    GRID Graphics Discussion

And we know where the Driveclub devs ended up... oh 😛

    DiRTy Gossip about WRC8

I'm still waiting to play it; CDkeys bumped the release date back to the 19th, I just checked and they've sent me a Steam key?! But the Steam version isn't released until Sep 2020! Either I have a long time to wait or they've somehow got access to the Steam version early, I dunno. Am asking them, as they say it's an Epic Games Store key on their site...

I think when I have a play around, the cockpit hands seem to match 360 degrees, but it depends on the car I guess. I often use 270 as my old MOMO Force only went that far, and many games expect that, but obviously with things lik DR2.0 you can use the full 900, if you want a crazy workout!

1, 2, 3, 4, 5... compare the McRae Rally series (not added the 2013 one or DiRT yet though!): Part of my "Every PC Rally Game" playlist, which has nearly reached 2005(!): https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYDobL0b26ugFuXASCIC9qmFb9_k4_fqU

I've been continuing to make videos of every rally game on PC on YouTube. Xpand Rally had a driver injury system where you could (apparently) die, and you'd lose your saved profile if you did!

    Possibility of Purchasable Skins?

Why can't we have the one from Colin McRae Rally (mobile/Steam) 2013?

It releases next week, but there's still no page on the Epic Store to buy it! Although CD Keys has it for £20.99...

    2001 Focus and Subaru

I had a Forester STi for a while, it didn't make the standard sound, someone at the garage said the headers were straight/equal hence less rumble but better performance.

    A new TOCA game?

Interesting article here, thanks to TeamVVV for highlighting it: https://www.express.co.uk/sport/f1-autosport/1164089/BTCC-TOCA-Touring-Car-video-game-Codemasters-Alan-Gow-Dan-Cammish

Regarding that Wales Epic Stage, I've never really been a fan of them combining the Great Orme special stage with mid-Wales forests (which in reality are far apart). They used to do it in the earlier, Milestone-developed, versions of the game.

    Welcome to the new GRID

Takes me back to ToCA Race Driver 3... although the top F1 car in that had way too much grip! I'm hoping the F1 physics aren't too far off the F1 games (as they have the same car, and it could be a useful promo tool to get people into the F1 games)

That seems a bit pricey (over £60 for base game (this seems like a mistake, as the middle deluxe one is same price) over £80 for collector's edition). cdkeys has the base game listed for £24.99!

GRID wil feal empty with out drifting

it's not pure drifting, but Eurogamer article states: "It's wonderful having touge back, though the course available is a direct lift from the original Grid and perhaps feels a little over-familiar." https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2019-07-10-grid-feels-a-lot-like-the-original-for-better-and-for-worse
