Sounds great. Send it to CM, so that they can have look into it and maybe make some improvements with an upcoming patch. That's right, they don't come without money, but mostly they need to hire paydrivers to earn money from driver sponsors to survive.

I don't think it will change the mapping, but i'm not sure. Last year it could change your race strategy, because tyre wear and fuel consumption was calculated due to the programs. The mapping i think is fixed, but this has to answered by CM staff.

The top teams are also upgrading their facilities and cars over time, but you can step up to them over time. Some people say it's to fast to start as a backmarker and step up to the top. I don't have played so much up to now, to say if it's well balanced or not. But you will get to the top with your car after some seasons.

I would say i don't want to have any bugs in a game after release and i will not make any excuses about it for F1 2020. I buy every F1 game at release. Why? First of all over the last years I maybe encounter 10% of the stated bugs (or less). So i think it's ok for me. Than i never had, in the last years, a game breaking bug. The same for 2020. I can play the game and i have a lot of fun with it. Is it all super balanced until now? No. Does it prevent me from having fun? No. Everybody has to make his own decision. What i don't understand are people which buy the game every year at release and complaining afterwards that it's the same every year and the game is unplayable. I don't get it. Why do you buy it then? I don't want to convince someone. All i can say is it is ok for me and i have fun.

Maybe we have played different games. I remember a lot of games with bugs. Some smaller, some bigger and sometimes game braking bugs. The bad thing back in time was, if you found some bugs, you had to deal with it. You couldn't wait a week to hope it would be patched out. Yes, less money, that's what people want. I didn't say that's what they get, because it isn't possible. Every year more and more player complaining about the prices.

That's not really true and not fair. I remember the times where i had to wait for a game magazine with CD to hope there was a patch on it. I also remember many games i couldn't finish because of game braking bugs. On the other hand today it's easier to release a not 100% finished game, because you can patch it afterwards any time. Todays time it is harder for game companies. Every player wants more and more. The best thing better graphics, more content in less time, for less money and with zero bugs.

We had the same discussion last year and i didn't understand why CM can't implement a difficulty slider. First set for difficulty should be the carreer length. A ten season carreer should have way higher costs for facilities and R&D. Additionally they should implement an option for difficulty (easy, normal, hard) for fine tuning of difficulty. It doesn't make any sense to have a fully upgraded facility and maxed out car in season 5 for example. From my point of view a backmarker team should struggle in first and second year for reliability and money and should not be able or barely able to improve there facilitys.

Pick a difficulty and run some practise sessions (in my Team mode). Compared to your teammates time and opponent time you can clearly see if your difficulty is to low or to high. For example you are starting as the second worst team and run the first practise session, your best times should be a bit ahead of the worst team times. Try to replicate your best times in accordance to the performance charts. If you start at Melbourne and you are second worst performance wise but you are ending on 10th place, your difficulty is way to low. Other way is start a GP, take the Mercedes and try to be near Hamilton with your best time.

It is only available on track. Make TT, pause and then should be first option under OSD settings. I missed it last year first, because I thought it was the headline of this section.

Bottas was way faster than Verstappen during his laps without traffic. After he closed the gap to Verstappen up to 1 or 1,5 sec, he had a really hard time to come closer. At approx. 250km/h 1sec gap is 70m. That's not really much compared to some claims here in this thread for the distance of slipstream effect. He could close the gap a little bit, but even with a faster car he couldn't overtake. In my opinion it was a good example how "strong" the slipstream really works. If i read some post it's more like "oh, i can't fly by. even with DRS. there must be something wrong" And again, for all complains about some player couldn't past during a straight even with DRS. Such complain could only be investigated, if we have the complete telemetry data. None of them know exactly the corner exit speed of both cars, the engine modes, use of overtake...

In my opinion, the slipstream is exactly what it is in real life. Take last F1 Race as an example. Bottas was 1,5 sec faster than Verstappen and could easily close the gap up to 1 sec behind. Than it stopped. Even with the better car, DRS and slipstream he couldn't overtake. That's what i said two years ago. Overtaking is mostly hard work in real F1. Last year many people complained about the lack of realism. Now it's more realistic and the people complaining about it should be easier to overtake. I don't really get it. For me it's absolutely right this year.

My first choice would be lowering the front left tyre pressure more. This should help with temperatures.

It will be easier, because you have to consider less information. In my opinion the failure must be something different. First you shouldn't make the game easier, you should make it harder. As the third or fourth worst team in performance you shouldn't be able to qualify as tenth or above. You should fight for 18th. Than the stronger cars wouldn't drive as a train behind you. But that wouldn't explain your performance drop between qualifying and race. For race keep in mind that you drive in different engine and ers modes than in qualifying and you will have a way heavier car. Therefore it's clear that your car is much slower in race than in qualifying. To clarify the performance step compared to other cars it would be helpful to see a short video. Maybe three or four laps with tyre wear and tyre temperature shown in MFD.

Sad, same like last year with long term carreer. I didn't really understand why CM did not implement an option how fast R&D, Money, Reputation... shall rise. I thought you cann adjust it by choosing the carreer length, but if so it makes no sense to choose 10 seasons and have no more challenges after 5 seasons.

6/9 wing in Melbourne is a bit to much in my opinion. My setup is 5/4 and i think there are a lot of guys which have even lower wings in Melbourne.

I use the setups from realsport since 2018. Very good setups for long races. Not the fastest, but well balanced. I like how the car feels during the race by using their setups.

It just doesn't make sense for you. Maybe the next one really like especially this feature. I am always a fan of customization, but i don't like the arguying like "it has to be this way, because i want it. If it's not in it is totally **** or poor design." Maybe CM won't do it because of some unknown reasons. Maybe they tried but find way to much problems.... The problem mostly is someone started a thread, 10 people comment in it and than it goes "we are the racing community. we are the majority..." No, we are not. We are the total minority. The majority play the game and never write anything in any forum. The same for "i have paid for the game..." Technically no, we have paid to have the right to play their game.

Again, we don't have all the data. We can't say how big the effect really is by watching TV.

I don't think so. If you want everything the same over a season, there are more game modes than myteam. Some game modes are maybe made with something in mind of the developer. If you don't like it play another mode. I don't think that every game and every game mode should be customized by the player.

Overtake mode isn't needed in qualifying, because you have a different ERS mapping with more power.

If you compare real F1, there are many datas we don't have. If the second car has a corner exit with 186km/h and the car in front has 180km/h, the overtake isn't only due to slipstream. It might help, but we can't really know the real strenght of it. There are so many little differences due to races, we clearly don't know. Every year again I'm surprised about the comments from some user like "it's not like in real life". Must be a huge amount of people here, which really have driven a race car. Would like to have an opinion from Norris or Leclerc about it. For sure they "know" how it should be.

That was normally the reason to implement OP and DRS in Formula 1.

It doesn't affect the performance of the car. You have to be more careful with simulation damage.
