    GRID Autosport Feedback

To arms! To arms! ... They don't have the missouri flag included in the game! Its the United STATES codies, you redcoated jackalopes!  I hope you are joking around about suing and writing your congressman.  Otherwise the fact that codemasters responds to its forums has obviously made you mad with videogame nitpicking power..  That'd be cool if you could make your own flag but obviously thered be alot of inappropriate stuff.  I'm deathly serious, as we speak my countrymen are leaving their frustrated sheep on the hillsides and joining the march on Codemasters HQ . . .Oh!  . .and if you must pick your nits do it elswhere, there's a good chap . . BTW, the Welsh don't have the monopoly on Sheep and Welly boots, in Cornwall we know a bit about me and ewe, if you get my drift ? I know, I know, next your going to ask me what the Welly boots are for ? ~O)

We've no plans to update the roster of flags at this time, for future titles I'll be sure to express your desire for Cornwall to be represented. This is a golden opportunity for some much needed PR . .are you sure you want to miss it ? On another note, can you afford a possible class action over downright predjudice ? . .I've heard rumblings in the hillsides, and a rattling of pitchforks, but I'm only the spokesperson, if you get my drift . . .   In case you missed the power of the award, this is Prince Charles' Duchy, and the minority status has been something very close to the PM's heart . .not least because he enjoys holidaying here . . .but if CM feel they can afford to stick two fingers up at them who am I to argue ? With all the letters I have written associated with our status one more to Downing street would be interesting to say the least . . sure to raise a chuckle, maybe even some publicity ? ~O)

Loore, good buddy, I don't want to belabour a point but I'd hate to see EA, an AMERICAN company, steal a march on CODEMASTERS, an ENGLISH company, by including the Flag of St Pirran in their games first. Not wishing to be sarcastic but there is a clue floating around, UNITEDkingdom, meaning four different countries making one whole . . . St Pirran is missing from your flags so you are not representing the UNITEDkingdom . . .  ~O)

Well I can't be 100% certain, but they're both pretty steep inclines aren't they? My suspicion is that gravity is moving the weight more over the rear wheels resulting in a loss of front grip. Not the nicest handling trait in the world when you get it for sure, but don't think it's something we'd want to 'fix'. :) That argument might stand for Okatuma, but the corner at Istanbul B is virtually flat . . .after coming down into the last right hander the road flattens before the bend . .I can remember in Grid 1 that we would go out far left onto the run off area to curve the bend because of this massive understeer if you tried to take it on the racing line. The only other way was to virtually stop and crawl around. Now, whilst I have your attention, about my Flag of St Pirran ? . . ~O)

The game introduces massive understeer in certain places on certain tracks - this is the kind of thing a selective beta would have picked up on. On Okutama GP as you start up the hill around the long right hander is one I have noticed, and on Istanbul B, just as you come around the final right hander to the home straight the understeer is worse than in Grid 1, which makes me wonder if some of that code was used in the making of it ? ~O)

LOORE: Cornwall is no longer a County of England but a minority country in its own right, the same as; Wales, Scotland, and N.Ireland. We have always had our own flag and tartan, see: yer tis, in my sig. So, plz can we have our flag of St. Pirran included in the game. This is not a trifling matter, for decades we have fought for this status, and the Welsh, Scots, and Irish flag without a Cornish flag amounts to prejudice on a National scale . . . ~O)

well you nearly did it. Losing to Argentina is nothing to be ashamed about as they're a good team although I think they did just about have the edge on you in that game. You gave them something to think about though. [-X [-X [-X [-X [-X

Corrupt Save Files - Fix Incoming!

