  1. Thanks for the clarification! Almost every swedish driver I've seen or known uses the Swedish co-driver and I just assumed it was in the game. ๐Ÿ˜„ Other than that there is DiRTY Pacenotes and Crew Chief where people can add their own notes with a lot of work obviously.
  2. There are so many people using the Swedish co-driver that I think it's actually in-game. ๐Ÿค” Correct me if I'm wrong. ๐Ÿ˜†
  3. Yes, 1 is definitely more beneficial if you're going after a sim and for realism though. So depends what you're developing, a fun simcade, or a sim. The gameplay and even esports can obviously be solved by other means, like a ballast penalty per car similar to whaty ou mentioned for GT Sport.
  4. I just said this. " Meanwhile, I'm slightly hopeful these classes will get a top down Design consideration to change the reliance on set hard coded groupings to this extreme like we have in DR2. " I've also said it in a previous message directly to flying tuga that got no likes ๐Ÿ˜„ Here (I'm just surprised sometimes how forums and people work TBH.)
  5. In the game you get a bit of an "exploding tyre" action even if it was deflated previously. That is because often when these tyres fall apart after puncture at speed, they do some serious damage and the tread hits all kinds of things and rips them off. In the game they did go after a bursting tyre effect though, with small flames and stuff. ๐Ÿ™‚
  6. I really like taking one of the subis and seeing if I can be the fastest subi in a daily or whatnot. It's not the only subi that is out matched, there is a legacy in the group A class that has a similar issue, and one or two other Subis. However for me, it's more important that they are not butchered and are accurate than for them to be in the "correct class". Meanwhile, I'm slightly hopeful these classes will get a top down Design consideration to change the reliance on set hard coded groupings to this extreme like we have in DR2.
  7. Please enjoy some Greece World Record onboards and Replays in the Lancia Delta HF Integrale crazy box!
  8. The leagues/clubs system might be updated to allow better filtering/selection of cars though.
  9. Yes it could be a bit of both actually, either way the gap between the modes in game is too large for sure, and the shifts are a bit too slow on some of them for sure.
  10. Gear shifts in the manual gearbox cars when shifting with sequential mode should be a lot faster, especially for the historics. At least a sensible shift time for a rally driver on stage. Problems is: Currently people who have an H shifter and clutch when in manual shift mode can make up quite a bit of time on those who don't, and that's not very nice. And currently the shifts are just too slow, average people on the roads can probably shift a manual faster than the game shift delay for historics.
  11. The speed limit is ~100Km/h I've actually got a system on my dash for the occasion which even warns me ๐Ÿ˜‰
  12. Yeah I am just trying to be a bit realistic here on the car requests, there's also a request thread for cars specifically in this forum. They probably have the main cars for release well locked down now barring any obstacles, and if anyone really wanted to have a good chance of influencing the list they would need to run a comprehensive poll, so that developers see that XYZ cars really have a lot of desire from the potential clients/buyers. They already know things like "everyone wants modern WRC cars" and Toyota though, not that they necessarily can do anything about it for the next title.
  13. Another way to say the saying is : "You can dress up the pig, but it will still be a pig. " think its basically international ๐Ÿ˜› (note I am not making any comment on RBR here) Oh I bet the devs will be thrilled to see 20 pics of different rally cars in this thread, I'm sure they are really logging in here every day as they have no idea what to pick next without our posts. (massive BN sarcasm! ๐Ÿ˜™)
  14. That's technically also part of his job ๐Ÿ˜„ Jokes aside; no dev team these days wants to reveal too much too early, as the consequences of letting people know too much and then making changes, cutting things, corrections and so on have too many political consequences. It was hard enough for them to recover the reviews on DR2.0 last time around with FFB freakouts, DLC freakouts, tarmac freakouts and lets not forget no VR no buy. Also why would the community manager know the exact numbers of people in office A vs office B and changes in between. The way it works in these larger compa
  15. Having worked in the sim and gaming industry I can tell you this always cracks me up when a client says similar stuff like "I'll pay for it". Then when the numbers cross 20,000USD they are nowhere to pay the quote . ๐Ÿ˜› I think people generally have no idea how much some things would end up costing them. Whether it is licensing or just paying dev time. Nothing personal, just a general statement on customer awareness.
  16. Yeah I wonder how that licensing restriction works, which years/specs they aren't allowed to reproduce as long as someone else has the WRC license. ๐Ÿค”
  17. It's not necessarily about your post. It's about generating stages from anywhere in the world procedurally. I've been talking about this myself long ago, but it needs a long time to actually happen for a rally game.
  18. Actually I was also over complicating my previous reply on the issue, thinking of loading stages/terrain from the whole world as it were randomly and live. But with rally its much simpler, as you can pre-calculate and generate your stages (and save the data) before the stage starts. So you can get into some serious detail so the stage is all ready before the lights go out. This would just leave the issue of turning some bland data into a high fidelity stage on almost any road.
  19. Yep the Fiesta is a looker for sure. It's just harder to get excited about it now due to so little support from the manufacturer, and the road cars being withdrawn from Canada. โ›”
  20. Well making a good campaign takes a decent budget, as you need a few new assets and voice overs as well etc. One of the big things with campaigns is good in house testing as well, as so many things can go wrong with it. The problem is where you grab the team members from; and they will be unemployed after so you can't exactly hire them for just the 9 months or whatever it will take (cant or shoudln't). It would be very strange for the developer to do this because they haven't dealt with the IP in a long time and would need to build up the expertise again. But yeah, would be a fun thing f
  21. Well yes in a way. As far as I understand such a tech, the terrain would be streamed in, in blocks or sections ahead of and away from the observer/player. It has to keep up with the movement rate (it's done now with fast moving aircraft so that's possible on good sim PC's). The question then is just what level of granularity/detail can you stream in and load to memory/GPU, and from where, to keep up. If the detail of that is very high and you manage to load it say 500m ahead of the car and all around in time, you can likely get the sampling rate you require for physx/other calcs. Can pro
  22. Well yes due to the whole washed out fidelity/detail of the terrain/surfaces youre likely going to have to overcome. It's a huge undertaking, but it is coming for sure someday at least to general gaming.
  23. Yeah, I have also been thinking and mentioning that open world stages can and will happen some day, but it may (will) not be soon and may not even be EA who does it. The tech is already out there for some decent open/whole world implementations for terrain and buildings/objects. I just see it as a very expensive thing to develop properly to the level of detail required. I mean DR2.0 is already at a very high fidelity level, and then will come DR3 and the WRC titles, the whole world thing would need to somehow do those justice someday.
  24. Well the Yaris WRC definitely is aggressive looking, no doubt about that. ๐Ÿ™‚ But yeah I think they Hyundai is the beauty. ๐Ÿ˜„
  25. NP, it's one of the issues that comes up when a thread gets this long. Anyone new honestly can't be expected to read the entire thing word for word.
