  1. @BarryBL I have un-installed and re-installed but the problem is still there. @steviejay69 I have unplugged the HDMI switch and have my computer monitor back running directly from the graphics card. No change - still crashing.
  2. @BarryBL. Do I un-install it from my PC, from Steam or both? I don't have the physical game - just a code. Also, if I remove and re-install, will I lose my current game data? @steviejay69. I don't understand what you mean. I have an HDMI switch which allows me to route the computer to either the TV in my racing setup or my ASUS monitor. Are you saying that this crash could be the result of my graphics card?
  3. @BarryBL Please have a look at my original post (saves me explaining what was happening 😊). I have just Verified the files and now I get the EGO Dumper page, click on Send Report and that is it. No game. Nothing. At least before I had a work around but now I can't get anything to load. Then I had a thought. The original issue started with F1 2019, so I Verified those files. F1 2019 launched. No problem. OK - go back and try and launch 2020 - no go. Just the EGO Dumper page. Just to make sure, now that the 2019 issue was solved, I re-validated 2020 but no joy. I have also, as a matter of course, re-booted my PC but that didn't change anything. The outcome then is that validating the F1 2019 files fixed 2019, but validating the 2020 files has broken 2020! I would appreciate it if you could suggest a way forward.
  4. Hi all. After messing around in Career and doing the online events for a few months I think it is time to try out 'My Team'. I have read countless posts about My Team but was wondering if those of you out there who now have a good level of experience would like to share that with me - and anyone else who might be considering My Team. I am thinking about any tips on things that, as I set My Team up, I definitely 'must do' or, probably more importantly, definitely 'must not do'! Any advice would be appreciated.
  5. Thanks everyone - there is some real good stuff here. Your time and effort is much appreciated.
  6. Thanks @steviejay69. So do I now just sit and wait.....and if so, how long before I should rattle their cage again?
  7. I have just come back to see if there is any progression on this and I noticed it says 'awaiting information'. I filled out a bug report, posted crash dump .zips from both 2019 and 2020 games and also posted my dxdiag file. What other information are you wanting?

After 1.07 patch the SAFETY CAR is gone

Is this issue platform based? I use a PC and have seen both SC and VSC quite often. Perhaps we should all state (like @RS Phil above) what platform we use plus any other info on kit. As it is, it isn't clear which platform is being used when people are reporting issues. Having said that - @RS Phil - how do you tag that info on the bottom of your posts?

Sorry - this should have been included above.

    Time trial

Another view point on this. Is it possible for anyone to be in the top 10 (bearing in mind the quality of the drivers there) by running a stock F1 2020 game setup? In addition, by coincidence, in the TT board posted above, the 5 drivers who are using stock setups are also using assists. Mmmmm.
  12. I have never understood this 'Oooo....we can't lose Ferrari....they are soooo important to F1' attitude. **** em. F1 doesn't need them and the fact that they get a bigger slice of the financial pie because of their 'History' is a disgrace.

@HamishOK - I'll probably go the extra £100 and go for the PRO F1 but £2299 for the Ultimate is a step too far for me. Several steps probably! 😄 And that probably IS Valtteri's spare room!!!

@Rango did you build that yourself? Is there a copy of it in the Community section?

A recent TV upgrade in the house left me with a spare 42" JVC so I am using that at the moment but seeing the peripherals on your setup has made me think about a triple monitor rig. Maybe after the racing seat..........

Thanks @DiGuB. That is another tick in the Playseat column. @Ialyrn - what monitors are you using in the triple setup?
  17. You could be right...... That would certainly go a long way to explaining why so many of them are in F1..... 😁
  18. I live in the UK and know, due to world time differences, that after my last possibility to race (9pm on Sunday I think), there is still another 4 hours before the event finishes to allow (I am assuming) drivers in the US/South America to compete until 9pm their time. This obviously makes sense. Yesterday, as I was working into the evening/night, I checked my own performance in the Melbourne race. I had done my own race on Saturday and at 10pm (UK time) I was 340th out of 3060, putting me in the top 11%. What is interesting is that in the next 2 hours 7 times were added to the list (3067) and 5 rated higher than me, dropping me down to 345. Checking the final positions today another 17 had competed, 10 of them finishing above me. What is interesting is that in that last 4 hours, 24 people were added to the results and if my 11% rating would have been maintained, 3 would have finished above me. As it turned out 15 did. This isn't a complaint in any way shape or form. Finishing 345th is my best ever result so I am happy, but was last night just a freak set of results or is there an advantage in racing at the very end of the Global weekend time window?
  19. I was thinking along those lines. If not a fluke set of results, then AI involvement could be a reason. As I said, over two hours only 7 results were added. If you are in a race with 16 or 17 AI competitors then perhaps it might be easier to complete a race with more compliant opponents and therefore a faster time. You still need to be able to drive of course - but fewer human hazards on track might be worth the risk of not being able to re-race if you do happen to get it all wrong.

@pbrstreetgangkt is "reseat formula" a typo?

@marioho - yes I did think about that. I am wondering if the next step will be to attach a hoist to the ceiling to help me get in and out of the rig!!!

I think I am convinced. I use left foot braking with my Club Sport V3 pedals so the centre support doesn't sound like an issue. Thanks for your advice @RS Phil.

@RS Phil - like you I run 100% race length so your comment about back pain is a concern. Do you find it is upper or lower back? Do you find the centre support for your wheel an issue for your legs as @Lakrits has mentioned with his Evolution?

    Well, actually, that was a reason it wasn't a £2500 Les Paul....... 😉 😊

David Greco's Handling, Driving and Setup Q&A

I have to agree. I selected the McLaren MP4 13 for this weekend's event and the first time I drove it I couldn't put 3 corners together. As it is now, after more than 70 laps practicing, I think I am still losing up to a second a lap because I have to be sooooo gentle putting on the power after a corner. I have no doubt if I was a Jedi Master in the black art of creating setups I might get somewhere but I don't have that skill and have exhausted the usual options of anti-roll bar/diff power lock/rear springs.
