It's sad that there are cheaters, but it won't affect my motivation. In solo mode I'm not affected. For online races I'm in a league and for TT I know I'm far away of the Top100, so also for TT I'm not affected by them. But i understood that it's really annoying for the top racers.

Normally the difficulty in race is a bit easier than in qualifying. Are you sure there is no other possible reason like tyre temperature due to wrong setup, engine temperature due to overuse of rich fuel mix, wrong use of ERS.... It's hard to judge without any evidence. Maybe you can make a short video of qualifying and race to compare.

Settings should be adjusted for this years title. It's all a bit different. Read the Thread from David Greco on top of the forum. He explains the differences for this year. The stock setups are always a good starting point.

Every year the same discussion. Like last year i have seen vids where people perform on the same level level in wet condition, some are better in wet condition and start to gain places, where others looses places because they are weak in wet condition vs dry. How should CM balance the performances of millions of players? It's impossible. Easy fix: to be competitive in wet condition, practice and get better. Don't blame the AI to be OP.

Sorry mate but it's really hard to read. I don't understand any sentence about your problem. Try to write it in your own language and maybe someone in the forum can translate it.

I don't wanted more retirements, but a lot more smaller mistakes. If the AI drives 55 laps always the same line or time, it's a bit boring. I wanted some mistakes like ruin your tyres due to brake mistakes, than they have to change the strategie to pit earlier. Or totally miss a corner (seen last F1 race in Austria) and loose maybe 2 or 3 seconds. That would be way more interesting to stay focused and try to hold your pace, because you'll never know if the driver in front would loose some time here and there.

I don't get it what you are trying to say. I think i have to leave this discussion.

@Striker_703 It doesn't proof anything. That's the point you can't accept. It is fine that you can compare with AI in the wet. But it's not an evidence. If i'm driving against 80 AI and i can compare in dry conditions, but i'm 3 sec slower in the wet. What does it proof? Would you say the AI is OP in the wet because i can't beat them? The only thing i would proof would be, that i'm not a good racer in wet conditions. You can't proof anything by yourself. Maybe you are a extraordinary driver in wet conditions. To get a comparable result you need 10.000 drivers with same skills and under same conditions. Every of them should drive 100 laps in dry conditions and 100 laps in wet conditions. Then you could take the average and you would have an approach. But again that's not an evidence.
-
Ok, but that doesn't proof anything. If you are using a top driver which can beat 110 AI and he say the AI is too strong in the wet. How do we know it is because he is too weak in the wet. That's what i meant. You can't proof it. All we can do is to compare our times in dry and wet and can say the AI is too strong "for me" in the wet. There will be no proof of evidence. Also if we compare it to last years game. How do we know it was correct?
-
Understood what you mean, but then all guys could be wrong. Maybe all of them have a dry ability of 80% and a wet ability of 76%. So how can we know it is a fact or not? Maybe we are all wrong?

F1 2020 - Wishlist/ideas/hopes/suggestions for the future F1 Game(s)

That's what i said. For manual pit stops i have a different meaning. I think it is ok like it is now. Think about manual pit stops online. Would be demolition derby or you have to ghost all the cars in the pits, but then there is no reason for a manual stop. -

It's a great list of improvements. But i think due to the lack of communication we have to wait till 2025 to get nearly 50% implemented. Codemasters will find a new "baby" next year to be implemented together with the same old bugs, only to realise afterwards that it is not very well sophisticated. Maybe i'm wrong. Let's hope. -
Please add more info on the steering wheel screen [R2]

Looks fantastic. I like the additional lights for DRS and Limiter/Fuel. Maybe i will try it. The one from sim display is a 5" screen. Have to check if it fits or not. Is there any website where i can order button and rotary caps? -

Would like to have it on my wheel like @AlexTT I have a zroso custom build wheel but with SLI Pro only. Thought about weeks ago to improve it by myself with an lcd screen from simdisplay. The problem is i'm a little bit afraid of soldering all the parts together. Maybe i will do it in the near future, because sim racing wheels with already implemented lcd screens are way too expensive. -
Until the majority of players is playing the game in different views than cockpit cam, i think there is a small interest for Codemasters to implement this option. But i really like the idea and it would be fantastic for the immersion. At the moment i switch off the halo column, but this doesn't feel right. The option for transparency would be great for all cockpit users.

I tried your proposal. Overall 100 and the effects to 0. It worked, but i have to test it a bit more to find my sweetspot. The wheel (Accuforce) is less nervous on straights but all effects are noticeable. Feels fine at the moment. Never thought about to try it, because i thought 0 means the effect is off.

All he said is, it’s a bit unrealistic but a lot of fun. We don’t know which point he refers to. Is it the turn in, where so many guys have complaints or the acceleration or maybe a real F1 is much more unstable.... As long as we didn’t drove a real F1 car we can’t compare. That’s why i am wondering every time people talk about realism.
-
In 2018 there were suggestions to implement a difficulty option for R&D. For me that would be the best way. Everybody who wants it could take the harder difficulty and would gain less points. Standard is the default option and the guys who wants it a bit quicker could choose easy. Also what i have suggested last year, from my point of view every R&D option should have a positive and a possible negative effect. This would make the R&D much more interesting. For example a drag reduction upgrade could have a negative effect on tyre wear or an engine upgrade could lower the reliability.

I forgot to add the sarcasm marking. It was a little tease for all the guys which wanted to force to drive absolutely realistic.

Great idea. This would be a big improvement. But i think it will never happen, because Codemasters is quite hesitant with optimizing. For all haters: i think we would be minimum half a second faster with it.
