It's very multiplatform.  Xbox One / PS4 / Steam all play together.   :)

Damn, sorry to hear that. :( It's running until 11am Monday morning if that's any good to you...

It works much the same as Leagues did in DR - you can create Events based on the in-game Vehicle Classes. You could quite easily organise them yourself though e.g. set up Events with the same saved stages for different classes. Yep, Club events can feature multiple individual vehicles. :)

so easy to mock when all we want is a legit rally leaderboard.some of us go for those times its 90 percent of why we play it so much. " if you truly care so much about this issue the only way to go is console " nope.thats just avoiding the issue at hand.also making playing experience worse because someone else cheats and the problem isnt being dealt with. @KickUp that is **** about the vac banning. i can imagine trying to get the go ahead to do so then it backfiring like that must of been frustrating.didnt want to seem like a **** about this but when you launch dirt see on one track alone over 30 cheaters for one car set with unbeatable times what should i say ? its fine. i have sent hundreds of pics to darren with dodgy times.most are still up or playing.there is about ten people in dirt rally who if try hard know what rough legit times can be achieved for each course.they are often within seconds of each other or even hundreds of a second.so when they 20/30 a minute plus just remove them.they arent removed.the players arent banned. this is a discussion about dirt 4 and wanted to know if its better why ? because with your stage how many varations will there be ? millions its just gonna make policing even harder than what it is now. we have a small selection in dirt rally yet that cant be policed . I meant to reply to this yesterday but I got swamped helping with fixes for submissions (we're nearly done!! :o ) The Vac Banning thing on DiRT Rally was a real f***er for us. We were literally ready to start flicking switches when we had the rug pulled on us. The new method of submitting trainers is a pretty laborious two week process but we're close to having something in place for DiRT 4 now.  The problem with global leaderboards on DiRT Rally is that they are stored by platform holders. So if someone reports a dodgy time...there's no way I can validate it, as I don't have access to the data. The other problem was that I couldn't manually remove times myself. That's all done in a different office by someone with higher Steam privileges than me. ...the good news for DiRT 4 is, all of the leaderboards are stored on RaceNet, so I have direct access to every record from my own PC. Each record can only be posted if it contains valid ghost data, so we can be confident that it won't be a hacked time.  Leaderboards are multi-platform, so everyone in the world can suffer the wrath of Porkhammer, but we have provided the option to see records from your own platform only if you wish. To your point about millions of leaderboards to police @dgeesi0, you're right and that would be impossible. So, procedurally generated Stages will only have leaderboards in Dailies / Weeklies / Monthlies. The Global leaderboards you will be dominating are the ones featured in Career mode, of which there are 4000+. Hope that all makes sense and sounds reasonable. I'll be around this thread more now that we've nearly finished the game, so let me know if you have any questions.  Love, The DiRT Fun Police Wow, 4000? I read 300 somewhere? If you save a generated stage and share it with friends, will there be a private leaderboard to look at? Yep the number of leaderboards is 300+ stages multiplied by the number of  Rally Vehicle Classes. :)

I think we actually changed the percentage depending on the platform.  :p Who's responsible for naming "The nightman cometh"? Give this person a raise. https://youtu.be/iJNtVNe286E That will be Hatward I love you @Hatward <3 o:)     I'm guilty for most of this list but the Always Sunny reference actually came from our web designer Kev (@pixelpusher87 on Twitter). @CMMcBabe and @KickUp also chipped in with some choice suggestions. :D

Hmm...that's annoying. Are you enabling any of the stages in your events as checkpoints?

Not super-ultra-mega-hyper awesome. More of a decent value stepping stone to the mid level Engineers. They do come..."fully loaded"...with perks for their respective classes though.

While I'm very happy to police the Steam and Online Event leaderboards, I wouldn't be comfortable enforcing punishments in Leagues. I'd rather leave that up to the owner of each indiviudal League. Well if we look at it properly, you're not enforcing a punishment in the Leagues, but you are enforcing a punishment for abusing an error in the Race.net system, specifically the League section in DiRT Rally. Basically it's like banning someone for abusing the alt+f4 bug in dailies. Also... once a cheater, always a cheater, so the sooner you ban him the less problems in the future for everyone else. League owners can still rule out their own punishments for this abuse, unless yours will be permanent ban (which it should IMO, kill all cheaters with fire) in which case it's just gonna be a removal from the league if it doesn't happen automatically. I mean if they abuse bugs like those in Leagues, nothing will stop them from cheating anywhere else. I run a league, and I put quite a lot of time into compiling all the results, but I wouldn't go as far as saying that anyone who abuses a bug should be banned forever. I too discovered a few months ago that things go weird when you register in over 6 leagues and I thought I'd accidentally had a leage run wiped. I didn't realise the implications of it at all, I just unregistered from leagues I didn't really care about to keep it at a maximum of 6. While I want the leagues I'm competing in to be fair and representative of everyone's skill, I think above all it should be fun; that means that when we find an error/loophole, we expect the devs to fix it (and it seems they've immediately noted this bug down), but  we shouldn't start an instant witch-hunt. I'm sure there are places on the tracks when you can do some relatively small short cuts to save a second or two, that is also cheating, but I'm not too worried if people do that, I have bigger concerns like trying to keep my tyres inflated. This ^ The bug is almost fixed, we're part way through testing the new code. :)

You can join more than 6 leagues but only your 6 most recently joined will show up in game. I think.Yup, you can join more than 6 and active ones will cycle thru ingame. Simmoniti is our Seb Loeb   I am just going to drop a bomb to make you all wake up. Just like Simmoniti I took over 6 leagues. In total 10 or so. After I finished them all. I noticed something strange; While I wanted to inspect my results I noticed I was wrongly placed on the league-table. It showed me at  5th place, but I am 1st place of all total stages finished. It seems to be it showed me the results of stage 1. So I clicked "enter" and I was able to choose a car. This is very similar to a bug we had in Early acces where you could re-do leagues, cause they were not saving if you had more than five.  Now I removed all the stages that I don't want to participate in, and now only have 6, so they must save again when a new event or seasons starts. I am only able to "re-do" three leagues, cause the other three seasons are ended or so. I will not abuse this flaw/bug.  However, earlier I posted why Simmoniti was everywhere in the cool awesome leagues, and  he seems to be "always" finished on 1st place. I've no idea if he is Seb Loeb anymore. It's likely other people are also abusing this flaw In short: I hope Codemasters will look into this flaw, cause it's easy to abuse and ruin the leagues for people if you have unlimited acces to re-do leagues where "restart event" is ticked off. Any other is their case. I don't have power here.  Have a fine day!  Ivy  @KickUp @Hatward @Jamielowesdev @Jamielowedev Thanks for the detailed write up, Rinus! We've managed to reproduce this internally so we'll look into a fix.

@Hatward You are a scholar and a gentleman and I thank you. He also commands armies of giant killer bees, to exact vengeance upon hackers by having them ambush the offenders by crawling into their pillowcases. Typical Oprah, unleashing plagues for her own gratification and amusment. At least @Hatward only releases the bees for the noblest of reasons.  Well, you say that... :s Don't make me come in there and get you stung!
