  1. They are not 'currently looking at' it. So they may have already looked and decided that each teams performance is acceptable to them and if we don't like it, we can change it in career.

Is there a data file on steam with editable team and driver performance tables?

  2. More info is good. I don't care about it being official HUD or not, now that I have seen where that's going.  As long as they don't add the horrible over halo l telemetry graphic, or those awful chimes and beeps that occur when a SC comes out, fastest sector is set  etc etc etc

Are they for the F1 fans who can't see the horrific graphic? Half the time they just drown out the commentators.

  3. ThrustMaster Ferrari F1 Add-On Wheel is a must for me I think.. ;)
However I am stuck on the base..
Thrustmaster VG T300RS Racing Wheel Servo Base for PS4 is a whooping £229.99! .. Just for a base..
    However..
Logitech G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel and Pedals £179.99! < Anyone who has this G29, is the wheel removable AND if so suitable for the ThrustMaster Ferrari F1 Add-On Wheel?

Not without some serious DIY skills a 3d printer and some circuitry or a pocket full of bills.

There are adaptors but some lose button functionality and need button box to get back all the functions. So for that wheel, stick with TM or Guillemot servo

  4. I am a controller player, always have been! BUT.. I am ever more looking into wheels and pedals, and of course what on earth to mount the wheel on so I can sit it right in front of my TV!

So question to you experienced with the wheel and comfortable setups, what are you using and how good is it really when put in its paces?
Plus bonus would be pics of what you are using, how you are using it. I have a large room but don't want to waste it all with a full blown professional seat but will consider it if available mounts just don't cut it.

A big thanks to any and all who reply with helpful shared experiences.
Playseat Challenge folds away with the wheel and pedals attached. If I sort my brake pedal out, this is perfect for me. However, price has gone up by 50% in last year as far as I can tell.

  5. If you want to build support for the product, perhaps offer a few free licenses to the community and have a handful of the more active users who actually have the games (immediately rules me out) review it.

Otherwise, 9 quid for each game specific unlocking of the app, with no testimony from trusted players, seems incredibly high.

What would be nice would be track analysis like you'd see in F1, Overlays versus team-mate, more realistic tyre model with telemetry where you could see if you are running too much/too little camber and overheating the inside or not generating enough heat, how much extra G can you generate in a specific turn for a given wing setup with just mechanical changes etc
That's partially what our app allows ::smile: We developed it just for this, to give access to the available physics parameters of the game to improve the setup and driving style. This is the first release and at the moment we have the core features, we plan new features in the future specifically tailored to the setup analysis.
Nice one. Would like them to put it in game assuming they have more parameters than what they can kick out to the apps. If your app is doing that I'd defo give it a try if they've actually given '18 a chance.

Thx for doing Codies job for free.....

Will download this app for sure! :)
I don't understand how you can call developing random pieces of software for other games Codies' job. I think Codies' job is to allow these kinds of software for their games, like what they have been doing for ages now.

To a degree. But people have asked for actual in game telemetry for quite some time. We're talking about F1 after all.

A lot of these are just timing tools with some useful information.

The stuff from F1 that gets a nerd drooling but a casual can happily ignore. GT3 had some decemt stuff back in the day, and more recently PCars was also useful for setup work, although using a more advanced physics engine

  8. Lagspins, invisible cars, flying cars, pogoing cars, safety cars allowing one driver to keep lapping at normal speed so that by end of sc period that driver has 2mins+ lead despite hitting under sc! Seriously, what is it your testing teams do?

  9. Is it possible to get money back under sale of goods act in the UK? It's not fit for purpose with the same issues as ever. Every year our download/ upload speeds increase yet each year ability to race f1 online has gotten worse, specifically with Americans, south Americans and Australians. Farcical stuff. Testing teams for this company are useless.
