Would you like to see a full blown IndyCar game form Codemasters?

Isnt Projects Cars 2 going to be the official game of the Indycar series? I remember reading Ian Bell saying that. It won't have all the tracks from the season but it will have all the teams and drivers. Either way my vote is no. Let them get things right in their F1 games first then we'll see. -
F1 Championship Edition on PS3 and GP4 on PC. It's a shame that with the processing power of current gen consoles we can't get near what these titles offered.

community favourites, old racing games to new.

Grand Prix 4. Then F1 Challenge 99-02, only because they made it geared towards the modding community and boy did it have some great mods. -
I loved that game on sega genesis. Especially Ayrton Senna's Super Monaco GP 2. Wish Sega can make that for PS 4.
-
I think all this talk about FOM and license issues is BS! Has anyone played F1 Race Stars on iOS? It has official cars and drivers, yet you drive as an unknown driver for a fictional team. Why can't CM implement that in F1 2015 is beyond me.
-
I fully agree. I think CM or any developer will have a better chance with the "immersion" aspect if they created an Indycar game. Indycar has less restrictions to their series.

I can't wait for tomorrow for North American release.
-
To those who have played Pcars, are there any differences in the Formula A teams or are they all equal?
-
you do get some games before we do a lot of the time though it's just on this occasion we're getting the game before you this time. You could always byu it on download through Steam though assuming you're on PC that is. PS4 gamer now. PC took too much of my life away, lol. The good old days of F1 Challenge 99-02 and the RH mods was my life. I spent too much time with that game and all the amazing mods. Now I only have time for plug and play, hence the PS4.
-
It sucks I have to wait until the 12th of May for North America release.

I reckon this should be a marketing strategy instead of a marketing policy. but correct me if I'm wrong. I think it's a poor marketing strategy. Most of us are so busy with everyday life. The majority of us on this forum will buy Pcars because we want an open wheel racer on our next gen console asap. We will be so immersed in our career from go karts to Formula A that we will buy F1 2015 after we are done with Pcars. Also there is nothing stopping SMS from releasing indycar and nascar DLC's (cars and tracks) for Pcars. Only EU gamers will buy F1 2015 on its release date as there is no hype of this game in NA. Thats my opinion.

After reading through the 43 pages of posts I have made up my mind. This will be the first video game that I will purchase used from the bargain bin.... Without a proper career mode there is zero replay ability factor so why bother to pay full price??? CM, you folks really did shit the bed this time around. Project cars will take away all of your sales for one huge reason, you can start with go carts and progress through the open wheel ranks ending with Formula A.

Should Codemasters's give up on the FIA license and create their own open wheel racing game?

We can get everything we want but lose the official teams. -
I want CM to give me that same feeling I had when I played games like Ayrton Senna Super Monaco GP or F1 Championship Edition. Right now none of your games come close to that experience. I would like to see the following on your PS4 attempt: 1- realistic cockpit view. Forget the helmet cam. I'm talking about view angle. 2- realistic damage. Where you can get injured and be sidelined for races or even the season. 3- a true career mode. You start as a test driver for a top tier team and complete objectives. Then either that same team signs you or another. This could span over multiple seasons. When you have no testing objectives you can view current races from a spectator view. Should the top 2 drivers fail to meet team objectives then you get that race seat for the race. Should the top 2 drivers have a major accident then you get that seat. 4- more "gear head" options like camber, steering lock, ride height, diffential, etc... 5- create your own team. Through the use of current 2015 sponsers and engine manufacturers. 6- salary or endoresement objectives. Meeting or exceeding team objectives nets you a payoff where you can start your own team because a current team didn't meet its objective. 7- more engineer chatter. I think you guys at codemaster should lose the fia formula 1 licsence and create your own pinnacle open wheel racer. I've been a CM fan for years thanks to Operation Flashpoint on pc. I think that was one of the best game ever created. Please get back to your roots. If you can make an ultra realistic game like Operation Flashpoint then make me an ultra realistic racing game.
