  1. I agree, the blue fog needs to go away. I'm actually not going to buy Finland DLC if the fog is there, not interested in driving with that all the time. (my little nano protest against massive unrealism)
  2. Yeah maybe, I thought maybe it also helps with FPS as it allows culling trees earlier (potentially). But either way, it's bad.
  3. I think you're wrong though. The more hardcore fan base are the ones who stick around to provide positive and negative feedback. And so that is a large influence for how the develper adjusts things going forward as it's info they can use to improve the product and deliver future stuff. Yes the other people matter as they also provide feedback en masse in Steam etc where specific things are mentioned over and over very briefly but as a collective. They watch this too. But yeah, the point is that the hardcore fans do get listened to because they're more knowledgeable on the game, the issues, and they report issues more precisely and less offensively as well. (most of the time)

    Leaderboards option on Main Menu

Wait what, I'm not even top 10 on Jezioro Luke R2?! *** is going on.
  5. Can you explain what this tool is for or what it does please?

    1.10 and analog Handbrake

Just tried that in the R2, and there is definitely an analog range there as well. It's just lower grip than Spain. 150% sat and 5% DZ. Of course it would be better to have a proper adjustment on the force of the brake, so we could have more control. But it's not a requirement that an analog HB only locks at 95% pull.

    1.10 and analog Handbrake

I'm using a Fanatec V1.5, it's not good at all due to mechanical design problems, essentially it's junk after 200h of rallying. I have heard everyone who bought the $100 China HB is happy, and to me the mechanical and electronic design looks very good with HAL sensor and not a Potentiometer, and a steel axle, unlike the fanatec one.

    1.10 and analog Handbrake

The person who asked a different question cares, and possibly others, I just answered the question. The rest I just am not getting into, it's another subject.

    1.10 and analog Handbrake

AFAIK: There was a big simulation model change and input code change, and the result is this. But anyway, it's not bad now, in my tests so far.

    1.10 and analog Handbrake

Which car and which location? I will give it a shot later today.

    1.10 and analog Handbrake

Any time the HB engages you hear strange clicking sound and a bit of a higher pitched sound when on. Set deadzone as the other user said.

    1.10 and analog Handbrake

Well it's definitely not digital and not a button anymore. The changes are significant, but not perfect, here is what I wrote in Discord to clarify: The HB is working better now, in the sense that; - the input reporting slider seems accurate in showing what the game thinks is happening with the HB. - Setting a saturation of 150% is now allowing the car to launch. And adding that extra 50% saturation does scale the input and thus the force of the HB in the simulation. - So the analog range is improved by another 50%. Certainly it's not perfect as you're still locking wheels in an R2 at around 45% of the range of the linear HB (tarmac, spain, softs, balanced car) . Would probably need more adjustment range (with another approach no doubt to scale the force)(edited) Summary: It's much improved . Full range of adjustment - not yet Set your saturation to 150%, deadzone to maybe 5% (your preference based on your hardware), and enjoy an analog HB up to about 50% (so I'd say it's half way there!)

Used cars now display previous driven distance?

Sure I understand people have different preferences. For example lack of hardcore damage in career drove me a bit crazy. Now I have to complain about the handbrake and clutch nanny. I'll try to check on the car stats next time I do some sensible playing.

Used cars now display previous driven distance?

Are they?! I could have sworn they were not.

Used cars now display previous driven distance?

Why are people getting up in a twist all the time over the smallest of things? This isn't really that major. To be honest I won't cry if it's changed, but for sure now I'm ok with it as is. Other features would be cool, as in driver stats, not fake car stats.

I'm saying you want to remove some realism. 😉

Used cars now display previous driven distance?

I'm really trying to understand this mentality though: I messed up myself by not writing down the stats on some used cars I bought, now I can't track my mileage. And I blame myself, and like that there is a bit of real life built into this. (you screw up, you lose, nice easy lesson) But you want everything forgiving, so you don't need to take notes, you can buy a car cheaper and not have any lasting consequence like a different record on it (so presumably if it was real life you'd commit at minimum deceit and at maximum fraud when selling the car with a wiped rally or road history) 😛 Don't hate me, I just like the feature as is. I think there may be more out there like me.

Used cars now display previous driven distance?

Thats why you can't unless you pull out your notebook, there has to be some meaning to a used car in the game for it to be cheaper, it's repairs and odometer/stats. Sounds good to me.
  19. Most Codies sim games have UDP output. Many other Sim games out there support UDP (or API's) as well and you can use one of the most versatile apps for them called SimHub (you can check list of supported games on that).
  20. Yeah no worries. If you ever jump ship to a PC I think you'd definitely enjoy the UDP stuff that's out there, not just RDA.
  21. I don't dislike the tests, it's just a very obvious suggestion to improve them with a free application. The app is for Windows 10, it's also why most people doing any kind of studies/research are on Linux or Windows operating systems not Consoles (occasionally Apple also if that works of course). If it works for you then great, I can tell you for me, I was not able to extract useful information from your writeup. Don't hate me but I am used to reading some research papers, setting up cars, and occasionally writing some of my own too, and I'm just trying to help you improve.
  22. You really would be better served analyzing telemetry to judge tyre wear. (not tire, tyre) Or at least as an additional and more scientific data set. For example you could compare your exit speeds very easily with the RDA app that I made live on screen (second screen or game windowed). If your tyres are worn, you must be seeing a few Km difference on exits and through the straights. Overall time has the issue of cumulative mistakes and fatigue etc, repeatability. You would need to run your stages/tests dozens of times to get more reliable info. (because you can't feel your grip in the game, and you're not one of the best 20 rally drivers in the world) my2c

    Random automatic wipers bug

Yeah I hate this stupid bug personally. Sounds like it would be easy to fix / disable as well by default. It just seems unnecessary to leave this hanging for so many years.
  24. But the eSports qualifiers have nothing to do with pacenotes really. Not a the top of the LB at least. People are just doing min/max practice before their runs totally ignoring the pacenotes. This is by the looks of it just a stage modeling bug.
  25. Set it to maximum not minimum.
