They arent allowed to just do whatever they want with the game seems like a lot of hoops and red tape they have to jump through to get stuff done.
That would be a weird reason. If we had 100% only in the game, because F1 want the game to reflect the real world it would be imaginable. But with 25% and 50% already in the game, it seems more like nobody ask them for 75%.

It is discussed since 2017 i think. I don't know what's the matter to not fix it. Maybe the couldn't find a way without breaking some other things. What's really annoying from my point of view is that we got no answer from Codemasters since 2017 about it. If it's not possible with the actual game engine or code they should state it and we doesn't need to ask again and again.
Has anyone ever made a bug report about it, because it's not reflecting the actual F1 rules? Should be a way to get an answer. Even if it is "by design".

I have seen a post that you have to use the same paddles for the normal clutch and for the classic analog clutch (didn't know the right name) to use this features. I haven't tested it yet and can't say if it's really true. Normally the typical clutch is on/off only. But for classic cars there should be an option to use it as analog clutch.

Sign the worst engines as well. That should slow your climb. Also not protecting against reg changes, but doing it all from scratch the following year should keep you down longer.
This is a workaraound, but i don't like it. Would be the same as to say we drive a bit slower to be not the best. This isn't the spirit of the sport in my opinion. Best way would be a difficulty slider in the options as claimed the last two years.

Who says that? I never said something like this. Don't no where you have it from.

I don't say i'm against DNF's. I only said there should be an option.
The failures you described have little to no outcome.
- Loss of gears will only occur if you drive a gearbox with very high wear on it. It never happened at the beginning of a season for example.
- DRS won't open is a random failure which can occur but it never result in a different style of driving to prevent more damage like i described above
- loss of power shall be there by overheating the engine. Haven't experienced it yet. What i have seen in some YT videos, many player drive most of the time in rich fuel mix without overheating the engine. So, it seems to be not really present at the time
I would say i described above a different handling of failures during racing as the game actually do.
-
Random failures for the player could be heaven or hell. If they ever implement failures, there should be an option to toggle it on or off.
For myself i'm not so much interested in failures which cause an DNF, more like small failures which gets you noticeable loss of speed, different handling etc. Maybe only partly.
- Think about your engineer calls you in the middle of the race that they found some heat problems. You shall switch to lean fuel mode, try to avoid slipstream/dirty air and you loose an decent amount of power. After random count of laps your engineer say it should be solved and you shall try to push.
- Or your box say they found a drop in tyre pressure on e.g. front left and after two laps they decide to bring you back in for another stop.
- Or you will get elctric problems during a race and you have to stay away from the curbs to survive.
Same should be possible for AI. This would bring in much more fun. If you have only 5 laps to go, you are 10 sec. behind and you notice some problems on the car in front. You would push like hell and if you are lucky you get him or his problems are gone after 3 laps.

I know that tv pod lets you see more of the track, but with tv pod you have a fish eye vision. But in cockpit you have tunnel vision which is much better. So is a better FOV (field of vision) in tv pod better than having tunnel vision in cockpit. Ill let you all give your opinions
There is no better or beneficial. It all depends on your personal feeling. Try both a few rounds and decide whats best for you.
Don't believe the "this is faster..." story. You are fast, if it feels good for you. I raced in both views and i nearly have the same speed. Each view has it's pros and cons.

What i have seen from other videos it looks like the AI is less aggressiv with other AI cars. If it is against you the AI immediately tries to overtake, but with other AI cars they stay behind for 15 laps.

Then after each season you get the chance to replace 3 circuits with a selection others such as for example India, South Korea, Malaysia, Imola, Mugello, Portimao, Jerez, Nürburgring, Hockenheim, Magny-Cours, etc. But you can only replace 3 to slightly alter that year's calendar. Then after that season, you can change 3 again and so on. You could of course also just keep the calendar the way it is, or only change 1, etc.
That's something that would make my wildest dream come true, as you could for example play 4 seasons with say... Russia on the calendar and then for 2 seasons Russia gets replaced by the Malaysian GP, etc. Oh the immersion this would give.Agree. The option to replace some races for next year with already existing tracks (Hockenheim, Malaysia...) would be really great.