Yes you need to back your save up on a regular basis but make sure that you use 2 USB sticks and keep them labeled or something because if you only use 1 then chances are your going to overwrite a good save with a bad save because you wont know if you save is corrupted until you start the game back up. Good thinking, batman . . .I'd saved them to another drive but like the idea of using a couple of usb sticks . . . ~O) Always keep atleast 3 to 5 backups matey. It can be in the same folder or on 2 different places that doesn't really matter. I have one folder with the latest backup which I copy to a different folder within that folder before I overwrite it. Been doing it like this for years now and never had any problem. God I wish I remeberred the name of that backup program I used in the time of tdu1. Excellent simple program that allowed you to choose how many backups you want before it starts to overwrite the old ones. I only play games on the ps3 so that's what I was referring to. \:D/ It's still a good idea for any platform as there is no chance of any search for those contents . . . ~O)

Slightly different routine; I make a new save folder every time and when I have about 5 folders I start deleting the oldest one as I add a new one. At the moment this corruption thingy is all conjecture by us but I've always had a very big question mark over Steam and Racenet trying to chat to one another . . . ~O)

GRID Autosport - An honest review

PC is, and always has been capable of more graphically. That isn't something new. But the fact remains, most of PC gamings revenue comes from older games and FTP games. In fact a majority of PC players don't have PC's that would out power the PS4 currently. Gaming PC's are a niche Market. Console is the market where all the "now" money is. It's been that way since the 90s. The sooner people accept that PC and console aren't even the same market, similar to how handhelds and console aren't the same market, the better off we'll all be. I vaguely recall conversations about cell technology with one of my nephews (programmer at Creative Assembly) many years back, don't remember too much but 6 to 8 processors were mentioned for this technology, making it extremely powerful. I also remember the imbalances between games makers and graphic cards makers, causing a lack of optomization in the PC field which would suggest that until recently the PC actually being seen to be more powerful had been just a dream for the future . . . I had heard that console sales are down, and even though overall there is a slump in PC sales more and more people are looking at the PC as the way to go . . .that said, I imagine the slump in console sales will still equate to greater profits than from the PC. ~O) The ram limitations of the PS3 made up for the cell. PC is still less optimized than console. Console sales were down because PS4 and XBO were approaching, the PS4 has sold more consoles in less time than the Wii, and the XBO has vastly outsold the 360 in the same amount of time.  In other words, console sales being down are about the same as saying PC gaming is dying back in 1994. There is a lot of conjecture concerning numbers of this and that, and all is a waste of time because none of them are going out of business any time soon. Another of my nephews has PC and 2 different consoles . . .more money than sense in my opinion, buying 3 versions of the same game . . ~O)

It would be nice to clear up this selling and re-buying of the same car. Presently, if you sell a levelled up car and buy the same car again you have to start from scratch. It has been said that you shouldn't have to do this, that the new car will come with all levels of the one sold. Which is correct ? ~O)

GRID Autosport - An honest review

Just proved him right with that link. LOL you obviously cannot read. But meh.....whatever. If you are referring to the genre scenario making up the numbers, then this only means one thing: If someone dared to produce a decent enough racing game that PC players would want to own (actually would feel compelled to won) then this would change quite significantly. Consoles are NOT where the money is right now. Period. "The growth in PC spending is being driven heavily by the explosive growth in MOBAs like League of Legends andDota 2, Cole said. That certainly gels with what we found in our recent Steam Gauge analysis, which shows Dota 2dominating in a number of gameplay statistics." "The PC gaming market is also dominated by older titles; Cole said there wasn't a single title released in 2013 that made the top 20 list of most played games for that year, though 2014 releases like DayZ, Rust, andHearthstone have managed to crack the popularity lists. PC gaming revenue growth has been especially strong in Europe and among free-to-play titles, Cole said." I can read just fine. You destroyed your own argument, you're just such a blind PC fanboy that you're only seeing what you want to see, instead of what's actually there. PC market is a different market than console market. Most games do better on consoles, esp when first released. The same gametypes (MMO, Strategy etc) do better on PC as usual. Is this one of those; "my pecker is bigger than yours . . .", type arguments, lol . . I know little about these arguments but I have heard that the rise in PC gfx card power has pushed it ahead of consoles, even the next gen ones. It's not always easy to know who to believe because most reviewers are out and out liars owing to all the backhanders they take, but PC sales have been down, although no info to confirm that. that has happened in the gaming rig sector where many console owners not wishing to be left behind are buying the immensely superior graphical power of the PC. So many opinions trying to pass as fact means the majority of posts become subjective, not a good way to reach an objective conclusion . . .same goes for magazine review articles . . .more tea ? ~O)
