    Idea WRC Ultimate rallyteam explained

As you saw lsat WRC rallye of Deutschland , u see that damage and fixing the damage in the limited time is a big part of the rally sport,... amazing how Thierry Neuville's Hyundai I20 WRC was rebuild in 18 hours by the mechanics! I think that building/ repairing and preparing has to be a big role in the Ultimate team career.

What are Your Top 5 Rally Cars?

Have to agree with this: But if i have to select a couple of cars: 1. The Mitsubishi Lancer WRC05 An amazing unique World Rally Car, that has been very successful after the WRC campaign, the car has been developed by MML sport and has proved to be a winner car in many national rallies! 2. The Peugeot 206 WRC Beside the WRC, also the Peugeot 206 RC, Peugeot 206 S1600 and Peugeot 206 MAXI ( or in France F2000) cars where really amazing, I think its not just the WRC cars thats amazing but just this amazing car! 3. The Renault Clio MAXI ( all 3 generations) The Renault Clio kitcar from the 90's The Renault Clio S1600 MAXI The Renault Clio R3 MAXI 4. The Citroen Xcara WRC 5. The Ford Focus WRC ( All generations) But as i said before, so many beautiful and good WRC cars are build,... i cant make a list of just 5 cars, for example i do miss now many S2000 cars like the Peugeot 207 S2000, or the Citroen C4 WRC, or the Ford Fiesta WRC etc etc etc.... they are all amazing....

DiRTy Gossip about DIRT Rally Games

Instead of a WRC game a British Rally championship game sounds good to me as foreigner. Mobil 1 Rally Championship was awesome with the real long stages! And the S1600 cars. Personally I think thats a very good second hand if Codies can not take the ERC or WRC license. In combination with the Ultimate rallyteam game mode.... * sparkling eyes* godly....   Didnt @Kickup already asked for some Renault Mégane Maxi material? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3VtQyz8hYM

    Dear Complainers and CM

@berre Its clearly that I do not pretend to be Thierry, or do say bad things. Everything what i write over here is my personal opinion, not Thierry's... When I created this forum account ( 2 years ago or so) I choose this name because Thierry is one of my big idols, so I use this name with proud! When the forum get back online and I logged in i couldn't rename this account. But i will ask if they can change it,.. if it really is a pain in the ass for you.

    Dear Complainers and CM

First of all I have to admit that i did not played Autosport yet, didnt had the time duo work rallying etc to buy a copy and play it. So i wont argue with the Autosport part. But that doesn't say that because of some small "problems" every thing was bad what they made/ achieved in the years before!. Looking at the F1 serie, the Colin McRae Serie  and DiRT serie, those games where from high level! U can not say that perfectly SIM is what they needed to achieve, in the end games are entertaiming , NOT SIMULATION, els they would have made games for the official teams so for example Kimi Raikonen could train out side the F1 car. That doesnt mean it has to be fully arcade, since everyone wants to play like they where driving the F1 car,.. Well in that case Codemasters did a great job to find the right balance between SIM and ARCADE, its not fair to say their work was rubish because it isnt fully SIM. At the level designing ( circuits, tracks, etc), Car design , sound, menu's, game play everything was also outstanding work. yet again u cant say that it was bad. Those where all good quality stuff. And the fact that a small team produced this is outstanding and also an elite team!  And if your feelings are not understood properly, try to make a apointment with @Loore or so and disgust these problems around a tabel, and show what u think is a problem, in that case its gclear for everyone and would it be easier to solve. I think for the problems with Autosport its clear and they are working hard to fix it. About the focus on racing games by Codemasters i think its very clear : F1, Rally/Rallycross /Circuit /Off-road. so what kind of game. About your VW example its exactly whats happing but in that case the opposite way. Everyone wants to have tons of features,... dynamic weather, Simulation etc etc ,.. problem is because CM isnt that big, their is just simply no money and time for it when u create a game... they have so many other things to do to make a game! expection from most gamers is that they want every year a new game. Looking at the rally game, D3 got released in 2011, now its 2014, 3 years... we do love to see a new rallygame,... but u dont hear us complain that much do u? I went to Southam and saw what they where working on.... and really they dont sit still and wait... I think its also not a bad idea as u said before to reuse whats been good in the past. But the fact is,..  if u want to build your woden tower higher, u have to start from sketch again and take a diffrent approuch... I think Codemasters is doing that in the right direction and the next towers ( games) will be bigger better and stronger! I do have a lot of respect for Codemasters and their employees for what the created through all these years! Even football players have "Off-years" and perhaps some games where, but i know for sure that they will be only better!

    Dear Complainers and CM

Those numbers definitely sound indie lol.... I don't think we have 800 people working here :) Truth is, we are a lot smaller than people imagine but I guess it depends how you define Indie. We're not publisher owned so by that count we are indie, but in the very small team definition of Indie (Mojang, Facepunch etc) we're not. The likes of Ubisoft, EA etc all dwarf us, we're a small (ish) team in the British countryside, studios dotted across every continent we are not.  I did visit Codemasters in Southam and it really amazed me that it was a small team, that makes some amazing games! Its an elite team that makes one of the finest racing games that exist! I think we should give more respect to the guys over there... its outstanding what they achieve! No other game producer would do it better! Instead of keep complaining,.. start trying to do something,... buy their games, start to raise fundings for your codemasters games, donate some small amount and try to help them with testing or giving feedback,... also positive feedback! I tried to do my little part for the new Codemasters rally game, And yet it wasnt a cheap visit for me, since I flew for one day from the Netherlands to the UK to make a 5 hour visit max. But u know it was really appreciated! And it gave me a much better inside view of Codemasters,...   Instead work against them try to work with them! It will be a win- win situation. In the end money is needed to make a good game, take as example a VW Polo made by germans = more expensive then made by chinees , i am not saying chinees cant build cars, but there is a diffrense in price, technology and quality guess its the same for the game industrie. And yes I did met @Loore and many other people they are all people with a racing heart and love for games,... there is even an arcade machine in the cantine....

