  1. Can the safety car deploy on lap 1? Can the safety car deploy on the final laps? Does the safety car deploy from ANY cars that are crash (lose a wheel) or retire? Can it be deployed on any track multiple times a race (like 3 or more)? Thanks

  3. So I signed into racenet on my computer yesterday and made a club, my account is linked because I can do the racenet events/challenges. However, when I check to see my club, it always says Offline/unavailable. In online races, my gamer tag does not have the club initials [UKM] next to it. I am online, playing the game, why isn't the club online too? Other people in the races have their club initials next to their id, why isn't mine? I am the principal of the club. The club name is Ukfan Motorsport (so clever).
  4. 2014 is going to be an action packed year for IndyCar. We see a new track added to the schedule, Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course for the inaugural Grand Prix of Indianapolis and new famous faces coming or returning to IndyCar: NASCAR driver Kurt Busch and former F1 driver Jacques Villeneuve will race in the 98th Indianapolis 500, and Former F1, NASCAR, and IndyCar driver Juan Pablo Montoya returns to IndyCar this season. The schedule is as follows: 1. St. Petersburg 2. Long Beach3. Barber Motorsports Park4. Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course5. Indianapolis Motor Speedway (98th Indianapolis 500)6. 5. Last year when F1 2013 was released, the North American version of F1 2013 was delayed until the end of October, then it was delayed once again to December. Then it never came out. The silly excuse was a some stock problem which apparently ended up being never fixed or delt with because the game was never released here. I tried asking for reasons, and I got the same scripted response from both the old forums and customer service through email saying that they had no idea what was happening and that they are working on it. Finally in January, I bought the PAL version of the game after paying outrageous shipping charges (I could have bought the digital version but I personally prefer and like the disc copies so i can play the game at a friends house without having to set up my account on their systems) only to find out that the DLC that the game offered would not work because the game was PAL and the DLC was NTSC (another waste of $15). I demand a apology from Codemasters from what they did to us North American customers.  So now I ask this question: Will disc copies/physical copies of F1 2014 be available to North Americans? I am giving Codemasters one more chance.  PS: I really like the new forums

    Announcing F1 2015

It amazes me how CM have become absolutely silent in regards to F1 2015... other developers would be actively talking about the game (not several weeks of silence) and making lots of videos and gameplay while distributing review copies at the same time. This marketing system is one sadly Codies seem to ignore more and more each year. It has nearly gotten to the point where the game barely gets any attention, at least here in the states (I can remember F1 2012 at least having advertisements here in the states and having full page reviews in Gameinformer, the largest gaming magazine here in the USA, now the game has its review posted in the back of the magazine with only about 4-5 sentences; Gamestop places it with only the spine showing, not the whole cover like it did for F1 2010-2012)  Codemasters needs to learn how to "re-crack" the code for hype and marketing/promotion.
  8. Probably maldonado wrecked the safety car to the point that only the seat was left  :D

Same but I think licensing restricts that unfortunately.

    Announcing F1 2015

is that your greatest concern seriously I was just asking pal, no it's not my greatest concern, I would like to see formation laps because it adds to the immersion,  F1 CE 2006 had it so Codemasters should be able to add it now as well. My up most request is 60fps and all 3 practice sessions.

    Will there be formation laps?

    F1 Classic Game Idea

If they chose to do this, I don't think CM could have cars from the late 90s and early 2000s since other developers have the rights for those seasons.

    F1 2016 THE BIG ONE ?????

(Pure speculation) I think that F1 2015 will serve as their trial for the current gen systems (PS4/Xbox One) where they release the game with some improvements (such as a better frame rate and more detail to the cars and tracks) but will not have a lot of new bells and whistles aka. new features (but I could be proven wrong :) ). I think it will be F1 2016 when Codemasters will add new features to the game as they would then have a structure to add to.

    Formula 1 TV Coverage Thread

Does anyone know what type of cameras FOM uses for their world feed? I'm asking this because their cameras seem to not be smooth when following a car (they seem to shake or chop slightly, instead of being steady) while at the Monaco GP and American motorsport races like Indycar and Nascar use this type of camera to broadcast and their shots are smooth and steady.  While I think FOM uses this type of camera (mounted on a tripod): Also, why did FOM not switch to HD until 2011? Nascar and other sports switched back in the mid 2000s.

    What's Your Favourite F1 Game?

Best game being 1, worst being 6.  1. F1 2010, had good FPS, live the life experience, full practice, good crash physics, etc.  2. F1 2014, fixed many problems that previous games had, but still only one practice session.  3. F1 2011, safety car and marshals along track walls introduced and day/night transitions for Abu Dhabi were good; however it had a very poor frame rate and lots of bugs.  4. F1 2013, good classic content, rest of the game had lots of problems.  5. F1 2012, worst PS3/Xbox360 F1 game in the series in my opinion, lots of bugs (safety car rarely deploying being one of them), removed FP1 and FP2, removed all "live the life" features (interviews and partial menu being in the mobile team HQ) 6. F1 2009, worst Codemasters F1 game, had very poor graphics.

"Layoffs hit F1 and Dirt developer Codemasters"

It's really unfortunate that this has happened, I wish the best of luck to the employees that are fired.

    F1 2010-2013 best career mode?

F1 2010 was the best because of the live the life features, now it's just some joke of an arcade game.

[VIDEO] F1 2014 Spa Hot Lap

I'm sure they've said before they can't use TV angles all the way round due to the graphical limitations on consoles. and you beleive them? Seems that every racing game in history has used TV replays but obviously its too much for the consoles. Convenient excuse for what should be a standard feature in ANY racing game especially in modern times I'm interested, what recent racing games do have TV style replays? The best F1 game of all: F1 Championship edition, the nascar games have TV angles, and Gran Turismo 6 in some cases.

Why the Hollywood style chase cameras, is it that hard to use TV style camera angles?
  23. ukfan758

    Unlimited flashback. yes or no?

It should be optional, but I would not use any flashbacks at all, because I want to learn from my mistakes.

What Players want for F1 2014

I call them trophy grinders, they want an arcade game that is super quick to roar through with complete disregard to realism.
  25. They've added more arcade features to appeal to the 10 year olds. KurtG85 said: Could not be said better.
