  1. On the other hand I find the road yaris ugly, Fiesta is nice as always and so is the Hyundai. The WRC Yaris to me is an abomination as it doesn't even resemble the road car too much. The best one on that seems to be perhaps the Hyundai as it's most like the road car looking. But anyway, they all are far from their road cousins, with all the aero and wheels extended so far to the sides.
  2. Edit: Sorry I was not ignoring you, I just don't want to cause issues with what I write below. Not just me, in general WE know a few things from information in the public domain that are no real mystery: 1. It's being developed in a separate office to that of D5, with a separate team for the most part. This is to allow for the hardcore version concentrated more on rallying as opposed to D5. 2. It appears/is expected that Codies have heard customers loud and clear by now (not only on this forum, but with how sales are going and other sources), and know that people are asking ove
  3. It's amazing indeed. And I think they're planning something even better!
  4. So I finally took the leap into the Group B monster, I aborted my first attempt a this pass, this was my first completed stage in the Audi. I am super proud of this one, did better than I thought to survive that beast ๐Ÿ˜„ (disclaimer: I know that stage well so that makes things easier)
  5. Yep, was a close one, great show from the top 4 in the final.
  6. Well technically Jarod was P3 good on the day. The problem is the silly time/rally restart for the final stage. They need to cut that out.
  7. A couple of the guys seemed to bottom out when exiting the water splash, maybe too aggressive on the setup. It shoots you off to one side of course when that happens. Japanese guy had a bad line into the splash for sure. In the end it was as I predicted, very close, and luck resolved it to some extent. I think Jarod would have still had a chance if they didn't reset times for the final stage. Edit: or maybe not bottoming out, but it acts exactly like it, just shoots you off to the side at one specific point.
  8. Yes congrats to Lukas, finally all the pace has paid off!
  9. And yet we know so much as it is...
  10. That's what the specification is for in the 1st post by Codies. It's up to you to figure out the size of a data item and read it properly.
  11. I believe they fixed that after Argentina a couple years ago ๐Ÿ˜‰
  12. Hi, I am noticing this issue the second time now, one of the videos or links I have posted on /dirtgame is not showing up in reddit under /new and often not under /hot down the list either. I am not getting any help or response from the moderators there, so I am asking here before emailing Codemasters about the issue. Sample post: https://www.reddit.com/r/dirtgame/comments/lrf4tr/did_i_miss_a_cut_d_nz_elsthorpe_sprint_reverse/ What exactly is going on, am I being targeted or is there some special filter? None of the posts mentioned are violating any rules or are contr
  13. Most likely you need to change to stereo speakers in Windows not 5.1 or 2.1 or whatever. Phil is on the center speaker channel in those setups.
  14. The negative aspect is that if a player didn't pay for the game, or only paid for DLC, it's more of a "you don't own anything" situation which will cost society a lot in the future. The voice and power of an individual to make demands as a client under any kind of contract will be further diminished. The client becomes Sony or whoever, and they won't have the same requirements as the player base. "Don't own anything society" is coming fast. ๐Ÿ™‚ Other than that I don't see a big issue with it as long as it's not more expensive overall.
  15. That Rally selection is good! (except the Spain stage) ๐Ÿ™‚
  16. Yeah absolutely, IDK if I had a brain fart and completely forgot to list this or what, but that's one of the other main driving bits that's not currently in the game. Rocks being pulled out that can cause a puncture or maybe rad damage. ๐Ÿ‘ Ah no, it's here, I did mention it.
  17. Well one reason might be that the Maxi is trying to kill you occasionally. ๐Ÿ˜„ The other thing is that it drifts all over the road supposedly due to "torque steer" but you just dont feel anything on the wheel. One thing to maybe try is to raise it up, its a tarmac car.
  18. Yeah I mean other people hold specific cars more dearly, but this is the features suggestion thread anyway, there is a car suggestion thread beside it where people can add car requests and I am sure we will get some new ones! (even so, I think it's hard to argue that cars are more important to add than say, stage length or new venues/locations)
  19. Seems you are repeating the same requests in the same topic Matt. ๐Ÿ˜› Meanwhile I couldn't care less about too many different vehicles being added, what the sim/game lacks is many realistic physics bits and many features etc. All have already been pretty much listed in the first post.
  20. Apparently you are when someone signs you up to the Beta at Codies.
  21. Don't worry guys! I have a cure for your RWD OCD, it's called an F2 306 Maxi Kit Car by Peugeot ๐Ÿ˜„ Mega fast, massive screamer, and is powering the correct set of wheels for rally. ๐Ÿ˜œ That top time is definitely legit ๐Ÿ˜‰
  22. I'm not going to disagree on a lot of your post, nothing really replaces CWC somehow. I do think however that if they just created a new campaign the sales numbers would not be stellar to say the least. Mostly it would be people who loved the original (and not all of them) buying. These companies now want much higher sales numbers. But hey, I can't claim to be the market expert on this, I've been out of that specific game industry for about 12 years (was on the milsim side until recently)
  23. I signed up, but I think RaceNet is a pretty boring game ๐Ÿ˜œ
  24. The main reason for this is the gamers are better drivers in the games. And very likely the gamers would be better drivers than Rosberg in the real cars with that time invested. You have to remember that the barrier for playing a sim is MUCH MUCH MUCH lower than getting a lifetime of training and track time and then a chance in F1. So the talent pool is much larger. So basically you can say different things about it. You haven't put the gamer in the F1 car or F1 team simulator for any serious test to see how well they would do.