Another Point in real life is that all drivers have a "set mark" button on their wheels. This is to set a marker in all the telemetrie data to find it afterwards when discussing with the engineers, e.g. loosing grip in a specific corner. With the marker they can check afterwards if it's something suspiscious in the data which could cause the grip loss.

I don't think it's setup related, maybe a high ICE wear could cause some problems. But not getting faster than 270km/h on straights, where aou hit 320km/h in qualifying seems more like a controller issue. I would first check if the controller/throttle pedal reaches 100% in the settings. Maybe i would try to delete the steering setting and would make a new one from scratch. Maybe it helps.
To loose 50km/h on straight it can't be not using overtake or rear wing at 7 instead of 4.

Hence we switch off all driver aids, we disable flashbacks, we enable realistic car damage (in Monaco lol) and the like. I for one would LOVE to see a challenge mode in "myteam", similar to some of these racing management games that provide you scenarios you have to solve. So if i started with the worst engine, not a good teammate, hardly any cash and difficult sponsor situation, I imagine making my first point would feel soooo utterly rewarding. Anyone with me?
I agree. Would also love to have the chance of a really hard situation. As a new team in F1, no sponsors, struggle with money, unexperienced teammate and a second slower than the rest.
Compared with less R&D points and money, results in slower development would give me he first points maybe in season 2. I would love it, but i understand there are a lot of players which won't go the hard route. This is the reason i'm asking for difficulty options since F1 2017.

I wish we would have a practice mode with track acclimatisation program to learn the tracks and to get a better feeling of corner speed without racing line. If you switch off the racing line first time it's hard to say/feel if you had the right speed through the corner.

Never tried something like this before. Maybe you can give the ownership to someone else within the league, than leave and they can invite the new one.

I think the problem isn't that regular is to soft and strict is to harsh. The problem is more that the game doesn't consider if it's a time loss or an advantage.
For example i raced at Canada. Started in midfield. To avoid a crash in turn 1 i needed to go straight and cut turn 2 completely. I fully stopped my car in between and let the whole field pass to reenter the track safely. After i was back on track i got a time penalty for corner cutting, but i lost seven places and a lot of time.

If a part failed you have to pay twice for development of the part. The third payment is to save it from regulation changes. It sounds right.

The possibility of throttle saturation was also my first thought. It must be something with your pedals and or software in my opinion. Have you checked the throttle and brake pedal in Windows? That failure sounds really weird.
Could it be a possibility to drive in rich mix too long and overheat your engine? That should result in a power loss.
Have you compared your high speed to others in practice sessions?
-
But thats the reason for regulation changes. Choose the most important ones for you and as many as you can adapt. I think it's the same for AI.
I always find it a bit boring that you can always adapt all parts after regulation changes, except there are three departments involved. First time i've heard about so much changes.

I would say it's a race incident. Both drivers are to blame. The first driver had all the space on the left to speed up and let the second driver alive. The second driver should have slow done.
It's directly after race start. There are enough laps to go for a battle and mainly Eau Rouge isn't the right place to go side by side.
That's why i never attack on first laps in a league race. I always wait for the field to get sorted. I made so much points sometimes by defensive driving. If you have a competitive field and you brake your wing in the first rounds, mainly your race is over.

Always full Quali, drive inlap and outlap and wait all the time. I find it really entertaining, but it takes a bit of time.

Just now, zZ A M P Aa said:The problem isnt solved, you clearly have no idea. How can every driver send in a video of a lap time they could of set a month or so ago and didnt get a clip of?
Sorry, but this sounds all a bit more like "oh, i'm not in the top10 anymore". You are right it should be patched, but no need to hurry. If you have so many corrupt people in a league i would leave it.

This is always a bit lame reason for me. People in a league should have a bit of a codex to not cheat. On the other hand which advantage do i have by cheating in a league? Afterwards i will get eaten by other players during league races.

I noticed this behaviour in many vids. It's a bit weird. The AI behind you immediately attacks you if they see a little chance which is fine. But if they made a stop for example the drive 10 laps behind clearly slower cars without attacking them.
This is a reason why 50% races with a one stop vs AI two stop is so much overpowered.
