  1. Mirror's hate campaign against Jeremy Clarkson has really ticked me off.
  2. IMO Vettel's win in the Toro Rosso was no better then Button's in Hungary 2006. Both benefited from the quicker teams having terrible days and both were in similar conditions. Of course I'm probably being bias being a Button fan but I can't see why Vettel's win could be considered any greater.
  3. I would say something about the bold one but I'd rather keep my mouth shut :P Oh my, I have so many dirty puns I could use :o3
  4. OK I think this conversation has gone a teeny bit off-topic :P. We need an individual thread for this.
  5. As Tom kind of hints at, nice ideas, but rather vague. For example, It's all well and good to just say "Introduce a cost cap", but if you could come up with a way to enforce and police a budget cap that could satisfactorily cover all the teams, I'm sure the FIA would hire you immediately. Football manages to run FFP rules well, run it like that. All team's accounts have to be submitted to the FIA at the end of the season. If they don't meet the requirements, instant disqualification from the championship. Clearly you are unaware how difficult it is to implement cost caps in F1.
  6. F1 teams have a money incentive already, its not like they just accept if they're gonna finished 5th, 6th or 7th. They're always pushing to grab one higher spot and besides, its never going to be as interesting for the audience watching teams fight for 5th place in the constructors compared to 1st.
  7. Yeah, that's why Jean Todt is trying to introduce cost capping through regulations rather than through an actual cost cap, its ridiculously hard to force and the top teams are against it and can veto it out. Banning Tilke would  also be ridiculously unfair. As far as I'm aware there's strict regulations when constructing a track to F1 standards and he's only done what he's been allowed to do. There aren't actually many Tilke drones I'd remove in my opinion. India would obviously go but the only other track I'd think of removing would be China but that's about it. The rest are ok and w
  8. Sadly the majority of those things listed would be extremely problematic to do.
  9. I like the royal family. :( *hides*
  10. If they really want shorter races they could just introduce a similar system to GP2.
  11. Of course this is only an assumption.  :P
  12. Hamilton. Rosberg I just don't feel is at the same level of Hamilton at the moment and I doubt the rest of the field will catch up enough before the end of the season to overcome the Mercedes pair.
  13. I can't access Autosport forum's anymore because of insufficient privileges :(. Maybe they banned me but I hadn't posted anything, perhaps they took offense at my nickname? :D
  14. PC master race ftw :P Its where all the racing simulators are!
  15. It would be pretty poor of Red Bull to leave Renault after one bad season since Renault dedicate themselves to Red Bull the most.
  16. I'd be surprised if he picked a Honda engine and he won't be able to get a Mercedes engine as all the other teams with bigger reputations will fight out for the vacancy from Mclaren going to Honda engines. I don't know out of Ferrari or Lotus which one he would chose. I can imagine the Ferrari engine being more expensive however,
  17. He'll retire and go to DTM within the next 3 seasons, if not at the end of 2015. Ron Dennis is a clever guy and he'll know partnering a rookie (Stoffel Vandoorne) and a driver only in his second season will not be ideal. Moreover Alonso repeatably said Ferrari would be the last car he drove in (of course he may change his mind but he was rather defiant previously) and I can't see any other replacements unless Vettel is getting his ass kicked by Ricciardo and wants to move :P.
  18. In the short term, yes I think Perez has got the better deal. However Mclaren have great mechanical grip but a lack of downforce so I'd expect them to be strong in places like Monaco and Canada, and in the long run I'm sure Mclaren will bounce back, especially with Whitmarsh out and Ron in.
  19. Eat chocolate in small amounts ?  @-) :P You know one square at a time lol I once ate a whole bag of Cabury's caramel nibbles. I felt fairly sick for a very long time :/
  20. Funny how you bring those exact two races up. I seem to remember Vettel botching the start and then turning into Senna in Brazil (and got remarkably lucky that his car wasn't terminally damaged), and hitting a DRS board under the safety car and overtaking Grosjean while exceeding track limits in Abu Dhabi. Look at Webber in 2010 after his Korean GP. He wasn't the same afterwards, and he lost out as a result. That is what I am saying.  Ok I lied, I will say something else. Webber had an injury from the Korean GP onwards. That's what most likely affected his performance. Tha

  22. It was a broken shoulder. It certainly would of cost Webber the crucial tenth or two needed in qualifying where there are very fine margins, where the driver is facing high G-force. Any injury would of made a significant impact on a driver's performance regardless of its severity because this is Formula 1 and not Snooker or whatever.
  23. Anyone been playing Insurgency? I'm pretty bad at it but enjoying it nevertheless.