Phfff M-Sport has a busy weekend this weekend in Finland..... Even after Jarkko NIKARA retired (after a roll into the trees) they started to work already.... Sadly no super rally for Jarko but what an amazing job from M-Sport,... the speed is so high in the WRC rally of Finland!

Ha! You seem to have made some new friends over there already! You aren't allowed to moan about being bored waiting for DiRT though: you've already seen more than most of us! ;) Some things are limited to a small amount of peoples eyes and ears. ;) But critical feedback is always a good start to evolve , u always need to find new challenges and find the right way to combine left (arcade) and right (sim) on the road.

DiRTy Gossip about DIRT Rally Games

I agree with u about some parts.  I do like more content and no WRC license, But the fact is, as for Dirt 3 that the amount of tracks wasn't that much as 12 WRC rallies. ( i think D3 had 5 rally countries from max 5 stages) So I think that one is already busted. Beside the point because codemaster dont focuse at 1 or 2 sports, they had to makke for 4 other types of racing sport tracks, in my opinon that was a waste of time. for example i didnt liked the buggies or baya,.or hillclimb. my intrest is in rallycross and rally. And i do think that 80% of the codemaster rally fans ( read the buyers from the CMR games until Dirt serie) Are mostely ( almost all) intrested in rally and rallycross. A full focus on WRC is in that case with full focus on rally a really good strategy point. U have to focuse at 1 sport, and u can do that with all the people. It will make the 1 racing sport ( for example rally) authentic, good and u got in my opinion more tracks for the rallysport. I do think u can combine this with real rallycross tracks, sinds their only 12 rallycross tracks, and the track stays the same. I am not saying the WRC license is a must, for example if u focuse on the ERC championship that will be also good. ( or as the old game Mobil 1 Rally Championship did) focus on the FULL Britisch rallychampionship.  1 focus, 1 goal, 1 team behind 1 racing sport = number 1 rally game for every country.

DiRTy Gossip about DIRT Rally Games

The worst situation would be if an official and full WRC licence would force Codemasters to make a game the promotor would want. If Codemasters are able to licence great locations from outside of WRC and individually include modern and past WRC as well as lower category cars; and create an authentic and full of content experience then that would be ideal :) Easy right? :P Hypothetically speaking... What if it couldn't have that other stuff too, what if having the WRC licence meant just having WRC and WRC only, no Hillclimb, Rallycross, Dakar, ERC, Rally America, Group B, 90's or any of the other stuff you've mentioned before and that we've had in our previous games.  Would you still want WRC at the cost of all that other stuff? Hmmm that would be a hard one,.... I think first we have to tell what we think a WRC license would contain. My personally thought about the WRC license is: - Current WRC cars - All the cars (WRC cars) that once compete in the WRC Championship ( including Group B etc etc. ) - All current WRC Manufacures - All the Manufacures that once compete in the WRC Championship  - All current stages/tracks - Current WRC drivers - All the drivers that compete in the WRC once. Thats what in my opinion is the WRC license. ( Thats including Group B, 90's, S2000, R5 Group N etc etc.) Back to your question Lee; in that case I do want the WRC game by droping: Hillclimb, Dakar, ERC, Rally America, and sadly Rallycross. If the WRC license only contain the current WRC License, then I only should ask if their was an option to add an version like by F1 2013, something like a classic edition. what should contain Group B, and Group A (90's) If in both ways it couldnt get the WRC license Then I personally think, the best option is for Codemasters not to focus on the WRC only, but combine rally with the part of Rallycross.. In other words , WRC + WRXC Championship... I think Rallycross and WRC (rally) are the most important from the list. U can better do 2 sports good, then make like 8 racing sports half,... U can see that in DiRT3 , the missing of specific rally or rallycross rules etc etc made the game in my opinion less good. ( specially missing the Joker Lap, qualifications (in rallycross), and real rally schedules in rallying with service after a few stages etc etc . So last time back to your question. I do not mind what it will be, as long as their is rally/rallycross involved and that it is authentic.

DiRTy Gossip about DIRT Rally Games

Who says that all hints are correct? ;) *wink wink* I really hope that the rumour of the WRC 5 game is not true and that codemasters can get the WRC license,... I mean imagine a WRC serie line up as the F1 games,... made by Codemasters.... that would be awesome! I think also most of the Codemasters fans knows that Codemasters stand for High level Quality games. I think that is what we are searching for a WRC Rally / Rallycross racing game. Although i wont mind an ERC rally and a WRXC rallycross game, I think that also match equally to the WRC license game ( the wrc classes WRC2,3) I think some WRC cars would be good as add on without official liveries. Just out of interest what is it about having the WRC licence that is so appealing to you guys? How would that make the game better in your eyes? How am i going to expalin this easy and clear, Its like Pro evolution soccer (PES) and FIFA, Fifa got all the official license (almost all) and pes has some better game play, but u still want to play fifa because you got your heroes in an official stadion, tenue, all the official names etc etc, u dont want to play a game with fiction names, as said here before u want to beat your real heroes like Ogier or Loeb, in the real liveries, on the real stages etc etc also u want to drive all the old and new official rally cars like to change history! For example drive the Peugeot 206 WRC against the Hyundai accent WRC.. Its like u dont want to drive in a F1 game tbe team ferrari thats called "italian horse" in the colour pink with drivers called kimi the flying fin or fernado the bull. As in the F1 games u want to challenge ur heroes or take part in the real current season!
