could also be done into the league rules or do your members try to cheat in your league? I don't like the point to be forced in a random multiplayer, but in a league im not in, it would be totally fine for me. From my point of view, i tried both and i never gained one tenth due to a different view. You have to get used to it and then you are as fast as with the different view, depends on the accuracy of your lap. In TC you gain a bit of overview but not time. So i will never understand why it shall be an assist, due to lap time.

Use GP mode to test AI difficulty on various tracks. Use maybe Bottas and try to stay not more than one or two tenth behind Hamilton. Do this on different tracks and take the average for AI difficulty. I think that's what he said.

just as a maybe workaround. Have you tried to make a complete new steering template from scratch? Maybe it will work. Last year i had a problem between keyboard and wheel buttons, tried to reassign but nothing worked. than i deleted my template and made a complete new one and it's gone.

The problem is that we don't know whats really going on in the vid. You know whats happening, but we aren't. How should we know that change of view is made by the steering direction and not by you? I was really confused after the vid and looked it twice to understand what you want to show. You didn't explain anything. First a hard to read rant post, than a vid without description and the conclusion that you can't drive on a straight line. It leaves me confused.

For DRS you mean on the ingame steering wheel? Could you make some screenshots? I'm a bit confused at the moment what you actually mean.

ERS can't be changed normally. For race you push the overtake button. If you want to adjust ERS in Quali you have to bind two buttons or a **** to ERS + and - in options. For Quali its normally in Hotlap. That is the pre defined mapping, but you can switch it to none for in and outlap or if you want to reload and start a hotlap again.

Yep, happened to me too. I accidentialy pressed the button for my team and i was in the menue to choose an engine and so on. I wanted to go back but had no chance. I pressed Alt+F4 to quit the game.

In real F1 there are strict limits, but there are not monitored strictly. The FIA wants to stop the discussion and they think about some arrangements which prevents driver from exeeding track limits or which are way slower. At the moment the stewards will have a look at it, but they only penalise exeeding limits if you gain time (in acc. to C. Whiting). For a game i think it's not so easy to implement a measurement system which only gives a warning if you gain time.
-
Is this the explanation? Together with "i am the host of the fastest league" shows you are a real adult. I think any further conversation doesn't make any sense.
-
Don't be rude. You didn't know anything about other peoples and their experiences. The fact that you are racing in a league doesn't show that you are the only one with the right meaning. There are people out there which have different meanings. Deal with it.
-
What shall this picture explain? It shows only the unwillingness of people to follow the rules. Take it or not, the strict limits are a rule from Codemasters not official F1 rules. If you want to race with it, you have to deal with the possible penalties. I don't get it what the failure should be.
-
That's not the point. You should be as fast as possible, but within the given limits. Thats the point here. If you use strict rules you have to deal with it. If it means you lost a tenth in a corner, than do it or get a penalty, but don't blame the game. Otherwise we could skip all the limits.
-
why don't you simulate the two races you don't want to drive? For me it would be better if i could drive all 22 races but in 75% races.
-
I drive in a league with strict settings on 100% races. It's always the same, only the fastest guys which try to gain the last tenth mostly get warnings and penalties. In my last season i never got a time penalty, but i'm always not the fastest. For me it's totally fine how it is designed. You practice and get used to the limits than you have to deal with it. The only thing which is wrong and was also last year, if you are forced of the track, or you exeed track limits but loose time you will be also penalised. I had to drive straight on turn one in Canada to avoid crashes. I stopped in the middle and lost 2 or 3 sec and positions, but on top i got a penalty.

Yes, it's also stated in another thread. It is a really strange behaviour. You have to stop and than they drive by and accelerate.
-
Thats not the point You say it's unplayable, but you missed to say "for you". Maybe we find another xbox player which says it's fine. What's then? Don't get me wrong, if it doesn't work for you it's really bad and i feel for you. But don't generalize complains. That makes it always a bit uneblieveable and childish.
-
Again, i would say we will also find enough xbox player, which would say it's fine. So i find the statement unplayable a bit harsh. Maybe it is better on PC, but there are also pc player which stated it's unplayable. That makes the statement a bit unbelieveable.
-
I have absolutely no clue how much work it would be to make a new track. But in my opinion i'm fine with the official tracks. Addiotionally i will say as long as we don't have the official tracks laser scanned and as long as people complaining about wrong curb color, they shouldn't do it and should stick with the amount of tracks we actually have.
-
On the other hand it's wrong to say the game is unplayable, if bugs or crashes only occur in one mode. I totally understand the frustration if something didn't work like it should, but i hate it if individual bugs are generalized over the complete game. As i said in another thread, i'm wondering the last years because i mainly found maybe 10% of the bugs stated in this forum. Maybe i had luck or i didn't use the mode others uses. I don't know.
-
I hope the thread was made as a joke. It can't be that hard to figure out what's wrong. But if it's a real claim, i would say: you are right. you can't play the game (and you can't use punctuation marks) and you should never by one again in the future. (sarcasm off)
-
That's what i meant. In a ten year career, the first two years should be trying to catch up the midfield. Year three to six should be the way through the midfield and catch up the top. In year 7 or 8 you could start winning championship. From my point of view it would be grat to not be able to fully upgrade all facilities and the car within ten years. You should make the dicisions which part serves you more. So you could get different endings and different challenges. Improving car or facilities never stops for an F1 team.

lift and coast will be a solution and avoid spinning wheels at corner exit.
