  1. I loved this show with all my soul. Mikuru Asahina 4 lyfe Seriously though, I've never watched a slice of life that balanced all of the elements of a slice of life (humor, sadness, romance, intrigue, daily monotony) so well and so effectively. Kyon is absolutely my personality in a nutshell too which helped my enjoyment a lot.
  2. Just bought both of those blurays in the rightstuf sale, so excited to watch it!
  3. Okay, well, I'm glad you ended up enjoying it. I watched it when it aired so I just remember it being a massive buzzkill when the second arc got going, plus I hated the whole character/subplot with Lyfa. Still, I'm glad it didn't ruin your enjoyment of the show :) I've actually never made an SAO car, maybe I should do that next... As far as what to watch next... what genre are you looking for?
  4. hoo boy. brace yourself for that second arc. It starts at episode 14 I think and personally, I thought it took a serviceably decent show and dunked it in the toilet. Curious as to how you'll like it...
  5. I really have enjoyed Gakkou Gurashi! this summer, and I think everyone's excited for One Punch Man this fall....  I'm really not sure if I want to watch that one! I like cute comedy things and hate horror. I've heard it's both and it makes me uneasy! So I've been watching stuff like... Working!!!, Himouto Umaru-Chan, GATE and so on. Oh, and Shokugeki no Soma continues to be brilliant as well ^_^ It's definitely a cross between a slice of life like K-On! and a psychological thriller/suspense along the lines of Madoka or Mirai Nikki, except with much less portrayed violence than the

  7. 74 episodes is such a commitment that a show has to be genre-defining for me to watch it. I still haven't even watched FMA because of the high number of episodes, and that is genre-defining. Basically, godspeed, good sir.  Never seen it but I'm watching Gakkou Gurashi! this season and it's not your standard moe-girls-do-moe-things show. It's shocked me, I'm totally hooked.
  8. This was from when it was eating my posts and refusing to actually post them, so I kept editing it until it let me POST IT
  9. I always thought rallying would be the perfect motorsport discipline for a romantic comedy anime. I would love to see a short rally anime, similar to Initial D   It's funny you guys bring this up because literally as of a week ago I just started on this giant 18" x 24" piece that is going to be a mock poster/teaser of a rally-based anime. Sort of a slice-of-life/shonen kind of show (sort of like a cross between K-On! and Initial D, if you can imagine that, but with less tea drinking than K-On! and less teenage brooding than Initial D).  I'll post a WIP when I get more d

The genre I was looking to portray in my piece was almost along the lines of slice-of-life/magical girls (except no one is magical, of course - just very good at rally). I'll post a WIP when I get a little more done...

  13. New anime? Nah. But Mirai Nikki (Future Diary in English) sounds like it fits into that category. It's probably five years old by now but it's extremely good.  From what little I've seen of it, Mirai Nikki looks closer to Higruashi than Death Note and Terror in Resonance. I guess those two don't have much psychological stuff, more like thrillers with plenty of witty and clever things. Like a battle of brains rather than brawn.... still not sure how to properly categorise them. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion. That anime is on my watchlist. Hopefully I'll get round to watching it so

  15. @SynGamer, @Britpoint, @scarl3td3vil - it's funny you guys mention a rally anime because I'm actually working on a piece right now for a mock poster/advertisement for a rally-based anime. I'll post a pic when I've got more done, I don't have much yet. My goal is to make it look like a cross between K-On! and Initial D, but on dirt, lol (and with less tea-drinking). With the proliferation of weird titles like Rail Wars! and Girls Und Panzer it only seemed to make sense   And @789ifyz - I never keep up with the current seasons but I'm making an exception this year; I think I'm
